• I did not like anything. It was the worst hotel.
• The service was bad. Rooms were not comfortable.

• It is an economy hotel, but I knew that when I booked.

• I liked how they were able to check me in even at 11 pm.
• The direction to the hotel was not clear. It would help to have some road signs or displays pointing to the hotel.

• Friendly staff.
• Side road leading to hotel not easily found.

“Basic room to stay in, no frills. No food except vending machines. $1.75 for can of soda pop or juice. Bring your own and use the cooking facilities. Just across the front parking lot is a small cemetery containing graves of those who died mostly in the 1940's. It is a nice area to walk around in and read the gravestones if you are into that. There is a road behind the Verizon store and in front of the cemetery and it is kind of dark if you go at night. A few young men approached me from the cemetery area but did not bother me. Still, I suggest going in the day or driving because it isn't fun walking at night! Nice people working at this place.”

• Extended stay America offered me everything I wanted to make my trip enjoyable. Great accommodation, staff, location. Internet.
• Parent. Does not provide funding for night staff. Spanish speaking laundress doubles for night staff duties.

• It is close to dc and in the middle of northern VA.
• Rude and disrespectful customer service and dirty.

“Staff was disrespectful and not helpful. Access key to room did not work. Bathroom was dirty (roaches in the tub). Kitchen was dirty, faucet was broken.”

• Close to highway.
• Noise.

“I was in room #311 and directly below us in room # 211 the people played music extremely loud. My bed and the walls in our room was thumping and bumping. They played this music until after 2 a.m.”

• Service wasn't that good.

“There was no concierge during night when I checked in. I got another room. However, there were no pillows on the bed. When I went to ask for those, the lady at the help desk did not have any with her.”

• Suite style rooms.
• Location was too far from public transportation, room received had smoking smell.

“The hotel itself is in a poor location too far from public transportation and not truly in the town of Alexandria, which is misleading. I also received a non-smoking room with a smoking smell, when I mentioned this to the clerk upon check in she could not offer me anything else except a handicapped room. I suffered with the smoking smell but it was in the sheets and towels, which lead to a horrible experience. Also, due to the distance to public transportation I was forced to rent a car, which killed any cost savings this hotel had. I had a better night at red roof inns that I have stayed at than this hotel!”

• Near to DCA (Reagan) airport and just about 10 miles from the National mall.
• No house keeping if less than 5 nights of stay.

• Very good location.
• Requested a non-smoking room; however, everything smelled like cigarette smoke.

• Has all the amenities advertised plus more. Great location, near everything in Alexandria.
• Could have had better directions to the hotel.

“There was a complete kitchenette with all the appliances, cookware and dish ware necessary. There was even a toaster. Plenty of towels and toiletries. We will definitely stay there again.”

• Sarah at the front desk was extremely courteous & helpful.
• No daily maid service.

“Rooms are very utilitarian. The combination of the Prego floors in the kitchen and bathroom with the carpet in the sleeping area makes for a very sterile feel to the room. Windows that can be open and closed was a nice feature that allowed the spring air in to freshen up the room.”

• Shopping center is next door.

“Linen is changed once that is after you stay 7 days or more. Uses real cheap soap very rough. Fixtures are very basic and cheap mattress is very soft and the carpet is like office quality real thin. No nothing extras no DSL hook-up newspaper no nothing. Think Motel 6 and this is similar Poor communication e-mails were never returned. Only good part is that it is on a side street behind a shopping center and is quiet. No pools, exercise room or nothing. Limited TV selection as well. Only motel that has limited office hours of 7-11 PM, so if you need anything at other time out of luck.”

• Nothing, this hotel is worthless and no frills.
• Not soundproofed, no amenities.

“Does not change linens unless you stay 7 days or longer. Does not provide any hairdryers no newspapers dsl or business centers or pools etc. Linens and towels etc are very low grade as well. Rooms was not very clean. Stay elsewhere. Also office hours are from 7 am to 11 pm daily.”

“My problem is that I had no choice in selecting a convenient location. I had no transportation and this was located in a very remote location. Had to take a bus and train to get to Downtown DC. Did not know DC well enough to select a location.”
