• Very accessible to the metro line and accessible to Old Town Alexandria.
• Everything was good.

• Clean, roomy, cooperative staff, great location and a
  good breakfast.
• Breakfast lines were too long.

“Embassy suites met all our expectations and more. It was situated across the street from the railroad into DC which made commuting very easy. The hotel staff was friendly and easy to work with. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. The only problem we encountered was long lines for breakfast.”

• Proximity to public transport, government offices.
• Too many children, food offering was limited, mediocre at best.

“Reasonable hotel, rooms nicer than public area. Large number of families with children (tourist most likely). Breakfast was disappointing; omelets made to order but mostly mediocre continental style offerings. Price was not great, but very convenient to mass transit and govt offices I had business at. Wouldn't allow a late checkout after 2 without paying another day's rate.”

• Breakfast option good; wait staff excellent.
• A spa that was out of order the entire time we were there.

“Rooms were clean, staff was good to excellent, the location on the Washington Metro line was just what we needed. It seemed ridiculous that a broken jacuzzi couldn't have been fixed in a few days. Also, noise from the elevators created a vibration and noise in the room we were in that was unpleasant.”

• Clean- close to train station and downtown.
• Room smell was strong then they moved us to smoking.

“Overall great hotel. 16 dollar parking was a bit high. Across street from train station/Metro. Next to Washington monument and at the end of the main stretch for downtown. Room was nice and big- the maid over cleaned our room with a spray scent that was to strong for us to stay so I asked to be moved but then they moved us to a smoky smelling room- there were very few people at that time so not sure why they couldnt put us in a better room- one that didnt smell. Otherwise good place if you can get a room that isnt too strong. I would recommend this to a friend.”

• Big and airy with location convenient to metro and old town.
• Parking stinks and what parking they charged you for was woefully difficult to park.

“Very pleasant hotel in a convenient part of old town. Our room was very nice with a view and breakfast was adequate. Restaurants close by offered better fare for dinner. Parking was very tight and I had trouble fitting in between concrete posts with my suv. Altogether a pleasant stay.”

• Inexpensive.
• We got a smoking room that we did not want and the front desk confused our bill regarding parking.

“It's a relatively unattractive hotel with very basic services and food. I would not stay there if there were other choices in the same price range.”

• The location was centrally located to the "m" train that traveled to Arlington and Washington D.C.
• Some very snooty staff. My wife lost her engagement ring diamond of 38 years somewhere.

“The breakfasts were fabulous and the manager's 5-7 cocktail hours were wonderful. After a very stressful drive down from Cleveland it was much appreciated.”

• The location, beds were comfortable, breakfast was excellent and so were cocktails, shuttle bus great.

“This was great for a combined business/pleasure trip. The shuttle bus was very helpful for close restaurants and shopping. The Metro into DC was a block away. Breakfast and cocktails served as part of the room rate saved time and were good. Overall, very pleased, and I would stay there again.”

• The exterior.
• Air conditioner did not work properly the first night. The second night the hotel lost its electric for seven hours.

“Would not stay in an embassy suites again. They did absolutely nothing for the guests while the electric was out. Unless, of course, you consider giving a flashlight when asked.”

• The location is excellent for touring the Washington DC, the metro is right across the street. The complimentary breakfast & happy hour are outstanding.
• Nothing bad.

• Convenient for the Metro, an excellent Whole Foods close by.
• Internet ability. This is a must for all, not real clean.

“This Hotel was under Construction a little bit of a pain. Staff was not real pleasant some were helpful some not. Convenient to the Metro and a great grocery store around the corner. I did not like the opening in the center of the hotel kids were running in the isle, lots of noise in the morning when breakfast started. Restaurants not real handy if you don't have a car.”
