“The location was in the perfect setting. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was average. The room was nicer than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised by having the use of a fully equipped laundry with washer and dryer.” Jan 28, 2008 by
Mel from Partlow, VA
“Overall great hotel with the exception of the room service mistakes and not having what was on the menu. I still would stay there again.” Jan 13, 2008 by
Tadd from Bixby, OK
“The hotel itself is a very nice property, obviously catering almost exclusively to business travelers. It is well appointed, despite the somewhat embarrassing and antiquated . This hotel was undergoing some light renovations, but were hardly noticeable. Restaurant, for some reason, had gravy without biscuits, but was otherwise a standard Marriott buffet. Most annoying was that the hotel placed people so close to one another despite having loads of empty rooms. Far too few people get a good night's sleep when this is the case. Parking is free, but limited out front, and the garage is not exactly nearby. You'll want to pull the car around, as it's a long cold walk in winter.” Jan 12, 2008 by
Lisa from Virginia Beach, VA
“For a 3-star hotel, this hotel does lack some basics. They are currently under construction which led the parking to be limited. I had to park in the garage which entailed walking around the building courtyard with basically no lighting. It is not a good set up for a single woman especially knowing there was an assailant in the area who had attacked someone in the same town the night prior. They could at least have a security guard and more lights. As far as my room, it had an odor of mold. I think for an upscale hotel that they should look into a better filtration system so that their guests do not need to be exposed to this noxious odor.” Jan 7, 2008 by
Henry from Auburn, AL
“In general the hotel rooms are very comfortable and as expected, however the menu, selection and quality of the food was marginal. They are in the process of changing their menu according to signs, so this may be only a transition issue.” Nov 11, 2007 by
Rich from Warren, PA
“Beautiful entranceway and common rooms, tucked in a parkland setting near the Capital Beltway. Guest rooms are spacious and well maintained. Bedding is comfortable. Parking is difficult; garage is confusing and leaves you a long way from the guest room elevators. Forget the bar/restaurant. Staffs are way too self-absorbed and have probably never heard of "customer service". There are no alternatives within walking distance.” Oct 31, 2007 by
Art from Humble, TX
“Enjoyed the hotel but the traffic was terrible due to where I had to commute to. It was only 10 miles but took 45+ minutes.” Oct 31, 2007 by
Suzanne from Manassas, VA
“In all I feel this was a great value! The room was comfortable and clean. The only thing was that it was a little bit hard to find because it is sort of hidden. On the other hand it was very quiet and peaceful, there no traffic noise etc.” Sep 4, 2007 by
Mike from Hackensack, NJ
“Recommended highly. Beautiful accommodations and grounds and very reasonably priced.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Rick from Euclid, OH
“We loved it!” Aug 21, 2007 by

“Most likely to consider again for future stay.” Aug 19, 2007 by

“I would recommend this hotel. I had a pleasant stay.” Aug 18, 2007 by
Robin from Murrieta, CA
“This hotel is located in a park like setting with beautiful trees all around. The beds are extra comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our stay here was excellent and we would definitely stay here again in the future.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Christi from Joplin, MO
“The hotel was excellent. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was great, close to the Metro station. The room service breakfast was wonderful. Great price for a great hotel!” Aug 16, 2007 by
Laura from Greenville, DE
“All praise for this Marriott property. This is a wonderful example of hospitality with professional friendly staff and wonderful accommodations. Recently renovated, all areas of the hotel are fresh, clean, sophisticated and modern. All non-smoking, the rooms are fresh, bright and clean and beautifully furnished with dark woods, granite computer desks, deep rich colored fabrics and wide flat screen TVs in every room. The luxurious soft beds and fine bed linens are a dream. Nice spa amenities are provided in bath. Exercise and pool areas are good. Convenience store offers coffee, bagels - fresh fruit, ice cream, snacks and sundries. Convenient free garage parking is on site. Many excellent restaurants of all types are nearby - within 1 mile, but you'll need a car to get to them because of the highways. Also nearby: Fairfax Hospital, Tysons Malls, movie theater, Merrifield, Dulles access, Wolf Trap Park. Free shuttle service to nearby Metro Dunn Loring station and shopping mall makes getting to DC business or sightseeing destinations and Tysons premier shopping areas easy! Conveniently located off Beltway in Fairview business park. Lovely landscaped business area makes for an attractive early morning outdoor jog. One negative, extra fee is charged for wireless access or for using computer/business office. This is one of my favorite Marriotts and one we'll return to again.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Heidi from Williamsburg, VA
“It ended up being a beautiful room. The description was quite misleading in that it stated it was a deluxe room with an additional 300 ft of living space. There was no additional living space besides a regular hotel room with two double beds. We had two children with us and need extra space. Disappointed in the description, but my disgruntled feelings were subsided by the plush accommodations.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Jeff from Clarks Summit, PA
“Beautiful hotel. The food in their main restaurant was disappointing and expensive - not what I would expect from a full-service Marriott. The hotel location is a bit isolated, but not too far from falls church downtown and Mclean/Tysons corner. Although most hotels don't charge for internet access this hotel charges around $10 per day. And you can't buy just one day without the hassle of calling the front desk, and then they still charged me for my entire stay anyway. Most hotels have free business centers, but theirs was outrageously expensive - which explains why it was empty while I was there. Overall this is a very nice hotel and I would stay here again.” Aug 14, 2007 by
Gregg from Alhambra, CA
“The Marriott Fairview Park was clean and very upscale. It is in a business park (or near one) and if you don't want to eat at the hotel's restaurants there is an Italian restaurant and a Chinese place in the foot court of the business park where you can eat dinner easily for around $6.00. There is a free shuttle from the metro to the hotel, though it doesn't run past 8:30 p.m. The time from the hotel to downtown DC was only about 30 minutes. The subway seemed to run every 5 minutes or so. When I first got there and called the hotel the clerk told me the wrong place to wait for the shuttle, so I did have to wait a bit.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 13, 2007 by

