“I found this hotel comfortable (but only verging on luxury because the mattresses were pillowed). Room, bath & bed were extremely clean. TV remote and channel selection very cumbersome. No food service. Neither exercise facilities nor available pool.” Apr 23, 2008 by
Leo from Cincinnati, OH
“I would consider this more of a Condotel, Condo hotel, than a traditional hotel. I was surprised to find they share the parking with Condo Residents and the businesses in the building. Had I known that the hotel shares facilities with the condo building, I wouldn't have been so surprised. Other than that, everything is great at the hotel. Very clean, new everything and friendly and helpful staff. Extremely easy access to subway and buses.” Apr 23, 2008 by
Nancy from North Haven, CT
“Everything was fine, except for some noisy guests.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Azhar from Stamford, CT
“Hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood. Quite close to DC, easy accessible by highways. Couple of things I did not like is, about the charges for parking for hotel guests, its 17$ per day. This was specifically for me, I was looking for something to warm my food, surprising the hotel does not have a microwave at all.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Melinda from Raleigh, NC
“Overall I had a good experience but I expected a great experience.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Doreen from New Kensington, PA
“Just not good for kids and the staff was initially argumentative, parking is too expensive. I would not recommend the hotel nor would I stay again.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Clasina from Merry Hill, NC
“Good location, indoor parking with elevator directly into the hotel, friendly and fast service, excellent breakfast buffet, quiet.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Cheryl from Grove City, OH
“We were upgraded to a suite, no additional charge. Room very large, very clean.” Apr 6, 2008 by
Melissa from Virginia Beach, VA
“Overall it was a nice hotel, perfect location for us as we could walk to Kettler Ice rink. Next to mall and other restaurants, however the hotel didn't offer that information to us when we checked in so we ate at their restaurant and it was overpriced and the food wasn't that great. The hallways were filled with drunk people when we went back to our room that evening and we had to tell the front desk. Some where half dressed. Made for an interesting conversation with my two children in tow.” Apr 4, 2008 by
Yan from Brooklyn, NY
“Overall the service is satisfied. I will choose and recommend to my friends.” Apr 3, 2008 by
Gerard from Durham, NC
“I liked the customer service, clean rooms, attentive staff and overall treatment!” Apr 2, 2008 by
Ryan from Boynton Beach, FL
“I ran into some issues with this hotel. Parking was terrible, they share a parking garage on site that closes at midnight, so if you arrive any night after midnight, you must park in the street, and its difficult to find a space. I was unable to use the garage due to business timing, and yet I was charged a parking fee per night. The hotel lobby entrance is in a mini mall, which is used as a sleeping area by many homeless people, not a great feeling upon entering. I addressed my issues with the hotel upon checkout, they were very polite and removed all incidental charges for me, including parking and internet, as an effort to make things right.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Charles from Spring Valley, CA
“We enjoyed our stay in the Hilton Hotel but would have liked then to have complimentary breakfast liked Hampton Inn's do.” Mar 28, 2008 by
John from Salem, VA
“Very courteous and knowledgeable staff, Always wanting to meet our every need. The rooms were really comfortable and the atmosphere of the room was inviting each day. A Fantastic trip in large part because of the people at this hotel and the convenience of the location. Very neat and clean, nicely decorated and a wonderful place to stay. Kudos to the staff in the breakfast service who are on the 7th floor. The best stay in a hotel we have had in years. My compliments to the management and staff for their attentiveness to details and their customers.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Alaina from Lititz, PA
“While the price of a room at the Hilton is in keeping with the median price for the area, the hotel itself was over priced. The 4 star rating is undeserved. The staff was friendly and accommodating but the rooms are sub-standard. I expect better from a Hilton.” Mar 20, 2008 by
Larry from Washington, DC
“Still was a blessing to get out to a new atmosphere. It was on the positive side more than the negative. My fiancé loved it ,so that all that matters really, right?” Mar 6, 2008 by
Clarence from Hampton, VA
“The hotel is located in a great area; the pictures that they show are not the same as the size of the room or living space. But over-all it was a decent trip. Dan & Brads really great place to eat and dine.” Jan 5, 2008 by
