Pat from Woodbury,MN “The staff was pleasant and helpful. a/c did not work right. The staff came to move us. When we did not want to move again the next day they put in a new a/c. Room was clean for what we were looking for. Close to freeway.” Aug 29, 2008 by
Tara from Kingsport, TN
“I very much enjoyed staying here. As I pulled up to the entrance, I wasn't sure how it would be. The outside was in poor condition, but I noticed construction was underway. That made me thinks that the noise would be unbearable, but was understanding due to the run down condition of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was cozy, comfortable, and clean, which is what I value most in a hotel. I did not hear any of the renovations outside. It was a pleasant experience, and I would return.” Jun 29, 2008 by

“The hotel was priced appropriately for our travel needs, it was easily accessible by public transportation. Desk clerk made sure we got a room even though we checked in early which helped us immensely.” Jun 27, 2008 by

“Nice, helpful staff, free internet, a pool, the possibility to do your laundry, a good breakfast. All of this you get under the roof. In the evening there's also pizza or chicken to get there. Public transport just 10 min walking-distance so we were absolutely satisfied with the location. One thing was somewhat less, not all the rooms had a fridge but then again not everybody needs one. All in all, good value for money.” Apr 15, 2008 by
Shelly from Moorhead, MN
“Sheets didn't fit on the beds and kept on falling off. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.” Apr 13, 2008 by
Bob from Shamokin, PA
“Room was basic, clean, and did not disappoint. Free breakfast did disappoint.” Apr 11, 2008 by
Albert from Fort Washington, MD
“Room too crowded. Linen not changed until asked.” Mar 14, 2008 by
Kristine P. from Bristol, CT
“We paid for 2 queen sized beds, and the hotel room that we got only had 2 full beds. It is certainly not walking distance to the metro; you must have a car to drive to it. There was a shuttle service but there was no information about it. Hotel said there was wireless internet; our room did not get it. The TV had about 5 channels all which came in fuzzy, and the continental breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee before 9 am.” Jul 23, 2007 by
James from Lanham, MD
“Flea infested bed bugs.” Jun 11, 2007 by
Rob from Sagamore Beach, MA
“Would not recommend this hotel to others. Very run down and immediate area surrounding hotel did not feel safe. Have stayed at numerous Days Inns in the past and this hotel does not seem to fit in with the chain's image. Not really even a 1 star hotel. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful in general.” Sep 21, 2006 by
Karen from Carbondale, IL
“For an inexpensive motel, this Days Inn was very nice. It's walking distance, less than 1/2 block to two bus stops, close to Huntington Metro. Staff was very nice and helpful. Restaurant on-site and breakfast includes English muffins, cereal, juice -- the usual plus Crispy Crème doughnuts. 5 Guys hamburger joint close -- highly recommended! 7-Eleven also close, they sell beer for those interested in having a cold beer after a long day. Pool was closed for season but it looked very clean and welcoming. Some noise from "neighbors" but no more than to be expected. I will stay here again should I need to return.” May 27, 2006 by
Kenneth from Havelock, VA
“This hotel was dirty, I had a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke and had cigarette burns all over the tub and carpet. The bed did not have fitted sheet, just a mattress cover, the ice machine did not work and when the staff was notified, they did nothing to correct or accommodate the problem. The room lacked and iron and ironing board. This room was not worth $97 for a one night stay. I spent less 15 hours in this hotel. I would have been better off sleeping in my car or a tent.” May 18, 2006 by
Zachary from Pinconning, MI
“The staff was very friendly. They treated us well and answered all questions about the surrounding area with authority. The place had free wireless access, but a very weak signal in our room. There was a continental breakfast, an outdoor pool, and close public transportation to the 171 Fairfax bus line and about a mile away from the Yellow metro rail line. The rooms smelled of smoke and we weren't given the choice of smoking or non-smoking room. The carpets also seemed grimy and our socks were dirtier when we went shoe less in the room. For a one star, it was worth it.” May 17, 2006 by
Nabeel from Alexandria, VA
“Dear Sir/ Madam. This time I was shocked . I was only offered a smoking room, where I do not smoke.... the room was dirty... staff unfriendly. I truly believe that I should get my money back. Thank you, Nabeel.” May 6, 2006 by
C from Fresno, CA
“No comment.” Apr 24, 2006 by
Robert from Gainesville, FL
“I was given wrong directions by desk clerk -- also, hotel has no shuttle service.” Apr 18, 2006 by
Sean from Kissimmee, FL
“Room was clean. Breakfast was as expected. Access to METRO system was not as expected. Wireless Internet was a plus. Distance from Central Washington D.C. was further than expected.” Apr 6, 2006 by
Audrey from Waldorf, MD
“I felt that the hotel was easy accessible to beltway. However, I had several sleepless nights due to the high volumes of other people within the other rooms. Also, when I needed to use the computer at the business center, there was no toner in the printer and the hotel staff was not helpful at all in replacing the toner.” Nov 2, 2005 by
Wendy from Harrison City, PA
“Location was not bad, close to Metro, only problem was with construction going on it. Was a little hard getting in/out of hotel. Staff was very friendly. Rooms needed some updates, metal fixtures were rusty, stains all over walls. Needed fresh paint and some new wallpaper. Room was dark and drab.” Sep 26, 2005 by
Don from Fairbanks, AK
“Laundry service was appreciated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very sufficient. It was so nice and convenient that I changed my itinerary in order to stay an additional day.” Jun 30, 2005 by
Michael from St Louis, MO
“The hotel was in a very good location. The room decor was pleasant, however the infrastructure is showing signs of aging.” Jun 25, 2005 by
Laurie from Locust Grove, VA
“Nothing special, but adequate for tourists. Good for kids - pool on interior courtyard. Pizza/gyros restaurant on ground floor.” Apr 19, 2005 by
John from Delaware, OH
“We liked the refrigerator in the room, the friendliness of all attendants, the walking closeness to the Metro, and the breakfasts. The location on a major artery to D.C. and to alternate arteries is excellent. We recommend this motel to any visitor who wants only a comfortable sleeping facility at a reasonable price.” Apr 16, 2005 by
Linda from Met, LA
“Very disappointed for a Sleep Inn! Very outdated and old as well as a very unclean smell. The property itself was also unkempt. The light in the hotel sign was out. The doors were dirty and needed painting. Because of this experience I will never stay at a sleep inn hotel again.” Oct 19, 2004 by
“A fine hotel for the price. Very convenient 15 minute walk to the Huntington metro so with free and safe parking, cheap at twice the price. Onsite eating options are limited, but there are numerous chain restaurants within a short walk or drive.”
