• Clean, bright spaces, free parking.
• $ for internet, not easy to get around area.

“Definitely one of the nicer hotels. The room was clean and well-maintained, as were the rest of the facilities. On-site parking seemed plentiful and was free (valet is also available but not really needed). The only complaint I can think of has to do more with Leesburg Pike, which is an extremely busy road, making it a little challenging to get in and out of the hotel at times especially on foot. Overall location is good, right next to Tysons Corner Mall and about 2 miles from the Dunn-Loring Metro stop.”

• Made me feel like a movie star. Beds, overall hotel very cushy.
• Unless you know how to access, getting in and out is a bit tricky.

“This was my 4th or 5th stay at this Marriott. They have recently redecorated the lobby area. The hotel is very comfortable, staff very welcoming and accommodating. The couple in the room next door were having a knock down drag out argument I was afraid would spill over and disturb me but the security staff was right on it. The view out my window was lovely, the beds wonderful and the hotel is right across from Tyson's corner mall - very posh shopping and restaurants. Great experience.”

• The bedding was very comfortable and plush.
• Jets in public Jacuzzi weren't high enough to reach neck area.

• The friendly staff and comfortable bed.
• Had room 730. It was too long a walk from elevator, particularly for a senior citizen.

• One of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in.

“This hotel was clean, and the staff was adequate and fine. The mattress/bed was very comfortable, and the hotel was in a good location, right by a mall with restaurants and shops and convenient to downtown DC. The size of the hotel room was very, very small, however, probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in.”

• Clean, convenient location.
• Something was wrong with the heater and made noise all night - I did not sleep! Was there only to sleep - had oral surgery the next day.

“The accommodations and cleanliness were great, the staff very friendly. I was there to sleep because I had oral surgery the next morning - I live 3 hours away. I did not get the sleep I needed because the heater made a very high-pitched noise all night. The hotel felt camping my meal was the fair thing to do - it was not. I have never been so tired driving - ever!”

“This hotel is undergoing a complete renovation. The lobby was full of construction equipment while we were there. Lucky for us, we were high enough up that any construction noise didn't bother us -- we just tiptoed our way past the mess in the lobby in to the elevators, and that was that.”

• Hands down or up, Mr. Brian, the front desk supervisor. We have not seen him in a while, but he remembered our name and greeted us as though we were.
• Cont. family friends. We have the most high regard for all the employees, but he stands out!!

“The hotel is in the process of being renovated. The new rooms are lovely and well appointed and the staff go the extra mile to let guests be comfortable. We were very impressed with everyone we came into contact with and all our needs were met.”

• Very convenient location and clean.
• At this price Internet access should be FREE not another $10.

“Great location and the room was very clean. The complimentary water bottles, apples, and granola bars were nice but given the location and costs for the room I was shocked when Internet access was another $10 per day. Also, with all the restaurants in the area I was shocked to see the breakfast prices at this hotel. Rather then feeling welcome I felt like they wanted to pick my pocket for every dime they could get.”

• Our bed was miserable--soft and lumpy.

“More than satisfying at the price we paid. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Access was easy, as was parking, which was free and under cover. Room was small but clean. Bathroom was renovated and ample. Shower head was great! Coffee in room was not good flavor. Bed was awful. Despite these last two things we enjoyed our stay and would do again.”

• The massive amount of reconstruction going on.

“The location of the hotel was great, although for people coming out of town, I see how it could be hard to find the entrance to. The hotel was sufficient for my needs, however I'll wait until the rebuilding is done, they're working on a multi-year, multi-million dollar refurbishing of the building, so much so I heard one of the front desk employees say "the lobby will be done in 07, and that's just the beginning". The rooms were small, and felt overly crowded stuffing 2 double beds, a desk, a table lamp, and an entertainment unit into a space that could probably only should of held 1 bed and the entertainment unit.”

• The room was so comfortable--The bed was the best!
• The entrance to the hotel is inconvenient. It is necessary to do a u-turn and go 2 miles out of your way to enter from the east.

“Aside from difficulty entering from 7E (it's easy to miss the entrance as it is set back from the road), I found my short stay to be pleasant. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was exceptionally comfortable. The area is great if you're interested in shopping.”

• I liked the indoor pool and sauna.
• Every morning from about 8 am to late evening there was a loud banging throughout the whole hotel from construction all day long headaches and no sleep.

“Nice but no respect for guests and the sports bar had food but no food you would expect to find in a sports bar and all other restaurants were closed.”

• Location is great; right off of the 495 Beltway & convenient to I66.
• Awkward entrance off of Route 7 coming from the west; have to turn away from the hotel and cross a bridge!

“Very good hotel for business travelers in the Northern Virginia Area. We attended a wedding in Falls Church and needed a convenient hotel, and this suited perfectly. It has a very "corporate" feel with little warmth or cuddling from the staff, but parking is ample and it's convenient to Tyson's Corner and the expressways. It has standard "mid-upscale" decor and amenities -- the Bath and Body Works stuff was nice. We'd stay there again; but do not stay here if you're planning on spending your time in the District, as traffic on Route 7 is horrible and 66 is often HOV only!”

“Like any Marriott you can and should expect quality from the front desk to your room. This particular hotel was in the heart of upscale shopping. I even got a chance to purchase an anniversary gift for the wife from Hermes which was right across the street. Helluva deal for 60 bucks!”

• Restaurant was dark with minimal selection.

“The facility is lovely and the courteously car makes accessibility a non-issue. It is about 10 minute car ride (they drive you) to the Metro station which is but 23-30 minutes to the Washington Mall area. The drivers will also pick you up at the Metro station and are happy to drive you to any location within 2 miles of the hotel which includes great restaurants and a large mall to mention a couple of things. The staff are friendly and helpful to even first time visitors.”

• Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Great continental breakfast.
• Only room available at booking for the price we wanted was designated smoking and unfortunately there was quite a smoky odor to the room.

“Hotel was better than I expected for a 2 star hotel. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to find something for me on request. Would stay there again for a Cubs game or if I wanted to be in an area with lots of choices for bars and restaurants.”

• Not as sharp as the Marriott at Fairview, but I would not avoid it for that reason.

• Can't figure out why they have so many problems with their parking deck.

“Very clean, good location, and great staff. For some reason, the parking deck is taped off as caution for the last two years. Can't figure out the problem but there is a covered area, a front area, and a garage so it is irrelevant All in all, a great hotel and a great location.”

• Very comfortable bed, very clean, no trace of cigarette smoke.
• Very limited dining facilities, very small room and bathroom.

“Because of the design of the road on which the hotel is situated, it is very difficult to get to the hotel from the opposite side of the road. Once there, however, the experience is quite pleasant. It was impossible, however, to get milk or cream for coffee at 9 pm or even 7 am. One had to wait for the housekeeping department to open at 9 am or else get dressed, leave the room, and go out to buy one's own coffee with cream. Even Motel 6 and Super 8 offer complimentary free brewed coffee with milk or cream.”
