- Helpful staff.
- No maid service; trash strewn about and no cleanup.
“This is a place for long-term stay, not for a short, 2-3 night stay. There were many transients staying there, using it like a low-rent apt. Signs indicated thefts were common. Maid service is limited to 1x/week. Walkways, staircases, etc., were strewn with trash. Room had no towels. No elevator: I had to carry heavy bags upstairs. Very disappointing.”

- Good price & location.
- No breakfast, outside entrances.
“Basically a good budget choice. Conveniently located, though tucked away in a corner and hard to find if you didn't know it was there. Room better maintained than last time I was there. Rooms are efficiency-style with small kitchen. Lobby very small but adequate. Only bad news is outside entrances and no breakfast, though there are restaurants nearby. A good budget choice in chantilly area.”

- Check out time at 11am.
“This hotel is great for someone who wants a decent place but cannot afford a 5-star hotel. Facilities for preparing meals is good for those of us who cannot afford eating out all the time and who did not want junk food. Sunday Bwanhot.”

- There is absolutely nothing I liked about this hotel.
- Filthy, dirty, unkempt grounds, none available on the premises to correct problems, scary looking people loitering around.
“I have never been so furious having to book a hotel (suite) and walked into what looked like a party hotel by the beach. Everything needs to be updated, or better yet, bulldozed and start ed all over. I wonder if the franchise knows about this disgusting place?”

- There is nothing to like it is a 1 star hotel. The price is right as all hotels in this area are over priced.
- The cable TV network is very limited.

“Usually, Homestead Suites are very nice. This particular facility has gotten worse every time I have stayed there. The first room I was given had a wet carpet from a leaking AC unit. The AC was off but the fan was on which makes me think that someone knew that there was a problem. The room smelled bad. I complained and was given another room. This room was certainly better but was not properly cleaned. The grout in the bath tube was mildewed - about 25% of the grout was black. The pots and pans were stained and didn't look clean. I didn't want to change rooms again so I went out and bought cleaner and cleaned it up myself. I didn't clean the floor tile which also looked pretty bad. I was there for 4 nights and no one ever checked the room. Usually this type of facility checks the room every 2 to 3 days to make sure there are fresh towels, etc. Oh, there was one pack of coffee but no sugar or creamer. There was no shampoo but there were 2 bars of soap.”

- Location is prime for the area.
- The Staff is less than helpful.
“While the hotel itself met my needs, the staff was somewhat non-existent and difficult to track down. Halfway through my stay, they decided to move my room and moved me to a handicap "able" room that lacked many of the amenities my "normal" room had. While the price was right, this is definitely a case of you get what you paid for. Luckily, I did not pay anywhere near full price.”

- Bed to hard ¿ partially off frame.
“I am a 64 year (May 28th) old lady and was on crutches and no one offered to help me unload or load my bags. It took 3 trips to room to get key card to work. Staff said previous guest had to be locked out. They were insulting my intelligence as the key card lock is totally controlled from the front desk controller. Cleaning crew did not clean corners of room nor under chairs. During the past 38 years I have traveled Europe, the Middle and Far East, and south America and have never been treated the was I was at the Chantilly Homestead Inn. The room was booked and paid for by a dear old friend, Mr. Perez Sheikh, and I know he is a unhappy with the way the facility was run as I am. - Good room lighting.
- The room could use a thorough cleaning, i.e.., wiping cupboards, baseboards, getting rid of rust stains under the toilet.
“I like the spaciousness of the room but the housekeeping standard was below expectation, getting rid of hand prints, dirt and rust stains would improve the standard of the room. The room needed to be cleaned thoroughly.”

“The extra $35 on a taxi to get to and from the airport. No shampoo. A typical "suite" type hotel, which is great, except there were no dishes to use! The curtains were too small to cover the window, which face out onto the walkway adjacent to the room door (no interior hallway access to rooms). Not worth the savings.”

“This was sub-par ---way under one star---the kind of room you don't go barefoot in and consider wearing your undies to bed---bugs in bathroom, the ones I saw---sink dirty--trash from previous tenant in cans--bathroom door broken so wouldn't shut---lightbulbs needed replacing--dishes dirty and no washing liquid---nasty”

- nice compact suite, on site laundry
- during a 7 night stay, not a single change of towels or bedding
“Hmestead suites are a great for more than a single night stay, well equipped, (nice fridge), on site launderette facilities. Wireless internet access varies between hotels (this one didn't have it). Homestead are a great place for the business traveler”

“I had to change rooms upon check in because of a cock roach problem. The second room had not been cleaned recently and there were spiders and dirt in the bathroom. There was a desk, but no desk chair.”