“Good quiet location, on top of major roads. Staff was professional and friendly. Room was just fine and great new flat HDTV (no HD channels on my set but very happy to have the experience of seeing it. Hope to stay there again.” Jul 3, 2007 by
Mrs S. from Weston, FL
“A nice hotel for the business as well as leisure traveler, except for the overpriced Internet connection charges ($9.99/day) which will definitely be a factor when deciding on a hotel for my next, longer visit to the area.” Jul 3, 2007 by
Barbara from West Boylston, MA
“This hotel is close enough to DC to make it a great choice. It was extremely clean, comfortable and has an indoor/outdoor pool that was wonderful. It felt very safe and staff was helpful and polite. It is not walking distance to anything but it's a short drive to pretty much anything you might need or want to do.” Jun 29, 2007 by
Mike from Dallas, TX
“Hotel was recently remodeled, and it showed in the nice, attractive rooms and in the lobby and public areas. Room was cramped, however, very little space on the sides of the beds. Bathroom was nice but also not very big. Lobby was beautiful, everyone very friendly. Would stay there again.” Jun 28, 2007 by
Susan from Imperial, MO
“Very nice hotel with a great pool for the kids. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Took full advantage of the free shuttle to the metro station. Would recommend this hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 24, 2007 by
Charles from Fairfax, VA
“Great hotel, great location. Rooms are nicely appointed and the beds/bedding is very nice. Staff is friendly. There is a small surface lot and a large garage for self parking, but the garage is not convenient to the hotel lobby and elevators to sleeping rooms. Room service is available, and there is a bar and a couple of restaurants on site. There is also a small gift shop that sells star bucks coffee and pastries. The location is convenient to Tyson's Corner and the beltway. There are no off-site retail establishments within walking distance but there are several shopping centers a short drive away. A car is required if you want to go anywhere outside of the hotel. There is a shuttle bus service available.” Jun 21, 2007 by
Shirley(Dawn'S M. from Orefield, PA
“We came here with our daughter, her husband and our 2 grandchildren. We enjoyed the pool facilities and the overall cooperativeness of the staff. The place was clean and comfortable and it met our expectations. The staff helped us in any way they could, even paying for our taxi when our shuttle car driver was struck in traffic.” Jun 20, 2007 by
Cheryl from Fort Worth, TX
“This is an excellent hotel, in a wonderful location. If you don't have your own vehicle, they have a shuttle available to take you either to the metro station or to local shopping areas. Would highly recommend this to anyone - family friendly, business travelers, etc.” Jun 14, 2007 by
Antonio from Albuquerque, NM
“My only gripe with this hotel was the size and location of the room. For two adults and three children (all under eight years old), I think we should have been given a larger room. Also, the room was located on the second floor along with some conference room and service rooms (although separated).” Jun 7, 2007 by
Bev from Tulsa, OK
“It is away from o.k. But they have a shuttle to the metro. You can get anywhere from there. The bed was very comfortable but don't let them put you in a handicap room unless you are handicapped. The vanity space was very small.” Jun 7, 2007 by
Bill from Pittsburgh, PA
“I would do my homework before staying in another Marriott. I expected the pool and work out facilities to be open later, and the rooms were not as big as I expected. For close to the same price I could have stayed in an embassy suites with bigger rooms, closer location, and smoking available.” Jun 5, 2007 by
Gina from Broken Arrow, OK
“The Marriott at Fairview park was beautifully situated you felt as though you were in a garden area. The grounds were beautiful! The staff was very friendly! Everything was very pretty and clean. The bed was pretty good for a hotel. My only complaint it there wasn't a bell boy to help with my luggage coming or going. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would do it again! It just had a nice feel to it!” Jun 4, 2007 by
