new hotel in a new development north of IAD. Clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Free Wi-Fi. Free shuttle to/from IAD and to nearby areas. Difficult to control room temperature at a comfortable level. Good noise insulation. Minimum traffic near the hotel. Breakfast and dinner available at the hotel.”

- The room with queen was excellent and what
I expected form a 3.5 star location.
- Double room smelled of smoke, difficult to locate, staff was very busy.

- Recently renovated business king room with 47" plasma HD TV, comfortable desk chair & work space.
- $10 per day charge for internet access. 6 days of that would pay for a full month of wireless broadband internet access from verizon, sprint, etc.

- Huge room, comfortable bed. Best shower I've ever seen in a hotel.
- No microwave or fridge and a little hard to get to, off the highway.
“A great Hilton property! Beautiful lobby area and quick service at the desk. Large rooms, with many amenities, including very comfortable beds, a large plasma TV on the wall and a nicely appointed bathroom, with a HUGE shower, with dual shower heads (plenty of room for two people!). Definitely in the top 10 Hilton properties, that I have ever stayed at.”

- Too many screaming teenagers and the elevator shook my room every 30 seconds.
“I would not stay here again until they finish some remodeling they are doing. I would also be sure to ask for a room far away from the bus groups they take in. My room was two doors down from the elevator and the noise from the elevator will never change. This was a pretty horrible experience.”

- It has amenities expected of a 3 star and up hotel (bar, nice restaurant, garage parking, others.)
- Hilton does a bad job modernizing. Room was not nice (shower dripped, light outside of window with no shades to draw).
“It appears Hilton does not prioritize remodeling. The room I received had a street lamp for the parking lot directly outside of my window, and no blocking shades to pull, only the thin, wispy, white see-through cover. Internet access policy of noon to noon not convenient for a two-night traveler. Food in the bar and restaurant is very over-priced, and there are not convenient restaurants nearby. Workout facilities were very nice though, and plenty of parking.”

- The room was excellent with a large plasma TV and multiple easy hookups to the TV.
- The Internet access was below my expectations. On the last day it didn't work even after spending 30 minutes or so on the phone with technical support.
“This hotel was an excellent hotel. The room was very roomy and comfortable. The bed had numerous pillows and was very comfortable too. The large plasma TV was excellent although I would have liked a better selection of channels. If you are bringing a family, bring your video game system with you. The TV had multiple hook-ups to easily connect any game system or computer to the TV. The shower was very large with a standard shower head and an overhead rainfall shower head. One thing to note is that there is no bath tub. There laundry service was prompt and did an excellent job on my clothes.I did have a few problems. The shower didn't have enough pressure when the temperature was at a level my skin could tolerate. I reported the issue to maintenance on the first day, but it was never resolved. On my last day, I could not get the Internet to work. I called LodgeNet technical support. They were very helpful but unable to solve the problem after about 30 minutes on the phone. Even when the Internet was working, I kept getting warnings that they detected me doing something that caused them to lower my bandwidth to 56k. The only thing I can think is that I was using a lot of bandwidth to get to my VPN to check email, access our LAN and browse the Internet, many times at the same time. They could think I was consuming bandwidth to host a server or launch a spam attack, but my use was a legitimate use. They need to adjust their algorithm to prevent degrading my service. All in all, it is an excellent hotel. You will not be disappointed.”

“This hotel was ok. I do not think it was as nice as other 3 star hotels that I have stayed in. I had to pay an additional 9.95 for wireless internet. When I got to the room there was barely any signal, so I hooked up to the Ethernet outlet that was provided. I was charged an additional 9.95 for that, which I think was a little excessive.”

“Overall, the experience wasnt bad, just the hair on the ceiling of the shower was gross! The exhaust fan did not work in the bathroom as there were 2 smokers and the smoke just hung. (I myself am a non smoker). On the upside, the bar was nice, bed was comfortable with nice down pillows and comforter. It was nice and close to the airport, yet couldnt hear the jets. We ordered coffee one morning and the tray sat outside the door for a day, and the halls had some trash littered throughout. Hard to understand some of the staff as some were foreign. No one knew directions really to anywhere, but that is common for that whole area id recommend map quest.”

- The rooms were the most comfortable Ive stayed in ever. The decor was stunning and the food was exquisite.
- They were somewhat lax about cleaning the hallways. Trays and other trash stayed in the same spot for more than 24 hours.
“The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It's minutes from the airport. The bed is truly the most comfortable Ive found in many trips. The restaurant was phenomenal. Expensive, but well worth it. We were a party of four and every dish was exceptional.”

- The overhead rain showerhead was worth staying there in and of itself!
- Even though the 'Do Not Disturb' sign was on the door, housekeeping kept knocking in the morning.
“They had me in a two double bed room, but were more than happy to upgrade me to a king room for the same rate. It was a gorgeous suite with a flat panel TV, sumptuous bedding, and a bathroom to die for! The marble/ceramic tile, upscale fixtures, Evelyn & Crabtree toiletries, and GIANT shower with a bench and ceiling rain showerhead as well as the regular wall mounted showerhead was just fantastic!”

- The $15.00 transportation fee to/from the airport.
“The hotel is very nice for a business traveler on an expense account. For those of use looking for more affordable accommodations. This hotel says they are too far from the airport to provide transportation free. In that case they should be moved from their current location to another so that we may continue to use your service. All the other hotels for Dulles provide free transportation.”

- Fabulous down comforters on the king size bed, large room, tile shower.
- Broken lampshade, punched whole in the wall, housekeeping staff that did not speak English.
“Fabulous business room -- lots of space, comfortable bed, big plasma TV, nice sized writing desk, high speed internet, tile and granite large shower with two shower heads. Room service dinner was not so good. Clams and pasta, not quite fresh enough. Housekeeping staff friendly, but not English speaking. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so if you are going there, plan to just stay in.”

- Very convenient to Dulles Airport.
“It was very convenient to Washington Dulles International Airport. The rooms are very spacious. The hotel lobby is very impressive. I ate dinner in the lounge which had a limited menu selection.”

- Lobby furniture.
- Hospitality is not just saying what you want the person to hear!
“When I asked how my 5 month old, 6 year old and self could arrange an after hours shuttle at 12:30 we were told to phone from the plane. I made it out to the curb in time to see the shuttle drive away. We didn't get picked up until 3 am, after being told it was my fault for not making to it the curb fast enough. Exhausted and needing to be at a funeral early the next day, I asked if I could stay another night and the manager told me yes, but the computers were down for the night. I never received a call to say he could not sign me up, so I left for the funeral and wake. When I got back to the hotel with my weary children that night, they had packed up my things. All of my personal things were touched by strangers. I was embarrassed because packing for the funeral had been haphazard. Apologizing, the woman at the counter gave me a breakfast buffet coupon. I called in the morning to ask if I could use the coupon for lunch since we were too tired to make it down for breakfast. Sitting down to lunch, I handed the coupon to the waiter who told me it was not possible to use it for credit. Again I was utterly embarrassed! I am missing at least half of a bathing suit and my phone charger (I had to do without my phone for part of the trip).”
