• Great free breakfast and close to a metro rail line.
• Well, it is nothing damaging, but I wish they had some DVD players on their TV's.

“I would like to come back to this hotel one day, just in a fit of great leisure and pleasure, and maybe able to bring my mom up this way as well, if it is possible and enjoy the great breakfast they have, including the sturdy and furnish able room space they have and relax to her heart's content.

• Nice layout, kitchen is great, well outfitted, and handy.
• The pillow smelled like dirty hair, the TV clicker worked poorly.

“Hotel caters to business oriented travelers with homey touches like hot chocolate in the evenings, dog friendly, free newspapers, a dining room devised so that people could meet. The morning breakfast has hot food but is uninspired, during the week they offer comfort-food dinner.”

• Great location with a large space to unwind after the day.
• They charged 15 dollars a night for parking.

“Great hotel with security and space to relax and unwind after work. They even have a bag of microwave popcorn for you which were nice. Great for single travelers for business.”

• The hotel itself was spotless and our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was outstanding and so was the service.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the DC area. It was two blocks from the King street's metro station which is easy to use for first time visitors. The hotel is clean, neat and comfortable and the staff is superb.”

• I felt like I was in my apartment.
• The housekeeper cleaned my room to late every day.

• The rooms were very clean, the furnishings seemed fresh, and it was well equipped.
• Nothing pops out.

“This was our first time at a residence inn but definitely will not be our last. The hotel was well organized in every respect, the location was good, the staff was very helpful, the rooms were exceptionally clean with fresh furnishings, and the breakfast buffet was varied and good. The room decor was basic but quite acceptable for its price range.”

• It was like being at home - they had every amenity I needed.
• Nothing at all!

“HIGHLY Recommended! Clean, friendly, fantastic breakfast buffet, FULLY equipped suites (full refrigerator with freezer). Even had a wine bottle opener. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel room at a fantastic price!”

“Hotel well maintained. Hotel lost power from Sunday 8pm until Monday 11pm but staff were all cheerful and did their jobs the best they could, tried hard to make guests comfortable.”

• The room was fantastic, well lit, spacious. A full continental breakfast (eggs, etc.) was provided in the morning.
• There is an additional $15.00 fee per day for parking. Surprise!

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the day we left, our car battery died and a hotel employee quickly assisted us. The hotel itself is beautiful, inside and out. The room was spacious and well-lit with any necessary kitchen items provided, as well as a dishwasher and microwave/convection oven. Other than the unexpected $15.00 per day parking fee, the stay was fabulous. ”

• Safe walking distance to metro station and great dining
• $15.00 per night parking fee but I guess that is normal in that area

“Excellent Hotel. Great Staff and excellent rooms. There was a kitchen with fridge, oven, dishes, etc. The area was very safe and we walked around at all hours of the day and night. The complementary breakfast has something for everyone.”

• The perks that came with the hotel were like those of a 4 or 5 star hotel.
• I liked everything.

“This Hotel was the nicest place I have stayed. Better that the 4 seasons or the Novotel in Times square. Simply amazing. Buffet breakfast. Happy hour with food and complementary beverage and a shuttle service that will take you and pick you up. 2 Blocks from the Metro and just an amazing staff bent over backwards to help us and our three children out. Just excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

• The bed was nicely made, lots of pillows, full size fridge breakfast was wonderful.
• I love everything except when ever I get company there was no place for them to park their vehicles.

• Good breakfast. Very convenient to Metro and Old Town.
• Not very good swimming pool hours.

“Nice condition and cleanliness. Gave impression of a top flight motel/hotel. Very useful location near Metro and Old Town Alexandria. Well equipped suite was comfortable. Helpful staff, but a courtesy van to National Airport would be an improvement. Nice, complete breakfast. Guess that's just how it is for a close-in hotel in a metropolitan area.”

“Very conveniently located, only a few blocks from the Metro; staff did not volunteer info on the hotel shuttle to the metro but would take you if you asked. very clean. All staff spoke to you each time you saw them. swimming pool not great for smaller kids; indoor, nice, clean; 4 ft pool all the way around. was happy to be able to use the guest laundry facilities. Great experience for 6 nights; but I left my cell phone charger plugged into the wall in our room and have not been able to get it back.”

• Convenient to metro, restaurants, nice neighborhood, free breakfast and dinner and a full suite. Outstanding for the business traveler.
• A lounge would have been nice.

“A great hotel with a perfect location a full suite with a kitchen and living area, free breakfast and dinner. The food was standard hotel cafeteria fare but a nice touch. The staff was great. Close to Alexandria shops and restaurants and metro. I'm definitely going to stay there again.”

• We enjoyed a spacious suite, large bathroom, beautiful view of the city, nearby shopping, and a free American style breakfast!
• Parking was much too expensive, it should be free.

“This hotel offered excellent accommodations. The suite was spacious, clean and quiet. The free, full breakfast really saves time and it was delicious. We enjoyed having upscale shopping literally across the street and access to the Metro nearby for an excursion into D.C. The only negative was the parking fee ($15 per day).”

• Would have liked a king bed.

“I was distressed to find out that, though it had been requested, I did not receive a non-smoking room and had to endure a night of wheezing in a smoking room. The front desk clerk was very apologetic, but had no rooms to give us. ”

“Nice hotel. I had to move rooms because the internet didn't work in the first room I got. I was on a smoking floor, but the room didn't smell too bad so it was ok. The hallways were very cold. Staff was friendly.”

• Friendly and helpful staff. I locked my keys in the car, the security personnel assisted me and made sure I was safe and made to my room.

“Excellent location, wonderful breakfast and the late night/early morning staff (1:00 AM) are very kind. I locked my keys in my car, they assisted me in contacting a tow truck and made sure I was safe and assisted me contacting my husband ( my cell phone was locked in my car with the keys).”

“This was a lovely hotel to stay at. We had a wonderful continental buffet breakfast every morning. The staff went out of their way whenever we needed something, including umbrella's. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel.”

• Staff was great ! Continental breakfast was fantastic, a very nice surprise service was great !
• Charged for $15.00 for parking, which I didn't know about untill I got there?

“Over all the stay was nice the people where nice, but the surprise of being charged $15.00 did set me back. There was no word that there was a charge untill I recivied my key and was told where to park.”

“We were extremely pleased with our stay. For the price we had a beautifuly appointed suite, fully equipped kitchen, free grocery shopping service, indoor pool, free hot and cold breakfast buffet, free newspaper at our door, free local papers in lobby, free shuttle to and from wherever we wanted to go in the area, parking in a secured garage, and very friendly and helpful staff. Even after we checked out they wanted us to call them for help if we got lost trying to reach our next destination. On a scale of 1-10, this inn was atleast a 12!”

• The room was clean and comfortable and the Hotel breakfast was great.
• The room was a considerable distance from the elevator.

“The hotel was very good and the location was close to the Washington Metro system which was great and allowed us to tour without worrying about finding parking. The employees were very courteous and made the stay very nice. Of course the big thing was the reduced price for the room. ”