Dawit from Nutley, NJ
“They have noisy, sometimes, useless AC, lousy or unskilled employee, poor services. The rooms are not as clean as 2-star hotels. This hotel (at Arlington VA location), for example, has toilet and bath tub with stains that you don't see in any hotel or even Motel. The AC/Heater: we had to turn it off because it was too loud.” Jan 4, 2008 by
Joe from Tampa, FL
“I thought that the Hilton was a very classy hotel; however it lacked some important amenities and features that are important to travelers. While noting that the premises were spotless, I found that the revolving door entrance, antique style furniture, and elegant elevators made for a great balance of a classic archaic yet contemporary home feel. The staff was available to assist with every problem that arose and were happy to do such. However, during my stay, I continually felt like I was at risk of falling for a tourist trap as everything in the hotel was ridiculously overpriced. I made sure to call the front desk before brewing up my coffee since there was a liter of water with a big $5 sticker sitting next to the percolator. They assured me that the coffee was complimentary, but the water was not.” Jan 1, 2008 by
Dave from Palmyra, VA
“This is a great property that looks modern and clean. It adjoins a shopping complex/mall; metro rail station is located in the building complex, Movie Plax across the street, several dining locations all around, and a great I-hop right across the street from the hotel entrance. Parking under the hotel. Pleasant staff and visible security.” Dec 13, 2007 by
Mary from Lansdale, PA
“This hotel is very well situated at the metro in Ballston which makes for getting around most of dc very easy! It is also close to restaurants & shopping.” Nov 26, 2007 by
Meera from Commerce Township, MI
“Decent hotel however you have to pay to park.” Nov 26, 2007 by
Lisa from Johns Island, SC
“If you're traveling as a tourist, the location is great because of the proximity to the Metro. We arrived at DCA, jumped on the Metro at the airport, made one transfer at, and arrived at the front door of the hotel in 25 minutes. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. A member of the maintenance staff overheard us wondering if the lobby had a map, and he walked with us to the desk and got a staff member to get us what we needed. Above and beyond his duties! The room was clean and comfortable. In fact, my husband wants to find out where they buy their pillows.” Nov 15, 2007 by
Nancy from Raleigh, NC
“When submitting price I did anticipate a $17 parking fee on top of the rate. Motel was comfortable & convenient to metro.” Nov 14, 2007 by
Helen from Webster, NY
“There is a mixture of friendliness and curtness at the front desk. The staff should be informed that customer service is very important and that no matter how busy they are, polite answers should always be given.” Nov 14, 2007 by
Ray from Pittsburgh, PA
“The staff was excellent for providing info for traveling into Washington DC.” Nov 9, 2007 by
Shirley from Allentown, PA
“It was an okay hotel. The room needed attention at a few places. The TV needed repair. There was a obvious leak in the ceiling that hadn't been repainted. Compared to the Marriott we were at last spring, this hotel needed some repairs and wasn't as nice. It was livable, but just okay. The service, restaurants, cleanliness was fine. The maid never came in to clean up and make the beds. We had to call for fresh towels.” Nov 9, 2007 by
Larry from Michigan City, IN
“Well kept building in convenient area metro, restaurants and mall are steps away. Room was clean, had updated linens and upgrades such as granite. Bathroom layout was a little weird need to tango to get around toilet to close door or take shower but nothing unusual for most hotels even at this level. Would gladly stay there again.” Oct 30, 2007 by
Dwight from Glen Allen, VA
“I loved it, it was warm, nice colors and bedding, furnishings. Close to the center of the Arlington Ballston commons area and Interstates.” Oct 24, 2007 by
William from Houston, TX
“Very nice hotel and they are working on ac, so it should be fine when they get it finished. Staff was very helpful and brought us the fan we requested.” Oct 23, 2007 by
Brandee from Sacramento, CA
“The location of this hotel is good and bad. I had directions on how to get there, but was unable to find the hotel based on these, so I called the front desk and instead of giving me proper directions, they directed me to head back into dc, the exact opposite direction! However, being located by a train station made it easy to use the subway for going into dc once I was at the hotel. The elevators and hallways were unbelievable hot and stuffy, but the rooms were comfortable. Parking is very expensive in their garage. The hotel is linked to the mall by a skyway, which was nice. A nice selection of restaurants is all within walking distance. Once I was able to avoid the staff, it was a pleasant stay. I say if you are accustomed to traveling and doing for yourself, this is a good hotel. However, if you need a lot of assistance, look elsewhere!” Oct 22, 2007 by
