- The room was great.
- The pool area was disgusting. It looked like the floors had never been cleaned. There was hair, dirt, and leaves everywhere.
“Our overall stay was nice. It was a great location. Many restaurants and bars were within walking distance. I was very disappointed that there was not a hot tub and that the pool area was as dirty as it was. A hotel manager even walked through the area while we were in the pool and ignored the very obvious mess.”

- Cramped room; air vent blows on seating area; poor desk chair.
“Our room was unsatisfactory. The chair for watching TV was directly in front of the ac vent and could not be moved because the room was small. The comforter was far too heavy for the time of year. The bathroom had very inadequate shelf space. They should have a real desk chair - wheels, swivel, etc. To access the outlet for my computer I had to crawl under the desk.”

- We were able to upgrade our room due to a coupon we had, with no problem.
- Usage of the workout facility would be an additional fee.

- Outstanding service - staff was incredibly professional and eager to please.
- Can't think of a thing.
“My good experience with this hotel began with the valet parking. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service and general professionalism shown by the valet immediately upon arriving. Front desk check-in was again very warm and professional in every way. Room was very clean, room-service was fast and delicious. Housekeeping service was perfect. Shower was devine, bed exceedingly comfortable. I got better directions from valet than Map Quest could provide. Overall wonderful stay- would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Richmond.”

- Kids loved the pool, 1 room service breakfast fed 3 people.
- Concierge didn't really know much.
“This was the second trip to the Richmond and the city really changed the past 10 years, especially Shokoe Slip area. It was not as fun as we remembered and not very kid friendly. The Children's Museum was great fun. The Science Museum is too expensive! Had to drive a long way to get to a family restaurant. Next time its back to Baltimore.”

- The location was ideal and the price was unbeatable.
- The beds were not very comfortable for a 4star hotel.
“The two negatives of this hotel: the bed was very uncomfortable and the price of parking was high. Other than that, the hotel itself was beautiful. We had a great view of surrounding Richmond, and the hotel was in a great location. There were great restaurants and bars located within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to a longer trip to Richmond.”

- The room decor left something to be desired and only one elevator worked.
“This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The room decor was not the best. The shower dripped constantly and would not shut off. Only one elevator worked and the staff seemed oblivious to that fact. Other than that it was good for the one night that I needed to stay there.”

“Check-in staff was somewhat "curt" upon our arrival and put us in a very small end room on a top floor, though the hotel was not crowded. The room had only one double bed, one chair and a desk and looked about 1/2 the size of a normal room on that floor (we looked in several the maids were cleaning the next morning).”

“This hotel was amazing. the room was great! My boyfriend and I stayed there on a drive from New Hampshire to California and it was a really relaxing and comfortable stop away from home. We also ordered room service which was both affordable and superb. The only set back to this hotel was parking. There is no parking around or near the hotel so you must do valet parking or pay to park in the parking structure downstairs. there was only a dollar difference between the two, but they were both very expensive.”

Our daughter is studying American history and the staff gave us excellent suggestions for attractions that would meet her goals. - The friendliness and courteousness of the staff was wonderful; the spaciousness and common area decor was delightful.

- The entire staff had a remarkable attitude to please the customer.

- This hotel was convenient to night life restaurants and pubs.
- The hotel staff was neither informative nor helpful. Amenities were not what were expected of a 4 star hotel.
“The Omni hotel, Richmond was a disappointment. For a 4 star hotel, I would expect better treatment by hotel staff. They were not informative. Extra amenities were not provided and everything was an extra expense, including parking at up to $20.00 extra per day. We will not stay here on our next trip to Richmond.”

- Very relaxing atmosphere in good location.
- Use to say 100 % of staff was excellent. Found a few this time with a real "do I care?" attitude. Hate 95 cent calls!

We arrived back from a meeting after 11:30 pm starving and no place within walking distance was serving a dinner menu and room service had ended at 11pm.”

- The view from the room was terrific looking out over city.
- The indoor swimming pool area had no locker room or sauna.

- Entire staff was top notch.
- Pool and surrounding deck were in need of cleaning and repairs.
“I had a delightful two night stay. I was in town for a concert at toad's place and the location could not have been better! It was just a short walk, and even as a solo traveler I felt comfortable in the area at night. The staff at omni Richmond extended excellent customer service. Only drawback was the pool was dirty and the pool deck tiles in need of repair. However, I received a personal response from the director of engineering who advises that area of the hotel will be upgraded. I will definitely return.”

- At the beginning of our stay, it was romantic.
- Being woken up between 12-4 am to very noisy neighbors/kids.
“We chose this hotel because we spend our anniversary each year there. Last year we had a great experience, this year. We had constant doors slamming, running up and down the halls; kids messing with our hotel room door with their keys all happening between 12-4 am! What bothered us was that this was supposed to be a romantic anniversary getaway, only to be ruined by kids whose parents didn't know what their kids were up to at all hours. What a shame.”

“I got the room with no view (3rd floor overlooking all the air conditioning units). Oh well I had a pleasant stay in the very nice hotel overall.”
