• Staff was friendly.
• Rooms a little run down-carpet stained.

“Staff was friendly, but seemed stressed- overworked because she had to run to help the customers. Rooms a little run down, but tolerable. Ice machines weren't working and one tread mill wasn't working.”

• The hall way smell bad because of smoking. Ice maker have no ice.

“We thought Holiday Inn is better than motel 8. It's worst than the cheapest motel out there. The coffee maker is a joke, the room is bad. This is the last time we will stay in with Holiday Inn Express. They mix non smoking and smoking together the same hall way. They did not fill the ice maker.”

• Staff was friendly. Location convenient.
• Noisy heater. Internet did not work. Slow draining sink.

“We got the feeling that we got the worst room in the house. Heater/air conditioner noisy enough to wake us from a deep sleep. Cabled internet did not work and it looked as if previous customers had tried to trace the cable. Bathroom sink drained very slowly. Finally, the room was as far away from the lobby as you can get.”

• Front desk service was excellent.
• The bar and restaurant looked and smelled so unappetizing.

“Unfortunately road works and developed in the area, detracted from the ambiance. The pool was not obviously available. It would be a benefit if some outside seating/picnic area were provided. The hotel is ideally positioned (when road/development is completed) for all local attractions.”

• The size of the room and the amenities were excellent.
• Finding that they do not provide any breakfast.

“The Holiday Inn at Painted Post, N.Y was a satisfactory place to spend a night. The room was spacious, clean, and adequately furnished. We did not try the restraint but there was a good restraint, the Jelly Bean, across the street from the Motel. I was not pleased to find that this Motel did not provide a breakfast facility.”

• Large room with double beds.
• Facility is too old, and a/c does not work perfectly.

“With this price range the hotel is okay. The facilities are too old, a/c does not work very well, and air quality in rooms is not good (with little uncomfortable smell). Finally, the hotel is not suitable for disable persons.”

• Tastefully decorated. Very clean with all the little extras. Quiet.
• There was nothing I didn't like. An indoor pool was the only thing I missed.

• Clean, Friendly, Nice rooms Quite, Pleasant stay.
• I could not find an elevator in the back and had to carry luggage upstairs.

“I would highly recommend this hotel. This hotel had no musty order, was very clean staff was so kind and the beds were comfortable and coffee was available in the room. Not so with the other hotel.”

• Clean rooms, pleasant and helpful staff.
• 15 minutes on phone with manager to find room at 2:00am.

“Enjoyed it. Was a mix up with my prepaid room because no rooms were available, but after 20 minutes, one was found. Trouble was I had driven 7 1/2 hours and it was 2:00 am and I was exhausted. Problem was fixed, but I was just tired and didn't want to wait.”

• It's close to Interstate 86, but not too close.
• Heater in room not that great, bathroom very small, pool is outdoors closed in winter.

“The hotel, for the most part, is ok for your basic place to sleep for the night. One problem we had was being cold part of the night because the heater wasn't that great. If you turn it up too high, it continues to blow air, but the heating element shuts off. We had to turn it down to get the heat to come back on. There was a current HBO brochure on the nightstand, but yet when we turned on HBO, it was a blank channel. Bathroom was very small, the door nearly hits the toilet when you open it but adequate considering we were only there for one night.”
