• The lobby and overall allure of the hotel, it's a very attractive space.
• I couldn't change my rooms from a single to double beds, but found out later that they did have doubles available.

“I am very pleased with my stay. The room had great windows which let in a lot of light, but still sufficient drapes to cover it up if you want to sleep in. The room is clean and comfortable. The beds are especially nice. I just wish I had two doubles instead of one king to accommodate all my friends. However, despite that one thing, the hotel staff is excellent, friendly, and efficient.”

• Good location, close to decent restaurants & shopping.
• Horrible security.

“We stayed at the hotel one night. When we went to check out we realized our van had been broken into. The staff was extremely rude and unwilling to help us deal with the incident. The staff was a big disappointment. There are no security cameras or security personnel on the grounds. Although, the hotel rooms are nice, we would not recommend this hotel to friends and family.”

• Great rooms, great amenities, great location, great service!
• There was not anything that I did not like about my stay.

“I've stayed in a lot of hotels in my days, and with the exception of the hotels in Las Vegas, I think the Courtyard by Marriot in Rockville was one of the best. The staff is extremely helpful, the room was well appointed and comfortable, the common area courtyard was a welcome retreat and the breakfast buffet was very satisfying.”

“I'd highly recommend this hotel to a business traveler or a family passing through. There are lots of businesses and restaurants nearby, and the hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. Great experience.”

• Decent for price.
• The side door sidewalk is on hill, and makes it very hard to hold the luggage cart as it wants to run away! I do not understand why they would make us.

“The side door has a sidewalk that has a horrible hill and using the luggage cart, the cart wants to run away, it is very difficult holding onto the cart as it wants to roll down the hill when you have to hold the door open. It is the most ridiculous thing to have to deal with! Very exhausting and stressful when hauling in a full cart! Wish they would fix it so it is easier to get in and out of.”

• I lost my pair of Nike sox in the hotel room and their response was so poor.
• I lost my Nike sox in the hotel room. I am totally disappointed. Their customer service is really poor.

“I had a bad experience staying at the Courtyard Marriot at Research Blvd. I lost my pair of sneaker in my hotel room. It never happened to me before and I was so disappointed. We stayed there 2 nights: September 1st and 2nd. It was there till September 2nd morning before the housekeeping service and it was gone on September 3rd morning. I still can't believe it. Their action to this matter is so poor. Bad experience!”

• The room is quite clean.
• There are no refrigerator and microwave in the room.

“The hotel is too good for me. It has swimming pool and nice lobby, but it doesn't have free breakfast. It doesn't have microwave and refrigerator in the room. The staff wasn't willing to help me to find a room with such facilities at all; although they told me there are only three rooms have refrigerator. They claimed all the rooms are non-smoking and I found a weird smell when I opened the door. I don't like Courtyard, because it provides something that I don't need and fails to provide something that I definitely need.”

“As soon as we pulled up we had people holding doors and trying to help us in any way. That was great. We parked our own car, so there was an additional charge for that. They had room service, but it was pricey.”

• I'd prefer wireless internet in my room rather than Ethernet.

• Surely, unfriendly staff.

“Do not expect anything extra here. We requested blankets when the weather turned cold and were told that they did not have any. A manager got some for us on our last night. The pool is open only from 5pm to 10pm, a real disappointment for my family. Breakfast was advertised as included with the room rate, but was extra. It cost $10 per person. We ate elsewhere. There are better choices in the Rockville area. I would not recommend this hotel unless you are mandated to stay there. Property is well kept with newly renovated rooms and common areas. Was locked out in the courtyard in 30 degree weather because a staff member had forgotten to unlock the doors. Our key cards mysteriously became inoperable several times a day and we were scolded by the front desk staff to "take better care of them."”

“A convenient motel for people with business in north Rockville, located in middle of industrial parks. Nice bedroom, in the new style, with pillow top, etc., pleasantly decorated. I had no cell phone signal in the room and at breakfast found all but the Kellogg¿s raisin bran sub par. No star bucks or other coffee place nearby. Friendly staff--desk clerk recognized my last Name from when my son had stayed there over a year ago.”

• The pool and whirlpool were excellent and warm - the business center was helpful to have.
• There should have been a shelf in the bathroom for personal belongings.

“Nicely appointed room, very comfortable bed, wonderful pool and whirlpool attended by a lifeguard during all open hours - hours very limited - only evenings during weekdays. Layout difficult - always walking down long corridors and around corners to get places. Staff generally helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.”

• Had trouble with internet access. Supposedly a known issue with Dell comp running Windows XP. Marriott should fix the problem.

“Convenient location. OK staff. Room design structure and layout somewhat unappealing. Got charged wireless access fee because the in room free internet cable access wouldn't work properly with my Dell laptop running XP. This is a known issue although I didn't find it out till after using the wireless service. Otherwise OK. Would still select it if needed next time around.”
