• Location-rat. 650 goes right to Tyson¿s corner center.
• Front desk staff was somewhat rude.

“Merrifield residence inn is a pleasant motel type of accommodation. We had to go outside or take a long walk around in order to get to our room. The front desk personnel were not customer service oriented. The free breakfast was poorly prepared. However, the room was very clean (the bathroom does not have an exhaust fan, however) and the location was excellent for our purpose-shopping at Tyson¿s corner center. The kitchen would be ideal for a longer stay and there is a giant supermarket in a shopping center right next to the residence inn. We were given a handicapped accessible room (which I applaud the availability of), though we had not requested one, but I did notice that while the tub had the requisite bars and chair, the bath mat had no rubber backing and a person with limited mobility could easily slip on the hard tile floor.”

“I am retired and rarely travel any more, but I traveled a lot for most of my federal career. This would have been very high on my all-time list: parking, staff, breakfast, evening goodies. And the room layout. All for a great price. One of my favorites.”

• They need more insulation on their windows.

“This is a wonderful hotel with extremely friendly people working there. The room was spacious and it's located about a 5 minute drive from a very safe metro station. The free parking is nice also.”

• Kitchen in room w/ dishware. Pots, pans, utensils, etc.
• HVAC unit¿s noisy and situated close to bed - makes sound sleep difficult.

“All in all, quite enjoyable and comfortable. The little interaction I had with staff was pleasant; room was comfortable and well equipped.”

• No van service from aid, all no smoking rooms.

• I liked the size of the room and it's amenities like the pool and breakfast.
• The lifeguard at the pool didn't clean the pool and was on the phone all the time.

“Overall the hotel was great. Great location with restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. The room was large and had a great dressing area and bathroom. The pool was a nice added bonus. The breakfast was delicious although we would have liked it to be open a bit longer...for us late sleepers.”

• Rooms big, staff helpful, breakfast was great, dinner was nice I would strongly recommend this site for anyone to have a restful stay.
• It is just a little hard to find.

“This hotel was very nice. site was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. In was in walking distance of several restaurants and a grocery store. The breakfast was great and the evening meal was a nice treat.”

• Located close to highway access, many conveniences - refrigerator, microwave, Internet at room, complimentary hot breakfast.
• Would prefer 2 sinks, didn't notice any night light in room, swimming pool too small for swimming.

“Pleasant rooms, well-suited for extended stays. Good selection on complimentary hot breakfast buffet. Fitness club use available nearby. Excellent location in Virginia suburb of Washington DC.”

“My daughter booked so could have been her fault. Ended up with a small bed ,smoking room. Clerk changed us to non smoking but bed was kind of small. Would have liked a king or a queen.”

• Internet and beds.
• Our floor was entirely unfinished and in the middle of renovation.

“The floors were littered with halogen light bulbs and empty boxes of building materials. The carpet ended after my room, and the floor was solid concrete. The pull out bed smelled like cigarettes.”

• Breakfast was very good.
• The bed sagged in the middle. The vanity light shines on the bed making it difficult for one person to be sleeping while the other is gettting ready

“The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen area was very nice and we enjoyed the coffee and popcorn left in the room. It is a nice "home away from home".”

• Breakfast & light dinner weekdays-suites bed/sofa bed

“Staff very nice-very helpful-About 1 mile from Subway to DC, breakfast & light dinner served during week-free internet access with card staff provides. Rooms 1 bed and sofa bed, with 2 burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, full set dishes, iron/board-swimming pool/spa. All very nice. Very secure facility, need cards to get in parking lot, gates, etc. Will be checking out Residence Inn in future.”

• need to allocate more non-smoking rooms; hotel has a foul odor

“Hotel is not up to par for a Residence Inn. Should not be advertised as a Tyson's Corner location, as it is located in West Falls Church and is difficult to get to from Tyson's Corner. Need to clean and deodorized the place.”

• secure, helpful staff. good location, clean, dinner&breakfast no charge

“Convient location. easy access, can walk to neighboring shopping center. Parking is secure and under the hotel in case of inclement weather. Dinner and breakfast included at no charge. Room was clean and quiet. Coffee and popcorn in the room, Would be happy to stay there again.”

• Spacious rooms and free high-speed internet access made it a comfortable stay!
• I did find some papers from a previous guest in a desk drawer - that's about it.

“Very spacious rooms with living room made my stay very comfortable. Easily accessible from the Beltway, it is conveniently located in the heart of Northern Virginia. Underground parking is a plus, with several elevators making finding my room simple.”

• Initially they put me in smoking, they fixed it.

“Residence Inn Merrifield is conveniently located near the capital beltway, rooms have a large sitting area with functioning fireplace, breakfast bar and kitchen with range top, full size fridge, microwave and coffee pot in each room. Hotel is quiet and clean. Staff was friendly, professional and accommodating.”
