“It was a great stay, exremely close to the airport with great staff and room space and decoration. Overall: great!” Jan 16, 2008 by
Patricia from Elkins, WV
“A fine hotel, it is comfortable without being presumptuous. The room is airy, well coordinated color choices, very comfortable, with extra outlets and free internet. The hotel offers a free buffet style breakfast that has something for everyone. The lobby area does have a gas fireplace although it was not in use when I visited. The coffee in the lobby is great, although hot chocolate and tea is available 24/7 if you prefer. (And liquid creamers of all flavors.) Fresh warm cookies available in the evening. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming, and happy. Hotel facilities include an indoor pool and whirlpool, and exercise facilities. There is a computer on site for business use if you need it. You are located on route 50 and 28 which gives you quick access to Dulles Airport and to a major mall (Fair Oaks) and you can also get to Tysons Corners. There are other smaller stores/fast food places closer. No restaurant on site but Damon's restaurant is within walking distance (restaurant not tried). This hotel is has a bit of undeveloped space around it, which makes it nice if you like a bit of openness. Very business and family friendly.” Jan 14, 2008 by

“Good business traveler hotel - had a laundry. Gym could be better. Great to have a decent breakfast. Bed was good - linens and pillows were good and comfy. Full power shower.” Jan 14, 2008 by
Patricia from Elkins, WV
“A fine hotel, it is comfortable without being presumptuous. Shampoo and soap grace a cozy bathroom and the room is well furnished. Best of all, they have a good, very decent breakfast that has something for everyone! And the coffee in the lobby is great, although hot chocolate and tea is available if you prefer. And liquid creamers of all flavors. This coffee bar is available 24 hours, and fresh warm cookies available in the evening. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming, and happy. Although it maybe has not the luxurious feel of some beds or linens, you can sleep very comfortably. You are a bit further from the airport but you are located on route 50 which gives you quick access to a major mall (Fair Oaks) and you can also get to Tysons Corners. There are other smaller stores/fast food places closer. No restaurant on site but Damon's restaurant is within walking distance (restaurant not tried). This hotel is has a bit of undeveloped space around it, which makes it nice if you like a bit of open air. The room had wide stripes on the curtains and a bit uncoordinated colors - you have to have matching decor consider something different. Very family friendly. And extra outlets. Free internet.” Jan 8, 2008 by

“I would not be getting a refrigerator in my room. There was no microwave also! I felt I was insulted and humiliated by their treatment.” May 5, 2007 by
Harry from Acton, ME
“The Hotel was very accommodating including picking us up at the airport at 11:00 at night when we missed our rental car time. They answered all our questions and accommodated us in every way. Highly recommended!” Feb 22, 2007 by

“Hotel was great for our children 10 and 9. They got to spend most of the day in the heated pool. The hotel spa was good in the evenings for adults. At check out we ran across another couple who said they stay at this hotel all the time because of the cleanliness. The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location for traveling around DC, Virginia and West Virginia. We really enjoyed our stay because of this.” Jan 24, 2007 by

“The staff here was great about finding us connecting rooms (too hard to find these days). Cribs are provide free, which is also great. The pool didn't open until 6 PM which forced us to re-think our family's evening plans.” Dec 26, 2005 by
Karen from Weston, FL
“This is a great, affordable hotel. It's in a great location if your commute is mainly the no. western suburbs of no. Virginia Its right off Route 50 which is a congested nightmare but affords you quick access to 66 and 28. The hotel itself is very clean and I was upgraded to a suite (with micro and fridge) for a 5 day stay for free. There is an indoor swimming pool. Breakfast is free and has a wide variety of items. The staff is courteous The free wireless internet access is a great plus. Its a very quiet hotel since its tucked in away from the main road and the only real noise heard is the overhead planes from Dulles International.” Oct 26, 2005 by
Phil from Muskegon, MI
“Great for business traveler. Quick check in and check out. Got breakfast.” Oct 6, 2005 by
Linda from Walterboro, SC
“Nice hotel! Friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities and convenient location!” Aug 31, 2005 by
Lanzo from Hope Mills, NC
“The hotel staff did not conduct itself at a 2 star level - their professionalism deserves 5 stars! The rooms were exceptionally clean and the housekeeping staff did a wonderful job of making the room appear fresh and new each day. The staff stood by during the continental breakfast and made sure that all supplies were replenished and cleaned the tables after each guest left. The main reason why I mention this is that at many hotels a continental breakfast consists of a few pieces of fruit and cereal and if there is no milk or cereal when you decide to eat you have to track down a staff member. Not so at Fairfield - they were on top of everything during breakfast and treated guests as if we were at a 5 star restaurant. Many hotels can learn a lesson from Fairfield's customer service - they are A Plus quality in my book.” Aug 15, 2005 by
Bob from Lansdale, PA
“Hotel convenient location, friendly staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast, free USA today provided.” Aug 15, 2005 by

“Our host was most accommodating and helpful.I don't know how he was able to remember our names, but he greeted everyone by name from the moment we checked in till we left, and gave us directions to fine eating locations as well.” Mar 27, 2005 by
Daune from Reston, VA
“I would recommend it to others as a moderately-priced, clean, comfortable hotel. The staff was attentive and helpful and I would use it again.” Mar 20, 2005 by

“For the last 3 months I've been commuting for work and booking hotels on a weekly basis, so I have a variety of hotel experience to draw on. This was my first stay at a Fairfield Inn, and the lasting impression left by this location is that of an excellent balance of service, ammenities, and price. Little touches, such as a tiled shower and a TV has distinguishable audio, elevate this hotel above it's competition. The room was laid out in an accessible fashion and not overly crowded. It included a desk and chair as well as a comfortable living-room chair. I was particularly happy to have free wireless Internet that worked reliably and a large assortment of TV stations to watch. The complimentary breakfast had a good assortment of fruit, juice, cereals, Belgian waffles, and pastries.During my stay I was ill for a couple days, and the staff took notice and went out of their way to make me even more comfortable. The manager (night manager?) was extremely conscientious, almost to a fault--there was a geniune concern for my well-being and overall comfort. The one negative I noticed was that the hotel is directly in the flight path of one of Dulles Airport's runways and landing planes fly over just a few hundred feet overhead. I was on the top floor and the room kept the noise to a quite acceptable level (and landing airplanes are quieter than those taking off), but some might object. Most people should not be concerned.” Mar 19, 2005 by

“Very nice modern & clean room. Enjoyed my stay.” Sep 22, 2004 by
Elinor P. from Butler “The hotel was nice, clean, and nicely equipped. The breakfast was good also. The workout room leaves something to be desired, but it has a nice pool. I did have a worrisome event happen. When I checked in, I was given a card key and it turned out to be to an occupied room. I didn't realize it until fully into room and fortunately no one was there. My concern is that they might do that and it is my room that is entered by someone. Things like that should never happen. I was quite frightened until I left the room and closed their door.” Sep 22, 2004 by
Joanne S. from Mcsherrystown “I was very pleased with the my stay at the hotel!” Sep 10, 2004 by
Demetrious H. from Chesapeake “The hotel staff was friendly and courteous along with the facilities being very convenient. The hotel exceeded all of my expectations.”
