• I was greeted with a warm smile from both front desk attendants who answered all my questions.
• There was absolutely nothing that I did not like at this hotel.

• Wonderful staff, great location, comfortable rooms.
• Shower heads were much too low.

“Was able to drive up and register. Had ample parking. Very clean lobby and public restrooms. Staff was very courteous and helpful. They went the extra mile for us. Location was just a short drive from D.C. and a short walk to the Metro.”

• Metro & Shopping mall 2 blocks away.

“10 Minutes Metro ride for less than $3.00 & free parking. Have breakfast out, couldn't be any worse that the buffet. No fan speed on HV/AC can be loud during the night. I would go back if needed to return to the area.”

• The rooms were large and attractive, and was in a safe area and close to public trans.
• Bathroom needed an exhaust fan.

• Nice hotel with clean/decent rooms, good service, and reasonably close access to the Metro.
• Not many restaurants or activities within short walking distance - especially during weekend.

“Nice, clean, well run hotel, with friendly and accommodating staff. Room was spacious, well kept and at the level expected for the star rating. While located within 3 blocks of the metro, during the weekend there were few restaurants/activities nearby - requiring a decent walk/metro trek. Bonus: Next to nice running trail.”

• Carpet was soft and clean (not sticky), bathroom was bright and big enough for 2 to use simultaneously.
• Internet connection did not work continuously, even though we were plugged in with their cable. It disconnected spontaneously & wouldn't reconnect.

“Biggest plus: A short, 2-block walk to the Ballston Metro station. The walk is direct, on one straight and level street (very convenient with heavy rolling luggage). Internet access is not dependable - try asking at check-in how to make sure that the connection doesn't spontaneously disconnect on you. The room itself was clean and new - big, bright bathroom, adjustable quiet air conditioning, and soft carpets (read: not sticky).”

• Location. Staff. Cleanliness. Free wired internet. Late checkout granted with no fee.
• No complaints.

“Convenient to Metro rail & bus system so easy access to all DC area attractions, airports, restaurants and shopping. Safe area. Some shopping and restaurants in walking distance as well. Great value. No rental car necessary to see it all on our four-day sightseeing trip. There are better locations, but this one was fine for the price.”

“This is a solid two star hotel based on cleanliness and in-room amenities. It is not a three star hotel. The room furnishings and decoration are mid-level quality. The common areas are small and suitable for a traveler who is mainly interested in getting to the room. Staffed like you would expect from a road side Holiday Inn, no special services, no food available late, etc.”

• It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The subway stop is only a 5 min walk away so very convenient.
• Cant think of any.

“It's located in an area where there is a cluster of hotels and restaurants, so you don't need to worry about meals. Also, subway is a short walking distance, so very convenient. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, and is located close to access to major highways. Would definitely stay there again on future visits.”

• The shower was great, free internet and parking. Close to metro and shopping.
• Breakfast was a bit pricey, but there was a McDonald's close by.

“I was very pleased with our stay at the Holiday Inn in Arlington. Parking and internet service were free (hard to beat). The metro station was less than 10 minute walk from the room. We ended up driving a little down Arlington Blvd and found plenty of great food options (including a Whole Foods and Harris Teeter). The shopping mall across the street felt a little deserted, but had plenty of nice shops. The only bad thing is that this is Ballston Stop, south of Roslyn and takes about 25 minutes to get to the Smithsonian stop, but for the price, it is hard to beat.”

• Rooms were spacious and it the vanity is separate from the bathroom.
• Did not enjoy our meal in the dining room. It was just average.

“I thought the price I paid for my stay at Sheraton National was great!! The rooms were spacious and clean. The front desk service was friendly and accommodating. Although we paid $16.00 a day for parking, they did provide free and prompt shuttle service to the nearest Metro station. The evening meal in the dining room was fair, not great. It was, however, nicely decorated with nostalgic photographs of former U.S. presidents. The only true disappointment was that we never received the extra towels we requested from housekeeping.”

“Excellent price for a great location. They have a restaurant, well stocked gift shop [toiletries you could not carry on the plane and selection of food snacks like noodle soup in a cup], large size room, quiet property [business office behind, no major traffic noise]. They will drive you in the hotel mini-bus to a large selection of chain restaurants, and an even larger selection of restaurants could be reached by cab. Lobby side wing is under reconstruction, but there was no activity at night, and the rest of the property was not affected. Airport shuttle could find the place easily.”

“The holiday inn felt dirty and old. The room had hair in the bathroom (on the vanity, in the sink, and on the floor). I was too tired after a long day of meetings & travel to complain and change rooms. It was a very big disappointment. I'm sorry to say, but the holiday inn was not upscale in any sense of the word. Also, I feel as though I overpaid. ”

• When I called 2 weeks in advance to see if we could get a non-smoking room, the woman at the hotel was very rude and said that I had a smoking room.

• Clean easily accessibility to buses trams.
• Sufficient towels not provided dirty glasses left in room. Could not get a non smoking room.

“The hotel was under renovation. The room was OK but seemed more like a 2 star room. The room originally was provided with four sets of towels on the first day with only three sets provided the next two days. Unable to get a non smoking room. The staff was helpful and courteous. The check in process was good.”

• I liked that there were a lot of different restaurants around the hotel.
• The fact that it was a walk from the metro to the hotel.

“This hotel is a very nice. However, it is three blocks from the hotel to the metro. While, there is a shuttle I would have liked something closer to the metro. Also, I would have liked a non-smoking room but fabreeze and a glad air freshener dome take care of the smell for the most part.”
