• Location close to main highway arteries.
• Was charged $10 extra for checkout after 12 pm.

“Room is very nice and clean. Location is close to main arteries for traveling into DC or elsewhere. Good hotel if you just need a pillow to lay your head.”

• Close to downtown Rockville, the hotel was well maintained both inside and out.
• I'd prefer wireless internet in my room rather than Ethernet.

• Front desk staff was extremely accommodating & friendly.
• Very limited room service menu.

“Employees were extremely helpful with suggestions for eating and entertainment. They were patient with all my requests for directions. The cleaning staff were quite efficient and non-intrusive It was a very positive experience.”

• Easy access from interstate.
• Odd elevator placement.

“As expected quality for a courtyard facility. The map quest directions are misleading as it's much easier to reach via the shady grove exit. Many fine restaurants and excellent shopping close by and both Bethesda and Washington are within an easy metro ride.”

• Clean, efficient, friendly, quiet.
• No shuttle service like some Courtyards - to the Metro station, for example.

“Excellent value for the money. Good business traveler's hotel. Would be nice if they had a shuttle service to nearby places like the Metro station and nearby government buildings.”

• Location. Nice room. Comfortable bed.
• Surely, unfriendly staff.

“Do not expect anything extra here. We requested blankets when the weather turned cold and were told that they did not have any. A manager got some for us on our last night. The pool is open only from 5pm to 10pm, a real disappointment for my family. Breakfast was advertised as included with the room rate, but was extra. It cost $10 per person. We ate elsewhere. There are better choices in the Rockville area. I would not recommend this hotel unless you are mandated to stay there. Property is well kept with newly renovated rooms and common areas. Was locked out in the courtyard in 30 degree weather because a staff member had forgotten to unlock the doors. Our key cards mysteriously became inoperable several times a day and we were scolded by the front desk staff to "take better care of them."”

• No cell phone signal in room; lousy breakfast.

“A convenient motel for people with business in north Rockville, located in middle of industrial parks. Nice bedroom, in the new style, with pillow top, etc., pleasantly decorated. I had no cell phone signal in the room and at breakfast found all but the Kellogg¿s raisin bran sub par. No star bucks or other coffee place nearby. Friendly staff--desk clerk recognized my last Name from when my son had stayed there over a year ago.”

• The pool and whirlpool were excellent and warm - the business center was helpful to have.
• There should have been a shelf in the bathroom for personal belongings.

“Nicely appointed room, very comfortable bed, wonderful pool and whirlpool attended by a lifeguard during all open hours - hours very limited - only evenings during weekdays. Layout difficult - always walking down long corridors and around corners to get places. Staff generally helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.”

• The staff was the best and the hotel was clean and smooth.
• Too many kids in pool and buffet breakfast was a bit pricey.

“We had a great stay at the Courtyard in Rockville Md. The staff was great and the hotel had everything a business traveler would need. The breakfast was a bit much but overall I would give it a 10. I will stay there next time I'm back there.”

• Great location. Close to restaurants, shopping etc.
• Had trouble with internet access. Supposedly a known issue with Dell comp running Windows XP. Marriott should fix the problem.

“Convenient location. OK staff. Room design structure and layout somewhat unappealing. Got charged wireless access fee because the in room free internet cable access wouldn't work properly with my Dell laptop running XP. This is a known issue although I didn't find it out till after using the wireless service. Otherwise OK. Would still select it if needed next time around.”

• The breakfat buffet and the CLEAN smell in the room. Spacious and offered wirelss internet.
• Only 1 elevator far from our room and no offer of assistance

• They have a swimming pool attendant/lifeguard who likes to quit early

“Up to Marriott's usual high standards. Our clean, spacious room met our expectations for a business-class property. Bed was especially comfortable. Snack bar was decently stocked and reasonably priced.”
