- The people sent us to a room that wasn't ours and upgraded us to a club room, very nice!
- The people next door to us were very loud. And it took an hour for them to shut up.

- Valet parking is a flat fee of $20.
“Very nice hotel, clean, great rate for a 4 star hotel. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, recommend Tobacco factory across the street. Governors Mansion and Capital building about 3-4 blocks up, very pretty. No Shopping in area. Do not valet park- $20 backside of hotel has a garage for $3-$10, also street parking may be available.”

- The room was spacious, and very clean!
- There was only one arm chair, but room for two.
“Parking was a but tricky, but only because we were trying to be stingy and not pay for Valet parking. The bellhops out front can direct you to the parking garage adjacent to the building. Our room did not have the greatest view, but everything else was ideal! The room was very clean, and there were plush robes hanging in the closet. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated, and the hotel staff was friendly. We enjoyed a nice steak dinner at The Tobacco Company, which is directly across the street from the hotel. Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous.”

- Poor Service - slightly used/ old feeling.
“I actually lived in Richmond for three years so was eager to go back and stay at the "Omni" which always had a great reputation. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed. The room was never made up despite us leaving at 9am and coming back at 4pm. Worse even, the hotel put us on the same floor as a fraternity group which equated to slamming doors until well past 2am.Must say that the manager the next morning was extremely apologetic, but all in all I would probably never stay here again. I hear the Crown Plaza right up the street is a much better option.”

- The rooms were very comfortable and nicely furnished good showers nice staff; nice pool; convenient to shops and restaurants.
- Lighting in bathroom was not bright enough; Starbucks was closed.
“The hotel was beautifully located overlooking the James River and was within walking distance to nearby shops and restaurants. The valet service was quick and staff was friendly. The rooms were beautifully furnished and the pool area was very peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling alone for business or with a family, even a romantic getaway!”

- The view from our room was breathtaking at night.
- Parking was a bit expensive.
“Check-in was a breeze. Again, the staff was pleasant and attentive. Before they realized that we were familiar with the city, they gave my boyfriend and I an overview of what the local attractions were. The room was beautiful. It was clean and spacious. The bathroom was also surprisingly roomy and our view was gorgeous. There were no shortage of towels and personal toilettries. The hotel offered in-room new release movies and Nintendo 64 games (an excellent idea if you're traveling with children). I must admit, parking was pricey. Valet parking was $19/day and self-parking was $21/day. Since there was no where to park outside of the hotel, we had to use the facilities. The hotel is relatively quiet with the exception of doors slamming and the cleaning staff knocking on doors and offering to clean rooms. My boyfriend had an incident with the staff in the hotel's gift shop. When asked where once can purchase a beverage (soft drink or bottle of water) he was met with blatant rudeness and annoyance. Other than the above mentioned critiques, our stay was a pleasant one. Check-out was as efficient as checking-in. We would definitely stay at the Omni Richmond Hotel again in the future.”

- The room was great.
- The pool area was disgusting. It looked like the floors had never been cleaned. There was hair, dirt, and leaves everywhere.
“Our overall stay was nice. It was a great location. Many restaurants and bars were within walking distance. I was very disappointed that there was not a hot tub and that the pool area was as dirty as it was. A hotel manager even walked through the area while we were in the pool and ignored the very obvious mess.”

The bathroom had very inadequate shelf space. They should have a real desk chair - wheels, swivel, etc. To access the outlet for my computer I had to crawl under the desk.”

“My good experience with this hotel began with the valet parking. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service and general professionalism shown by the valet immediately upon arriving. Front desk check-in was again very warm and professional in every way. Room was very clean, room-service was fast and delicious. Housekeeping service was perfect. Shower was devine, bed exceedingly comfortable. I got better directions from valet than Map Quest could provide. Overall wonderful stay- would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Richmond.”

“This was the second trip to the Richmond and the city really changed the past 10 years, especially Shokoe Slip area. It was not as fun as we remembered and not very kid friendly. The Children's Museum was great fun. The Science Museum is too expensive! Had to drive a long way to get to a family restaurant. Next time its back to Baltimore.”

“Check-in staff was somewhat "curt" upon our arrival and put us in a very small end room on a top floor, though the hotel was not crowded. The room had only one double bed, one chair and a desk and looked about 1/2 the size of a normal room on that floor (we looked in several the maids were cleaning the next morning).”

“Omni Richmont caters to both vacationers and business people with an enthusiastic, helpful and friendly staff. Food service department needs to apply themselves as much as the desk, front door, housekeeping personnel.”

- The room was relaxing and comfortable.
- The valet parking was expensive.
“This hotel was amazing. the room was great! My boyfriend and I stayed there on a drive from New Hampshire to California and it was a really relaxing and comfortable stop away from home. We also ordered room service which was both affordable and superb. The only set back to this hotel was parking. There is no parking around or near the hotel so you must do valet parking or pay to park in the parking structure downstairs. there was only a dollar difference between the two, but they were both very expensive.”

- The people were very helpful.
- The beds don't use fitted sheets. Nice bed, crappy linens.
“The people couldn't have been nicer and the location of the building is great. The beds are nice but they don't use fitted bottom sheets and they were too short to keep tucked in. Minus the bed coming undone, this was a great hotel.”

- The bathroom was a very good size.
- It did not offer cable channels like Disney or Nickelodeon which my children enjoy watching.
“Our experience with this hotel was very good. The staff at the desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was very elegant and clean. We had a great view of the city. The location was easily accessible. Overall, we were very pleased with the Omni Richmond and would stay there again.”

- The staff was genuinely friendly and extra helpful.
- Nothing!
“We were truly surprised by the genuine friendliness of every staff member that we met. Our daughter is studying American history and the staff gave us excellent suggestions for attractions that would meet her goals. They were also concerned about our personal safety and warned us about various areas to avoid after dark.”
