• Location/metro stop right there.
• The gym needed cleaning/sanitizing.

“I have stayed there before. I like the hotel and location. It could stand a little updating, but it was nice as is. I had some housekeeping issues but thats it in that respect.”

• They offered different bed sizes instead of just one queen which is the usual case.
• Mildew in bathroom.

“It is a very typical Marriott Hotel which always have grand lobbies. The room is nice and well equipped. Like most Marriott Hotels, there are usually some small issues in the rooms. For example, it was missing a pillow, it has some mildews in the bathroom. The furnitures are not aligned perfectly. Fixtures and walls are repainted. Overall, we had a good stay at the hotel.”

• Great location near metro, large convention and conference facilities.
• Maid service was not very prompt.

“Great location near the zoo. The hotel has delightful rooms and is very modern. The conference facilities are excellent and allow for a great deal of break out sessions and committee meetings. I believe this to be a great location for conferences, but not so for families.”

• The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and well kept.

“This hotel is one which caters primarily for conferences and business travelers. It is very large in size and at first can be confusing to find your way around. I would not recommend this hotel for someone wanting a relaxing or romantic stay.”

• The location was excellent, just 2 blocks from the zoo and one from the metro.
• Low water pressure on the 8th floor.

“The walls are very thin so you can hear everything that is happening in the hallway and next door. The hotel is huge. Room was clean and comfy. Parking is expensive.”

• Easy check in.
• All above..ie poor staff, not net, location too far from downtown.

“First of all usually when I use Priceline my results are outstanding. However twice when I was staying in DC and picked the Dupont Circle-Wolley Park area. I was placed in the Wooley Park are. Wooley Park and Dupont Circle shouldn't be matched together as Dupont Circle is a great neighborhood very close to downtown. In most cases you can walk to your appointments. Wooley Park is A 12 buck 20 30 min depending on traffic trip to downtown. It isn't close to downtown in fact it's 1/4 from the Md line. The service was lacking and wasn't helpful at all re internet service. At 5 pm it wasn't operating and at 1 am it still was not on. I had asked for the operator to call when it went on during my stay but she said she couldn't so every hr till 1 am I would call and get no satisfaction. Also, room service charges are out of site. 22 percent plus another 4 bucks on top of that. I travel a lot and haven't seen anybody add another charge to the 22%. Plus 37 dollars for parking! This ain't downtown DC.”

• Spacious rooms.
• Not as good service or amenities as rivals of same star level.

“Poor choice of pillows, inferior bed linens and motel-like coffee making service. When I called housekeeping to bring feather pillows and more tea bags, service was slow and inefficient. Room service banged on the door wanting to collect breakfast tray before I checked out and while I still had the Do Not Disturb sign up. These are small things but other hotels in the 3.5 star category perform much better.”

• Friendly doorman.
• Rude front desk, loud - no sound proofing rooms, extra small bathroom, and poor plumbing.

“Regardless of price, 3 stars only. The good stuff: Nice / friendly bell men, clean / well maintained public areas, recently updated rooms. Great gym free to guests. The bad stuff: Rude / unwelcoming front desk staff, no sound proofing in rooms - too loud to sleep. Extra small bathroom with poor hot water and broken toilet. Over priced food with little healthy options. TV reception is poor with limited in-room entertainment options.”

• The restaurant was very expensive for a family with small children.

• The hotel employee's were very helpful and knowledgeable. I liked that they had a computer to print out boarding passes.
• No hot tub.

• Located in a nice area of D.C. with both contemporary and historic sections of the hotel. The grounds were beautifully kept, with enclosed shops.
• There's nothing not to like in my opinion.

“I would like to stay there again sometime. The staff was very helpful and good spirited making me feel welcome. The Wardman Towers, where I stayed, is historically colonial and very fitting for a trip to D.C. My room was a nice size and impeccably clean and comfortable.”

• Would not extend my stay even though I told the staff that my son had to go to GW hospital with pneumonia and that we needed an additional nights stay.

• Hate paying $13/day for Internet in my room! But par for the course.

“We were happily surprised to get such a great rate on a hotel near the Adams Morgan/Woodley Park Metro stop. (Especially over the 4th of July weekend!) We loved the restaurants right near the hotel, we were able to take advantage of the zoo, Adams Morgan nightlife, and easy transit to downtown. Room was clean and lovely, hotel is beautiful, outdoor pool is a plus. Good times.”

“The hotel was located near Adam's Morgan, which is a charming area and very near downtown. The lobby was spacious and clean and the staff was friendly and professional. The room was also spacious, clean and well appointed. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone, including business travelers.”

• Room was nicely furnished.
• Staff was not very responsive.

“Arrived at the hotel and got checked in fine. Took a shower only to find there were no bath towels. Called housekeeping, then front desk and no one answered the phone after 10 - 12 rings. Finally got someone and it took over 1 hour to get towels. Rooms not sound proof. Heavy doors slamming all night and early morning as people came back and left rooms. Room was over loading dock and Sunday morning at 7:30 am there was a truck with back up beeping from a good 5 minutes. Not a restful weekend by any stretch of the imagination.”

• The location is great - right on the metro line. Mostly up to my Marriot expectations
• Our room was below the parking level. Not sure how but our view was out at a fire escape of the apartment building next door.

“Overall, a very nice hotel. If you can, ask to be in one of the towers. Grounds are very well kept and landscaped. Pool was perfect. Location is great!!”

• Nice public spaces.
• Too big and confusing, parking way to expensive.

“Had to go through three rooms to get a good one. First room was up against the elevator shaft and very noisy, second room had no A/C. Finally was moved to a third room where everything was OK. Not really in the Dupont Circle area, a bit farther north. Overall an OK at best experience, not what I have come to expect from a Marriott.”
