• Quality and cleanliness of room and facility; quality of food at Shula's.
• For me, restaurant did not open early enough. Also, no transport to metro.

• It was a nice hotel, infact excellent except that I could not sleep because of some people making noise at night on my floor.
• There was no free internet service.

“Hotel was great. Very nice service, very clean but when I told the manager that the my floor was too noisy she really didn't take much notice of it. I heard few girls screaming at 3 am and then 4:00 am so loud that I couldn't sleep. There was no free internet. In most hotels its free and there is never a problem.”

• Superb experience. beautiful, comfortable, and professional staff.
• Difficult to get to from major roads.

“We were extremely happy with our accommodations. The redecoration of the hotel is outstanding, the staff is exceptional, the parking garages were better than most and the room was extremely nice. No, I don't work for Marriott. Ha! Few travel experiences match your expectations. This hotel experience exceeded our expectations.”

• Clean, well appointed room, convenient to shopping, dining and entertainment.
• Bathrooms are small.

“I was in town for a very quick overnight attending a concert at Wolf Trap and was not in the hotel or in my room much. The room was comfortable and well appointed.”

• The restaurant was great.
• The room was cramped for a Marriott Chain Hotel.

“These rooms are smaller than a Motel-6 Hotel. The staff wasn't the most knowledgeable group but outside of this you get what you pay for with a Marriott hotel.”

• Shula's is terrible and cannot compare with other restaurants in the area for price etc.

“The Marriott is just wonderful and the staff are exceptional. They make you feel that you are their honored guests. The improvements in the rooms and amenities is wonderful. The best of the best when comparing Hilton, Sheraton, Westin in the area. Only the Ritz is better.”

• Only one bellman on duty. Took 15 minutes to get our luggage in room.

“Great location for shopping at Tysons Corner or for business travelers in the Northern Virginia area. Free parking. Wonderful spacious room with king size bed.”

• The room was clean, fresh, and without a musty odor.
• Didn't care for the noise and attention given by guest sipping cocktails on a bench/sitting area near the entrance.

“Overall the hotel was excellent; however, initially there was some frustrating when the hotel could not confirm my reservations. Since I would arrive after 6:00 pm I called ahead to confirm and was transferred to at least three individuals before getting a positive answer. Upon my arrival at the hotel the desk clerk had to consult with other hotel personnel regarding my reservations before completing the in-processing.”

“This hotel would be good for someone traveling alone on business in the DC area. Not for tourists or people with families. I felt like we were in the way through the week and my children sometimes received looks from staff and guests. Wouldn't stay there again.”

• Got great combination of 2 rooms located next to each other, thanks to the nice person at the front desk.
• Restaurant with little light, personally did not enjoy the food.

“Good location, clean, modern hotel/lobby/rooms, recreational facilities in good shape, everything worked even the sauna, life guard was really paying attention to kids swimming in the pool, we were lucky with the 2 rooms we got, very spacious. Parking is free, everything great but for the restaurant, however there are numerous alternatives closely, so this is easy to handle.”

• It has a very beautiful lobby area and some nice amenities.
• This hotel has to be the most difficult to locate of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The sign faced away form the major hwy that passes it.

“The one thing I could recommend would be to put a larger directional sign showing where the hotel is or put the lighted letters on both sides of the hotel. Leesburg pike is a very busy highway and you cannot turn left to access the hotel, therefore you must go about 1 mile down past the hotel to be able to turn around to get to the other side, then travel back to the proper side to access the hotel. Other than that the accommodations were great. Hotel personnel were awesome!”

• Nice and attractive.
• The double beds were more like twin beds.

“The hotel itself was nice but it was a pain in the beck to get to driving. To turn into it from the main area of Tysons, you had to drive a mile past it and make a u turn and then drive a mile back in order to turn into the hotel. Also, the double beds were more like a little bigger than twin beds. Aside from this, the hotel was great. I'd recommend it!”

• The front desk and shuttle staff were exceptional.
• Shula's was the only dining/lounge option in the hotel.

“This hotel is in an absolutely prime location, with an abundance of nightlife and shopping options nearby. It's proximity to highways makes it very easy to find. To top everything off, the front desk and shuttle drivers are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and responsive. One of the better Marriott's in which I've stayed.”

“For the price I had paid, I did not think it is a value price. The room where I was stayed was in the 4th floor were noisy all night with people talk on cell phone at the hall out side my room, and people ran around the hall all night. What a nightmare.”

“It is increasingly likely that business travelers will find more to like at courtyard by Marriott than the large "main" Marriott hotels. However, Marriott in any instance has a lot going for it.”

• The free shuttle transport w/ in a 2 mile radius made the hotel location perfect for attending a nearby conference.
• In room internet was not wireless and cost $10/day.

“The Marriott Tysons corner preserved the style and quality expected of this chain. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, the hotel was clean and the hotel shuttle made business/shopping in the area a breeze. If I were to suggest improvements, I'd say they need to update their pool/hot tub and establish wireless internet access in the hotel rooms.”

• The staffs are wonderful throughout the hotel. They remember past guests and make them feel special.

• Clean, bright spaces, free parking.
• $ for internet, not easy to get around area.

“Definitely one of the nicer hotels. The room was clean and well-maintained, as were the rest of the facilities. On-site parking seemed plentiful and was free (valet is also available but not really needed). The only complaint I can think of has to do more with Leesburg Pike, which is an extremely busy road, making it a little challenging to get in and out of the hotel at times especially on foot. Overall location is good, right next to Tysons Corner Mall and about 2 miles from the Dunn-Loring Metro stop.”

• Unless you know how to access, getting in and out is a bit tricky.

“This was my 4th or 5th stay at this Marriott. They have recently redecorated the lobby area. The hotel is very comfortable, staff very welcoming and accommodating. The couple in the room next door were having a knock down drag out argument I was afraid would spill over and disturb me but the security staff was right on it. The view out my window was lovely, the beds wonderful and the hotel is right across from Tyson's corner mall - very posh shopping and restaurants. Great experience.”

• Jets in public Jacuzzi weren't high enough to reach neck area.

• The friendly staff and comfortable bed.
• Had room 730. It was too long a walk from elevator, particularly for a senior citizen.

• One of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in.

“This hotel was clean, and the staff was adequate and fine. The mattress/bed was very comfortable, and the hotel was in a good location, right by a mall with restaurants and shops and convenient to downtown DC. The size of the hotel room was very, very small, however, probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in.”
