• Very clean hotel and room, very accommodating staff.

“I found this hotel to be perfect for our one night stay halfway between home and our destination. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and it was nice to have a full size fridge to store all of our cooler contents. The staff was very nice and I had no problems at all. Another member of our party had nothing but complaints about her room though I felt like the staff did everything they could to accommodate her requests.”

• Convenient location and the kitchen were great.
• The hotel does not have daily housekeeping. If your stay is a week or more, the housekeeping comes in once a week, I had to ask for clean towels.

“I don't like the idea of once week housekeeping. The room was cleaned on Wednesday, after we were there for five nights. I had to ask for clean towels at the desk and had to take them to my room. I think the room should have daily housekeeping if you are staying short term. Everything else was fine and I will use Extended Stay again.”

“Rooms look very old or dated, no breakfast area, or food available, should be a 1 star hotel/motel, very similar to a Days Inn or Motel although it was very clean, and had very good security, and a clean outdoor Pool, so I rated it a 2 star.”

• Guess the cheapest price could get.
• Dirty, dirty kitchen silverware, dishes, desk chair filthy, recliner chair gross stains, bedding questionable, so after all the bad press about.

“Bad press about hotel housekeeping wiping out glasses vs. sanitizing -- the silverware crusty, the dishes food on, etc. the bedding looked highly questionable and I was not happy and hope to God these places uses bleach on towels on sheets.”

“The first "non-smoking room" we assigned smelled of smoke. Changing to another room, the door lock did not work. We finally settled into a third one, only to discover after a while that the heating system made very loud noises every so often, waking us up during the night, and the toilet tended to gurgle. At this point we were tired of switching rooms. The staff is very friendly, and one just has to accept to fact that there is only periodic housekeeping, comes with the deal. But they need to do better on general maintenance. There is a $4.99 charge per stay for wireless internet, not that enticing to business travelers. On the plus side, there a minimally appointed kitchenette, and a 7-11 just down the stairs from the property, attached to a gas station. .”

“On check-in we were given a non-smoking room which smelled of smoke. The staff cheerfully then gave us keys to another room - but the lock was not functioning on that one. The third room smelled ok, the keys worked, but it turned out later that the heating unit made a fairly loud noise every so often, and the toilet gurgled. At that point we were tired of switching rooms.”

• Noisy, windows did not lock; sofa bed had food in it.

“Two female business travelers sharing same room. Hotel was somewhat isolated. Room was extremely noisy (thin walls). Toilet had to be turned off underneath by hand (too late to request another room). Windows did not lock and walk-type ducts led to the windows -- did not feel secure. Description said newly renovated rooms -- how sad! On the plus side, the staff was extremely professional.”

• Sounds from the other rooms waking us up.

“It reminded me of the 6o's 70's. After being freshly remodeled I was surprised that it felt so old fashioned. The beds were a little uncomfortable, but having a recliner and couch was very nice. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was pretty weak, compared to other hotels. Overall it was clean and a nice place to stay.”

“Overall, fine. First room I changed from because there was trash in the containers dishes and stove dirty. Bathroom was incomplete too. Due to a holiday weekend several rooms I tried to get in were also not cleaned due to holiday weekend.”

“This hotel is excellent in everything else, but a fatal flaw - sound proofing. You can hear people showering from next door, your can hear people walking upstairs etc.”

“This is a hotel that seems to cater to the economy traveler. Don't expect Courtyard Marriott experiences though you are invited to expect the same service. My room was filthy, the bathroom light did not work, neither did the Internet connect function. An overall poor experience and I will never use that facility again.”

“Staff not Native speakers hard to understand. His children were behind the counter and playing on the computer. Later when I returned from dinner the clerk had friends and children playing in lobby. The rooms were basic but clean. If this place is the deluxe place I would not stay at the regular extended stay.”

“Overall, this is a fine choice for people looking for an extended stay in the Gaithersburg Germantown area. The location is convenient to several offices, but if you are working south of Rockville, the location will be a problem. The staff was very good and the hotel provides most of the comforts of home.”