Lee from Steubenville, OH
“I have not used Marriott for many years following a very bad experience at a Marriott property in key west, fl.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 2, 2007 by
Marge from Mclean, VA
“It is a shame that the hotel restaurant continues to be a disappointment. We frequently eat at the Marriott where there is Shoals and we think it is top notch and outstanding every time. Recently, there was no one in the restaurant and we went in for lunch at 1. We ended up leaving for many reasons. The hotel staff again, with the exception of the restaurant is all great.” May 27, 2007 by
Du L. from Raleigh, NC
“Very nice hotel. Friendly & family oriented. Only one disappointment: When I made reservation, I asked if the hotel has complementary breakfast, they said yes. But they do not provide complementary breakfast when we stay there. ” May 16, 2007 by
Kenneth from Raliegh, NC
“Nice hotel, very convenient to where we were going” May 7, 2007 by
Kimberly from Richmond, VA
“Outstanding location with easy access to highways and transportation. Beautiful wooded setting with water features. Very clean facility and helpful, friendly staff. Beyond that, hotel is very standard. Food service is dated and very limited. Bed feels as if a down topper has been put on an old and sagging mattress. No exceptional entertainment or amenities.” Apr 23, 2007 by
Becky from Williamsburg, VA
“I was recuperating from outpatient surgery and was not able to fully enjoy the hotel benefits outside of my room. It was clean, quiet, and well staffed with friendly people.” Mar 29, 2007 by
Brendan from Poughkeepsie, NY
“I liked it enough to not reject it but I¿ve stayed in all types 1 thru 6 star so at a 4 star I expect the amenities to be above average. I.e. The in room coffee service was in a bottom cabinet and had a broken and dirty tray.” Mar 29, 2007 by
Gary &. from Chicago, IL
“Excellent hotel, gorgeous lobby, daily newspapers, great pool, excellent workout room. Great location if you have a car, free parking. I would definitely go back again and again. Great restaurant 2491 just down the street.” Mar 27, 2007 by
Adam from Washington, DC
“This is a great hotel. The rooms were nicely decorated with the current trends. The lobby and common areas were beautiful and the staff was wonderful.” Mar 9, 2007 by
Renata from Alexandria, VA
“Would love to stay here every time.” Feb 6, 2007 by
Don from Wexford, PA
“This was a very attractive hotel located in a park like setting. The main lobby; restaurant and bar were nicely appointed and most of all the comfort of the rooms themselves made a very relaxing stay.” Jan 15, 2007 by
Wilson from Hockessin, DE
“Good location, nice new construction, Marriott¿s new bedding is very comfortable. Easy access from interstate.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 15, 2006 by

“Located in a rustic, tree lined area in falls church, van; this hotel will meet most of your needs whether on business or pleasure. Although, a restaurant is on site, I would suggest driving a short distance to some of the local venues for food as the selection at the hotel is somewhat limited and institutional. Do not expect complimentary breakfast here. Very comfortable rooms with the exception of being somewhat noisy! Request non-adjoining rooms at the least.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 15, 2006 by
Paul from Orlando, FL
“Great, upscale hotel in a safe part of town, within easy access to the beltway (495), but far enough from the noise of the interstate. Try to arrive in the day, because it is in what appears to be a business park with lots of trees, and could be difficult to find at night (for some reason, the bright Marriott sign is not seen very well from Fairview blvd).” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 12, 2006 by

“Good location. Typical of a Marriott, nothing for free, but if your company can afford the rates, then you can have a better than average experience.” Nov 6, 2006 by
April from Charlottesville, VA
“This hotel is very comfortable and convenient to 495. Great for business travels.” Oct 23, 2006 by
