• Comfy beds, nice people working, and good location.
• Nothing!

“The people working here were marvelous! Our grandchildren liked the pool and we all liked the free breakfast! We traveled to Lancaster to the Sight & Sound Theater one day and it wasn't too bad of a drive. Our grandchildren wanted to sleep in our room and fought over who got to sleep on the cot so the cots were even comfortable! We will stay here again as we made friends with the front desk people as well as the nice breakfast ladies.”

• Smoking rooms which could not be changed.

“We had a very pleasant stay at the Hampton Inn, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. We enjoyed our stay because the staff was very friendly. Our rooms were great. How could anyone top a hot and cold breakfast. This was a very nice hotel with all the amenities anyone could ask for.”

• Wonderful breakfast with cordial employees.
• Really not sufficient room for the TWO comfortable chairs in room. Smaller desk or desk chair would be better.

• Good value, convenient location, comfortable room.
• The room carpet was dirty.

“When I went to the desk to check in, I gave my name to the clerk. He processed the paperwork and handed a passcard to the room without saying a word. Not a welcome, not enjoy your stay nothing. Not a good first impression. The room was fine. The bed was very comfortable. The carpet had spills on it that looked like they could have been easily cleaned, but weren't.”

• Room a bit crowded. Hardly room for desk chair -- up against one of the beds.

• Key card kept having to be reprogrammed?

“Although in a busy area, with high truck traffic, this place was very quiet. The breakfast was great, I met a couple who said they always stay here on their way to Florida. Staff was friendly, would stay again.”

• A bit out of the way for my personal needs.

“This hotel was far better than the next one I stayed at, which was rated 3 stars. Many more amenities and a much friendlier, more helpful staff. Great accommodations at a great price.”

• The hotel should provide recycle bins to promote recycling.

“They provided everything that I needed - wireless web service in room was great. Bedding and pillows are soft and nice. Overall, wonderful experience for the price I was able to get. I bragged about this to all my friends!”

• Proximity to highway with heavy truck traffic - miles to good restaurants.

“Good comfortable room, efficient staff, adequate continental breakfast. Everything clean and like new. Downside is heavy local traffic at major highway interchange, and distance to good restaurants.”

“While the hotel and staff was great, the hotel signage was horrible-got pushed onto PA Tpke and had to go 50miles out of my way (due to no exits) to get back to Rt 11 to the hotel. Entrance to get to hotel is not labeled well and hard to see due to large”

• We noted that we were traveling with two young children and called to confirm, yet our family of four ended up with one king bed.

• The proximity to exit 226 off of 76e.

“I arrived close to midnight with a 2yr old and the lot was well lit. The clerk gave us water and cookies upon check in & answered all my questions. The room was nice and clean and there was an adequate continental breakfast included. It is also about a 45 minute drive to Hershey park.”

• It is beyond the 2 star rating, easily a 3 star. Great, free, hot breakfast, comfortable beds, clean well decorated rooms.
• NOTHING.

“Best hotel I have encountered, why this rated a 2 star and not a 2 1/2 or 3 is beyond me. All amenities pool, gym, free full breakfast. Comfortable beds and clean well decorated rooms. Fridge and microwave in rooms. ”

• The overall appearance of the hotel.
• There was problems with the room key.

“Overall I was satisfied with the hotel. I liked the convenience to the carlisle snowfield. There was a small problem getting the room key to work, but the front desk helped me out. I liked the continental breakfast. They had a great selection of breakfast items to choose from.”

• The rooms were clean the bedding was great, the amenities all wonderful.
• The only thing was they have only one clothes dryer and it did not work very well.

“Excellent the power went out one night and this was still the best one we stayed at on our trip. They were very helpful with any request we had. Would go back again when in the area. Loved it.”

“I had many problems with this stay... so many that I am asking for a refund or a free stay at a different Hampton Inn. I feel it was THIS particular hotel, not the chain, that was problematic. I've stayed at other Hampton Inns with complete satisfaction. This one was not run well. They didn't follow up on problems and they are not responding to my concerns and complaints. I am VERY disappointed in this particular location's hotel.”

• It was located right off the exit, and was very clean and comfortable.
• The pool (though indoor) was VERY cold.

• In the process of being remodeled, so there is old furniture in the hallways.

• My room was very close to the front desk, (2 rooms away), and side by side with the laundry room, so it was very loud.

• Difficult access from heavily traveled street.

“This Hampton Inn is brand spanking new, very clean and polished looking. The room had all the amenities one expects in a good hotel room, including a hot breakfast to go with it. The only negative I think of is the difficult vehicle access from a street jammed with trucks. It would also be nice if there were a restaurant on the premises or within walking distance.”
