• The staff is wonderful, very smart, kind, and helpful.

“In this world, the word service and making you stay great are seldom used and almost never acted upon. This place will change you mind completely. First rate staff willing to meet all your needs and the place is great for comfort and ease. If all hotels ran as this on, we would travel more often. Simply great!”

• The bedding was great with down pillows, blanket and comforter.
• The coffee machine made the water taste terrible and the hot water from the faucet was rusty looking at times.

“I would stay there again. It was close to airport so had free shuttle to and from. The rooms were clean and comfortable - the beds were great and the help were very friendly and helpful. The room service was excellent - fast and very tasty. Great value.”

• The room was large enough, even with two beds, to set-up my baby's portable crib.
• We wanted to use the pool but it was closed every time we tried.

“The hotel stay was great. The view was nothing spectacular but it did the job. The breakfast at the restaurant was a little pricey for what it was. Overall, we would probably stay there again if in the area.”

• The shuttle to the metro station was a great perk.
• The parking fees of $18 per day.

“The room was spacious and the bed and bedding were very comfortable and nice. The hotel was in a great location, with easy access to Washington D.C. area and all of the attractions. The shuttle service from the hotel to the metro station was a nice amenity.”

“The hotel is nice, but at 18 a day for parking and 12/day to use the internet. Room service also charges 21% service charge and 2.95 delivery charge in addition to whatever tip you want to leave.”

• Very resonable
  and nice rooms.
• Internet is terrible. Like you are on a slow dial up.

“The convinience of the shuttle that takes you to the Metro is great. However, the schedule is way off if you are counting on it. Be very flexible with the shuttle getting you back to the hotel.”

• Location is not convenient-except for shuttle to mall.

“The hotel was fine-but the location really is not convenient, with a short shuttle ride required to get to the local mall, which then allows one to take several subway rides to get to other places in Arlington.”

• The lobby is appealing and lovely. That is sadly, where the loveliness ends.
• Our room was pathetic. It had many cob webs and peeling wallpaper. The chair was dirty/stained.

“This hotel had a lovely lobby, but our good experience ended there. Our room was directly adjacent to the drive-through loop, so there was traffic noise. Also, there were 'skylights' on the slanted ceiling which were filthy looking and had cobwebs in the corners. I have the pictures. Also, these skylights could not be covered. In a hotel room, I do at least expect to be able to darken the space. But we endured the bright, flooding light of the safety lights all night long.”

• Responsive Staff - knowledgeable with directions for getting around DC.
• Price of restaurant / bar / wireless internet / parking higher than expected.

“Not good for walking traveler. Access excellent via cab and/or shuttle. Excellent shuttle service. Small bathroom dressing / closet area. Excellent bedding, quiet location, very convenient to Metro & shopping. Service was excellent. Price of parking, food, drink, internet was greater than experienced in similar hotels.”

• It was a great place!
• The complimentary shuttle came 30 minutes late.

“We had a great time. The cleaning service was excellent. My only complaint, was that the shuttle was 30 minutes late, and it was freezing. We had guests meeting us at the hotel, and they had to wait for us. When we called the front desk asking about our friends, they said they hadn't seen them. Which would've been okay,
when we got there our friends at talked to the same woman and was sitting waiting for us right by the desk. They even had talked to her, and she had sent a message to our room from them. We really loved it, and if I could, I would go back today! Thank you!”

• It is close to the area that I wanted to visit.
• Saturday morning I was awakened at 06:45 by the the carpet layers in the room above. The $16.00 a night parking fee.

“The hotel was clean but not what I would expect of a major chain. I would have thought that a room below a room that was being renovated would not be used. The staff was friendly.”

• The bed was very comfortable. The room was large and clean.
• The location wasn't that good.

“Lovely interior. Very clean. Great, large room. Comfortable bed with nice linens and pillows. Had communication problems with the staff, but once they realized what exactly we were saying (some language barriers, but that's understandable in such an international city) they were very accommodating. Would stay there again if it were in a better location. Great for business travel. Close to a bus stop, but no good restaurants. The WiFi is expensive ($10/day) and so is parking ($16/day.).”