Blake from Wooster, OH
“With the metro station in the basement everywhere is completely accessible. The rooms are cozy and large. The housekeeping is wonderful as well as all the employees. Even the maintenance man for the elevator was friendly and helpful. The parking garage is next door so that was even very handy, just a little pricey. All in all, I think this is a great place to stay while visiting or doing business in the Arlington Washington d.c. Area.” Oct 18, 2007 by
Katherine from Bridgeport, CT
“Nothing to complain about. Hotel was great! Great price. Great service and great comfort level.” Oct 3, 2007 by
Lonzo from Alexandria, VA
“This was a great hotel. The room exceeded my expectations. The only downfall is that for the three days I was there, they only had one elevator working. Saturday night they had a wedding going on, which made it a nightmare trying to catch the elevator. But besides that, I have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. I will definitely stay there again.” Sep 25, 2007 by
Ann from Edison, NJ
“Clean, close to subway, nice big rooms, modern.” Sep 19, 2007 by
Doug from Greensboro, NC
“Very nice staff, clean rooms, nice location.” Sep 19, 2007 by
Tim from Alexandria, VA
“Nice hotel for the price.” Sep 13, 2007 by
K from Virginia Beach, VA
“I expected great things from the Hilton but woke up sweating at 6am and could not get back to sleep. The A/C in our room was broken and the front desk rep said we were not the only ones, no fans were available. It was 85 degrees outside, and so of course it was even hotter in our room; the equivalent of staying in a sauna. The next day we had to take cold showers and immediately began to sweat after the shower because the room was so hot. The front desk was unsympathetic. They did wave or $35 parking charge, but with the inconvenience, I would have preferred to stay at a 2 star hotel with a functioning A/C and pay for parking. A/C is not optional when its that warm outside. I was extremely disappointed with my stay.” Sep 5, 2007 by
Cathy from Readington, NJ
“Great location, very comfortable, clean room and fabulous bed. Nice and quiet, friendly, courteous and efficient staff.” Jul 31, 2007 by
Zola from Broadway, VA
“The room was very nice, but our stay so brief that we did not even look around. The bad water was a big negative. I would not want to stay there again if this is normal.” May 3, 2007 by
Brenda from Vinton, VA
“The rooms were excellent, very spacious and attractive. No exercise area or pool. The hotel provided a discount to a close-by health club. The staff was not terribly friendly. The parking garage was built for all sub-compact cars, even the driveway of the garage was cut to short to turn through. If I stayed there again I'd park elsewhere or rent a compact car for the trip.” May 2, 2007 by
Naomi from Virginia Beach, VA
“The staff was wonderful and the Metro is right outside the hotel to make getting around easy.” May 2, 2007 by
Jon from Bronx, NY
“Very nice clean rooms and very close to Ballston metro. But a little far from downtown DC or even downtown Arlington.” Apr 4, 2007 by
Juliana from San Marcos, CA
“This room was perfect for what we needed. We stayed one night with two teenagers, and it was easy access to the Reagan airport. We took an all day tour of WA DC, and the Tour bus stopped and picked us up. My favorite part of the stay was the lemon/cucumber ice water, fresh apples, and helpful staff that that welcomed us to the hotel. I would stay again without a second thought!” Jan 28, 2007 by
Yulia from Toronto, ON CA
“Great room sizes, nice service, but walls very thin and you can hear all that's happening in the room next door (TV programs they watch, etc.). Same effect with activities in the corridor. I woke up many times when the door was shut or open across my room. They have to do something about soundproof walls. I was staying over Christmas so there weren¿t that many people, but can't imagine staying during busy times. Too bad - it's a very nice hotel, and a great location.” Jan 6, 2007 by
Jackie from Warren, CT
“This was a beautiful hotel - very clean very friendly very comfortable - there is no pool or exercise room and the parking cost - but the hotel experience was wonderful!” Jan 3, 2007 by
Terri from Oak Ridge, TN
“This hotel is located in a very pleasant neighborhood, variety of restaurants located on each side of the hotel, metro right outside the entrance. The staff was professional and the room was very clean, recently remodeled. The bed and pillows were 4 star qualities. I have stayed in VA, MD and dc hotels, and consider this location most satisfactory, will stay there again.” Jan 2, 2007 by
Hilton from Markham, ON CA
“Certainly deserving of the three star upscale rating. The staff treats you like you are four star customers.” Jan 2, 2007 by
Thavee from Hampton, VA
“Nice hotel for the price.” Jan 2, 2007 by
Ruth from Madison Heights, MI
“This hotel can be a 5 star hotel. It's very nice!” Hotel Representatives:
