• Reliable transportation, friendly staff, clean, short drive to airport.

• Decent rooms once you pass the reception.
• Worse reception I've come across in my travels for a hotel that calls it self 3.5 star.

“The reception is extremely unfriendly and rude. The manager was not at all friendly at check in and didn't care the staff was that way either. The rooms on the other hand are fairly decent. The cleaning staff are also nice.”

• The location. Nothing more. Nothing less.
• Nonchalant staff. Shuttle service provided by grumpy drivers.

“This hotel badly needs renovation and cleaning. Retraining of staff for guest courtesy can also go a long way. Location is superb though.”

• Room was clean and comfortable.
• Pool was closed all afternoon. Room refrigerator didn't work.

“Designed only around business traveler. Pool was closed in the hottest part of the day, they said, because everyone is at work. I wasn't at work. front desk had a poor attitude about it. Also, room fridge is good idea if it works. Shuttle to airport was good and driver was very helpful.”

• The food and the server was good and pleasant.
• House keeping (bugs).

“My stay at this hotel was not at all a good one. first my key would not open the room door, so we were sent to another room, this room was not suitable for to me. We were then sent back to the first room, the bed bugs were biting, but we sprayed the room, so we stayed in this room for one night. The next day when we returned from shopping my granddaughter and I, the AC was not working. We had to move to another room, the bugs were very bad, my granddaughter could not rest. That was my first and last time in this hotel.”

• The hotel didn't have any security staff nor security cameras outside of the building itself. Yet it was next to a bad neighborhood.

“Overall, interior of the hotel was nice but the staff weren't very helpful when my car was vandalized. Also the lack of security staff and cameras made me feel unsafe.”

• Cockroaches in the bathroom, noisy environment (can hear every noise from the other bathrooms next door).

“The facilities look OK. But not that clean. I saw a cockroach at the bathroom. On top of everything, the noise from other rooms bathrooms was seriously disturbing. I could not sleep well.”

• Location & convenience to get into DC.
• The bed was not the best.

“Very nicely updated and modern. The king bed we had was concaved in the middle and we didn't sleep the best. The shower was tricky and couldn't keep a constant temperature so it would fluctuate from hot to cold. But location for what we needed was great a walk to a bus stop that took you to a metro rail station which then took you into Washington, DC.”

“I have stayed at this hotel before and had issues with the TV and this time with something as basic as shampoo being in the bathroom was more a communication issue than anything. Location is good.”

• Quite frankly, I hated everything about this hotel because the front desk manager was the rudest I ever encountered.
• I have never experienced a worse front desk manager. Her guest service skills are terrible.

“I am a crew member for an airline. I worked an all nighter and was very tired. I arrived at 7am and I understand that check in is not that early. However, the front desk manager did not even look at me and told me that they would not check in for another 3 hours. While all housekeeping staff checked in at 7am and went to work, one can not tell me that there had no other guest checked out before I had arrived. The least this front desk manager could have done was to ask housekeeping to get one room ready, because there was a tired guest waiting to go to sleep. I had to sit there for another 3 hours and of course I can not recommend this hotel just because off this incident. This front desk manager has no clue on how to treat a guest and therefore should go back to basic training on how to treat a guest in a hotel. I have stayed at this hotel before and I am sorry to say that this experience will make me not recommending this hotel ever again.”

• Easy access to Dulles Airport and historic sites both in the north and south.
• Front desk staff was helpful but not overly friendly.

“This hotel is adjacent to a restaurant and next to several fast food places. There is direct access to the main toll road which goes into DC. We felt safe and comfortable while staying 8 nights.”

• The hotel was newly remodeled and had a nice appearance.
• The beds were horrible.

“The hotel was remodeled since we moved out of the area. The remodel was very nice except for the beds. There were no king size beds available so we ended up in a room with two doubles. My husband and I both woke up with sore backs from the beds. They were horrible. My husband even wrote up a comment card about how bad they were and he never does that. We won't stay here again.”

• The convenience to the highway.
• The room size, the woman who took care of us at check-in, the attached hotel restaurant was awful.

“The hotel in general was clean and easy to get too, but the rooms were much too small for a family. The staff at check in were far from friendly. I felt like an unwelcome visitor. The hotel restaurant was not very good at all for breakfast. The buffet was not in its entirety available to all guests. The food ordered from the menu was awful and the prices were outrageous. I would not recommend it to anyone or anything.”

• TV channel listings posted in the room did not match the TV Channels.

“The room was very nicely decorated. We liked the package of ear plugs, eye shades and lavender spray and the CD on how to sleep soundly. They also had a nice little gift shop.”

• The inside of the hotel does have an upscale look and feel. I also liked that after 9:00 pm a key card was required to get an elevator to guest rooms.
• The maid did not restock a number of the items that I had used, like clean glasses, from one day to the next.

“Overall I was happy with my stay. The bed was not as cushioned as some others of competitors in this class have. The room did have a refrigerator in it, which I very much like. It also had a flat screen TV, overstuffed chair and ottoman, and desk. Parking was a little limited.”

• If you have business at or around IAD. This is the place to stay!
• It was kind of a busy, noisy weekend.

• Very clean, updated facilities, plenty of space, convenient to DC.
• Rooms did not have sofa bed and costs were $10/night.

“This was a good hotel for access to DC and Metro stops. It was very clean, newer-feeling and very comfortable. My only complaint would be that the double beds are very small and there isn't a sofa bed in any type of room. It made accommodations slightly awkward for our group of 3 and someone had to sleep on the floor. Two people couldn't sleep in one of those double beds. Other than that, great stay!”

“We were assigned a smoking room and everyone in my group has severe asthma. The hotel staff argued with me about changing to a non-smoking room. There were none available of the same type, but offered me an upgraded room. I told them this was unacceptable and after several minutes of arguing they finally moved some rooms around and got us a non-smoking room. The check in experience was very poor.”
