• The proximity to exit 226 off of 76e.

“I arrived close to midnight with a 2yr old and the lot was well lit. The clerk gave us water and cookies upon check in & answered all my questions. The room was nice and clean and there was an adequate continental breakfast included. It is also about a 45 minute drive to Hershey park.”

• It is beyond the 2 star rating, easily a 3 star. Great, free, hot breakfast, comfortable beds, clean well decorated rooms.
• NOTHING.

“Best hotel I have encountered, why this rated a 2 star and not a 2 1/2 or 3 is beyond me. All amenities pool, gym, free full breakfast. Comfortable beds and clean well decorated rooms. Fridge and microwave in rooms. ”

• The overall appearance of the hotel.
• There was problems with the room key.

“Overall I was satisfied with the hotel. I liked the convenience to the carlisle snowfield. There was a small problem getting the room key to work, but the front desk helped me out. I liked the continental breakfast. They had a great selection of breakfast items to choose from.”

• The rooms were clean the bedding was great, the amenities all wonderful.
• The only thing was they have only one clothes dryer and it did not work very well.

“Excellent the power went out one night and this was still the best one we stayed at on our trip. They were very helpful with any request we had. Would go back again when in the area. Loved it.”

“I had many problems with this stay... so many that I am asking for a refund or a free stay at a different Hampton Inn. I feel it was THIS particular hotel, not the chain, that was problematic. I've stayed at other Hampton Inns with complete satisfaction. This one was not run well. They didn't follow up on problems and they are not responding to my concerns and complaints. I am VERY disappointed in this particular location's hotel.”

• It was located right off the exit, and was very clean and comfortable.
• The pool (though indoor) was VERY cold.

• In the process of being remodeled, so there is old furniture in the hallways.

• My room was very close to the front desk, (2 rooms away), and side by side with the laundry room, so it was very loud.

• Difficult access from heavily traveled street.

“This Hampton Inn is brand spanking new, very clean and polished looking. The room had all the amenities one expects in a good hotel room, including a hot breakfast to go with it. The only negative I think of is the difficult vehicle access from a street jammed with trucks. It would also be nice if there were a restaurant on the premises or within walking distance.”

• There is nothing that I would change about this motel.

“I have stayed here many times. The desk clerk was especially helpful in looking up movies in the area for me. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone. It's a bit like "coming home" now to stay here.”

• This hotel was an impeccable value, they also allowed dogs at no extra charge.
• Honestly, I can't find one thing I didn't like about it.

“The Hampton Inn in Carlisle, PA has everything any business or leisure traveler could want. They have impeccably clean, spacious rooms, a free continental breakfast in the morning, free coffee and tea throughout the day, and they allow pets the stay in hotel rooms at no extra charge. There is also an indoor pool and Jacuzzi and an exercise room, and each room is equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. The amenities are great attention to detail, right down to quality toiletries in the room, a spacious shower, and quality coffee and tea! I can't imagine a hotel with a better value than this one.”

• This hotel was very clean, staff was very accommodating and the continental breakfast was wonderful.
• The shower did not have hot water at 8:30 am This is something you expect from a chain like Hampton Inn.

• The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Also, the room was great!
• There was nothing I was unhappy with about my stay.

“From the moment I walked into the warm and well-lit lobby and up to the front desk, I was immediately taken care of and greeted by name. I was the last person checking in that night by reservation, and as soon as I walked up, the woman behind the counter looked up and called me by name and said she had everything all ready for me. After a long evening of traveling, she made my welcome pleasant. I was also pleasantly greeted with a beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable room. My only regret is that I arrived so late and had to leave early the next morning!”

“In regards to #3 Front desk clerks did not even say Hello when I walked up to the desk.They looked at me like I had 2 heads. They only thing they said to me was, just a credit card for incidentals and your rooms around the corner. I did not expect this from Hampton Inn. Also, housekeeping staff was outside my room at 7:00am waiting to start there day, talking too much. With that said, I still would recommend this hotel. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Thank you.”

• It is spacious and has a lot of accomodations.
• It did not have a lot of the amenities common to Hampton Inns.

“Pros: good breakfast, spacious, clean, free internet. Cons: staff was rather indifferent, workout room was locked & inaccessible, no evening cookies and other amenities common in most Hampton Inns.”

• Heavy truck traffic just outside the hotel.

“Hampton Inn in Carlisle, PA is nice and very clean. They provide good breakfast in addition to the highspeed internet use that's available 24hrs by the lobby. Although we didn't get to do our regular run outside the hotel because of the heavy truck traffic, we enjoyed their pool/fitness room. Highly Recommended!”

• The personel were friendly and the rooms were neat and clean
• No real dislikes, just the fact there is construction occuring around the hotel at the Turnpike onramp. The on ramp is directly beside the hotel.

“Good place and great people, definately a great place to stay. There is also restaurants around it; a definate plus.”

• The breakfast was excellent; they provided a crib at no extra charge when my daughter and child joined us..

“This was the best experience we have had so far. Carlisle was a bit of a drive from York, but well worth the trip. We looked forward to going "home" to the Hamden Inn each night. Thanks.”

• Our friends in another room could hear conversation from another room about them from 4-6am

“Great hotel--we'd return in a heartbeat. It helps that we now know how to get there-we got lost with the confusing instructions given on- line. That is our only complaint! We especially appreciated service with a smile. This was from everyone, but especially from the breakfast lady. Thanks!”

• The showerhead was high which allowed me to stand under it comfortably.

“This is an outstanding hotel. I appreciated the ability to check for e-mail from the computer in the lobby area. The room was in excellent condition and included a microwave and refrigerator. The coffee selection at the breakfast bar was superior.”