“The hotel was clean and nice enough. Three star must have been because of convention facilities. Too expensive to eat there. Hard to get around back to D.C. Confusing with car. OK if you were needing to go to the Pentagon. No restaurants in area.”

• Very clean, beautiful hotel, friendly staff, convenient shuttle to metro.
• The bar was very expensive!

“I would highly recommend this hotel. The shuttle to the Metro every half hour was convenient. The staff was helpful with directions. The bath tub drain was clogged and it was corrected immediately. Our room originally had one king size bed. We asked to change to two queens as we had our daughter along and they changed rooms and even apologized because the view wouldn't be as good. Great experience.”

• Great bed, cleanliness, tastefully decorated room, great sound insulation.
• Odd location in a depressed residential area. The hotel stuck out like a sore thumb, but still it was convenient.

• The neighborhood was questionable.

“We went to visit Arlington National Cemetery and visit D.C. The staff made this trip super easy. The transportation was seamless - and they had great recommendations. The bartender - Luca, was the best server we had in all of D.C. - and we ate in great restaurants.”

• Everything is new.
• Entrance.

“This hotel has a fresh and new appearance. Everything is new. Do not let the outside appearance fool you. They are in the final stage of construction. The inside is wonderfully decorated. I really enjoyed its downtown location. It was close to the Roseland Metro and less than a ten minute drive to Washington, DC.”

• Wheel chair lift in our building needed 2 people to operate.

“The wheel chair lift in our building needed 2 people to operate because the doors did not shut automatically or have inside handles. This made it impossible for me to leave my building without assistance. Other than that, the rooms were fine, the lobby, internet area, restaurant & staff were great. If they would put in a wheel chair ramp in place of that lift, everything would have been great.”

• The hotel offered a shuttle to metro/shopping center.
• The shower would not drain, the fire sprinkler leaked water, our room wasn't cleaned one day.

“The Arlington, VA Sheraton wasn't as nice as other Sheraton Hotels I have stayed in. The staff was friendly and the lobby was nice. However, our room was old. There were stains on the carpet, the chair was dirty, the fire sprinkler dripped water, and a terrible smell came from the bathroom sink. Our bath tub was slow to drain. You were ankle deep in water by the end of showering. I asked the front desk three time in one day if the could send someone to fix the shower. It was never fixed. Our room wasn't cleaned one day. We had to ask twice for maid service. We were compensated with free parking.”

• Friendliness of staff and location and view of room.
• Didn't mention complementary breakfast until last day had to find a breakfast place everyday and pay for it could have save 40 dollars a day.

“As I mention they could have mention to me at check in or any time during our stay about the complementary breakfast, it could have save time and money for our trip, could have add to the nice experience we had at the hotel.”

• Subway shuttle is 30 minutes apart. Could be a bit closer.

“We received nice complimentary services (parking and breakfast) from the hotel because the hotel was sold out on the first night we stayed and they had to put us to a different hotel. The overall experience was very nice.”

• We were turned away from the pool Sunday morning, poor TV remote.

“On the roof, where the covered pool was located, one had a beautiful view of Washington. The hotel had convenient parking below the hotel for guests.”

• Starbucks coffee and free tea, free shuttle.
• The environment inside and out, food prices too high at hotel, no restaurants, stores or shops.

“Do not have boss or family try to contact the desk for information about the hotel. no manager was available, no knowledgeable staff on the phones. Look out the window and feel threatened, or in a third world country. Once you're inside one would feel safe. I don't know if I can take these kind of chances with my health and money.”

• The hotel was friendly and the lobby area crisp and clean looking.
• The carpet and furniture needed replaced.

“Overall, the hotel was fine. The metro was only 5 minutes away via the provided shuttle bus-very convenient. We arrived late Saturday night, and there were unseemly elements taking place - not a good time to arrive. Also, the view from our hotel was great if we didn't look down - several blocks of tenement housing. Overall, a good stay for the price. Oh yeah, we had to pay $16.00 a day for parking, but that was fine. I would have liked to have seen an attendant for the underground parking though; it felt unsafe.”
