“We enjoyed our stay, the hotel was very clean and child friendly, had everything you would need or want. The front desk was great to deal with and the continental breakfast the next morning was really good!”

• Very spacious room, free meals, really quiet, next to great shopping center.
• I really cannot think of anything I did not like.

“Really nice and clean spacious room with satisfying free meals! A five minute walk from a shopping center with about half a dozen different restaurants, pharmacy, supermarket, etc! Quiet room with various amenities such as a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and a pull-out sofa bed (almost as comfortable as the main bed)! Nice exercise room and great trail pet run for walking! Really helpful staff, always willing to go the extra mile!”

• Great location, room had a kitchen and great facilities. Free hot breakfast!
• The hotel needs to use different cleaning solutions. It smelled like a terrible brand of men's cologne.

“If you are in the Washington area or are heading down South, this is the hotel for you. If you are on a family vacation, this is the most economical way to travel. This is my 4th time staying at this hotel and I wouldn't travel any other way.”

• Furnished kitchen plus accompanying silverware.
• No WiFi.

“The place where I stayed was terrific! The hotel staff was remarkably friendly and quite knowledgeable and I was astonished to hear that they were new. There were many business travelers passing through, but that did not disturb me. Furthermore, the rooms were well insulated from noise so what my neighbors did next door or kids running in the halls did not reach me! The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and there was also a free complimentary breakfast that consisted of more than just bagels and muffins. While they had free internet access for 1 day, that was the only drawback because I had to plug in an Ethernet cable into the laptop preventing me from working on the coffee shop or in the kitchen. The room I had was on the fourth floor and the only view I had was of their swimming pool down below. It wasn't too large of a pool so I didn't bother going myself.”

• I enjoyed everything!

“My stay at the Marriott was peaceful, fun and relaxing. It was great that there was a pool and basketball court! This made for a fun time between my I and my partner. And the fact that we didn't have to go out of the hotel for breakfast, gave us some family time that we needed. If you are looking to have a little laid back fun, rest or just be. Then this is definitely the place to stay!”

• Simply put, it was perfect!
• Nothing not to like.

“This is a hotel I could live in for a month. Everything was convenient. The staff was friendly. The breakfasts were first rate. The snacks were place perfectly. There was a full kitchen, and the feeling of being in a home rather than a hotel room. Even the psychological touches were perfect.”

• The rooms are spacious with refrigerator/microwave.
• Beds are too hard for me, definitely not comfortable. Toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc.) are skimpy for more than one person.

“Good location in Merrifield, close to restaurants. This facility is generous with their Hearth Room amenities. Rooms are spacious, but not entirely comfortable.”

“Its ok on a Sunday night in dc after a 2 day weekend. Room is quiet; we can have breakfast at the hotel and get an early start for Pittsburgh. Only thing I didn't like bed kind of small for 2.”

“We traveled to visit family in Falls Church. This hotel was close to them, the freeway and the metro making it very convenient all around. The room was very comfortable and roomy with all the amenities we needed. We were able to park the car in a secured garage. It was a very good experience all around.”

“This hotel was a great price for a suite. Close to shopping and restaurants. They offer a calendar with tourist suggestions for those unfamiliar with the area. The staff is helpful and courteous.”

• Great accommodations and amenities. Love the breakfast and evening reception. Spacious rooms nicely lay out. Like home. Very clean.
• Only minor: towels were a bit rough, could use fabric softener. Provide key drop at garage exit for departing guests.

“Well laid out facility, and spacious lobby and rooms. Excellent amenities obviously planned for business travelers and families. Great accommodations and amenities (fitness, internet, lounge, fireplace, patio). Good spacious live-in rooms with sitting areas and kitchens just like home. Love the breakfast and the variety in the evening manager's receptions. An especially good draw. More than just a place to sleep. Very clean. Heated underground garage feels safe, and is great in winter! Have stayed 3 times, will keep coming back.”

• Very comfortable and affordable. The room was clean and the staff was excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
• I can't think of one thing I didn't like about this place.

“I spent three days at the residence for a business trip and I got the best sleep I had in awhile. I also love the fact that this hotel has a kitchen with all the bells and whistles. There was also a private garage to park your car. I'm definitely recommending this place for anyone traveling whether for business or leisure.”

• Location-rat. 650 goes right to Tyson¿s corner center.
• Front desk staff was somewhat rude.

“Merrifield residence inn is a pleasant motel type of accommodation. We had to go outside or take a long walk around in order to get to our room. The front desk personnel were not customer service oriented. The free breakfast was poorly prepared. However, the room was very clean (the bathroom does not have an exhaust fan, however) and the location was excellent for our purpose-shopping at Tyson¿s corner center. The kitchen would be ideal for a longer stay and there is a giant supermarket in a shopping center right next to the residence inn. We were given a handicapped accessible room (which I applaud the availability of), though we had not requested one, but I did notice that while the tub had the requisite bars and chair, the bath mat had no rubber backing and a person with limited mobility could easily slip on the hard tile floor.”

• I liked the size of the room and it's amenities like the pool and breakfast.
• The lifeguard at the pool didn't clean the pool and was on the phone all the time.

“Overall the hotel was great. Great location with restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. The room was large and had a great dressing area and bathroom. The pool was a nice added bonus. The breakfast was delicious although we would have liked it to be open a bit longer...for us late sleepers.”

• It is just a little hard to find.

• Located close to highway access, many conveniences - refrigerator, microwave, Internet at room, complimentary hot breakfast.
• Would prefer 2 sinks, didn't notice any night light in room, swimming pool too small for swimming.

• Our floor was entirely unfinished and in the middle of renovation.

“The floors were littered with halogen light bulbs and empty boxes of building materials. The carpet ended after my room, and the floor was solid concrete. The pull out bed smelled like cigarettes.”

• Breakfast was very good.
• The bed sagged in the middle. The vanity light shines on the bed making it difficult for one person to be sleeping while the other is gettting ready

“The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen area was very nice and we enjoyed the coffee and popcorn left in the room. It is a nice "home away from home".”

“Staff very nice-very helpful-About 1 mile from Subway to DC, breakfast & light dinner served during week-free internet access with card staff provides. Rooms 1 bed and sofa bed, with 2 burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, full set dishes, iron/board-swimming pool/spa. All very nice. Very secure facility, need cards to get in parking lot, gates, etc. Will be checking out Residence Inn in future.”
