“My business involves a lot of traveling and I must have stayed in over 200 hotels so far in my life. This hotel in my opinion does not fit a 2.5 star and may not even a 2 star. I was very disappointed with the Hotel's gym (this is probably one of the features of the hotel that gives it the 0.5* above others). The gym was in the same room as where the laundry is set. The gym portion comprised of 3 very old exercise equipments: 1 Stair master, 1 treadmill and a bicycle, all of them at least 10 to 15 years old. The treadmill had major issues with skipping and it almost threw me off. I later noticed there was a sign saying 'not in service' on the floor. The room was also very messy and smelled like laundry detergent. I told the hotel staff about the treadmill and the danger of liability if someone falls off it, and the gentleman behind the counter just simply nodded with no apologies or even concern. I hope they took care of the issue. I personally will never go there again.” Aug 27, 2009 by

“OK rooms, odd location, great staff” Sep 29, 2008 by

“I stayed there for over a month, so I got to experience all that this place has. My room was clean. The bed was comfy, and all of the appliances work well. There's a dishwasher, a full-sized fridge, a range, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a toaster. The hot water was hot, and the AC was cool. The shower had good water pressure. There was a small desk with a nice office chair. The room was really comfortable. There was free printing in the lobby and they have some toiletries at the front desk in case you forgot to bring shaving cream or something. They say that there was a continental breakfast. For a while I saw bagels, and at first there was fruit. When I asked where the fruit went, the guy at the desk said something about them not being satisfied with their supplier. I haven't seen bagels out for quite some time, so I can't rely upon the breakfast. The coffee was always ready, so at least there's that. There was a pool, but it's been covered since mid-August. Not that I could use it when it was available, because it was only open certain hours, when I was at work. If it was light until after 9PM and its 90+ degrees outside. A week after I got here, they raised the prices for the washer/dryer. $3 per load was a little steep. The service was not good. The person who works most days had kind of a surly, impatient air about him. When I call on him for something, I get the feeling that I am wasting his time. At night there was an old lady who locks the front door and takes forever to do anything. Not all of the service was bad; there was a Latino man who sometimes works at night and was really nice. My toilet had zero flush power. I clog it every time.” Jul 8, 2008 by

“This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The microwave didn't work. The dishes were all dirty and there were still dirty ones in the dishwasher and the cabinets. The room smelled disgusting, yes we had a smoking room but it did not smell like cigarettes.” Apr 6, 2008 by
Jeremy from Columbia, SC
“A superbly located hotel for business travelers, the staff was professional and went out of their way to accommodate my trip.” Mar 23, 2008 by

“Very nice for the money. A little out of the way.” Jul 23, 2007 by

“If you're needs are minimal - a quiet place to sleep between days and internet, which you have to pay extra - ESD Chantilly is ok, not exceptional. The fact that I paid for a reservation they couldn't find at 9:30p for near a half hour was, frankly, amateur and definitely two star quality or below. But, again, the facility was nice enough. They had a pool. They had a fitness room, sort of. Don't stay here looking for Courtyard Marriot quality or Crowne Plaza service, but a clean, quiet, room is definitely to be had here.” Jun 23, 2007 by
Mike from Bakersfield, CA
“Neat, clean rooms suitable more for longer stays than for an overnight.” Jun 3, 2007 by
Jason from Lompoc, CA
“I stayed at this hotel with my spouse and three minor children (all under the age of 10) over Memorial Day weekend 2007. I had rented two rooms. Hotel was reasonably quiet. No interconnecting doors between rooms, which mean my children, had to utilize the hallway to go between their parent's room and their room. Complimentary breakfast was a bit disappointing. Just bagels and coffee. Kitchenettes in rooms fully appointed with cutlery and cookware. Nice pool out back, with a dedicated lifeguard. Rooms were nice, clean, and modern. Wireless Internet access provided for a fee. Very short drive to Dulles Int'l and I-66; probably about 45 mines from downtown DC if the traffic's good. Hotel staff, especially the manager, was professional, very friendly, and very courteous. Made me feel like a valuable customer. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.” May 10, 2007 by
Kathy from Mt Vernon, NY

“Again: the hotel chantilly met expectations.” Mar 13, 2007 by

“Good size room - decent shower and bath - did not use the kitchen, but seemed adequate. Their breakfast was bad - coffee was watered down - location only OK .” Mar 12, 2007 by
Neale from Horseheads, NY
“My experience here was mixed. I liked the full kitchen option of an extended stay; however, the entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke; there are no common areas to speak of; the complementary breakfast was extremely lame - a true "continental" - just bagels, butter, coffee. No juice, no fruit, no toast...and no cream cheese ! Also, I did not get daily maid service, but I did not specifically request it. Does it cost extra ? Not sure. More than anything, the location was not good for me. It put me on the wrong side of traffic pattern. The Dulles" area is entirely too large due to the extremely heavy traffic in this area. It should be sub-divided into 2 or 3 more logical regions.” Dec 14, 2006 by
Suzanne from Memphis, TN
“This hotel was too far from dulles. I expect free transportation to and from a hotel, and it was $40.00 round trip for cab transportation. That is way too expensive. Also, there were no restaurants within walking distance. The front desk had menus to order delivery, but the staff was not particularly helpful. One employee kept taking about how he is "looking for another job".” Dec 10, 2006 by
Aaron from Gainesville, VA
“Wi-Fi should be free in this market.” Nov 1, 2006 by
Joseph from Pleasant Grove, UT
“The man at the desk was a young man who talked on the phone with friends all of the time I was trying to get helps. He also wore a dirty sweater with the hotel logo on it. I was given a smoking room that I had to air out by leaving the door and window open and the bathroom fan on. When it was time to sleep the room still reeked of smoke. I noticed that the toilet seat had not been cleaned and when I mentioned it to the man at the desk he replied that the cleaning staff wouldn't be back until the next morning. When I insisted he said he could clean it in an hour. I left and when I came back a failed attempt had been made to clean the seat but the cleaning water was still on the floor. I had to walk a quarter of a mile to go to another hotel's shuttle to the airport. Because of airline problems I had to stay another night and although it was almost impossible to find a room I did not even consider calling this hotel.” Oct 20, 2006 by
Ginny from St. Louis Park, MN
“Kitchen is pretty much bare minimum of being stocked. No ice in ice cube trays.” Oct 18, 2006 by
Dale from Waynesboro, VA
“I travel with my work and can't afford to pay a lot but I want to stay in a clean place that is not too expensive. This hotel fit what I needed.” May 26, 2006 by
Karen from Colorado Springs, CO
“I was very disappointed in my stay. I was given a handicapped room, which does not fit my request. No ice machine. Trays in frig. were empty. Very small room for a suite.” May 22, 2006 by
Keith from Roanoke, VA
“Although the hotel is small, the room was more than adequate and the staff were always courteous, friendly, and helpful. It was a good stay, affordable and I would likely consider staying there in the future.” May 19, 2006 by
Terrence from Eastpoint, GA
“Variable check ins for people working nights.” May 9, 2006 by

“I thought that front desk personnel were very accommodating. Room was quiet and everything worked, lights, etc. Nice kitchen facilities.”
