• Very nice, great location for business needs and it's a Marriott, no smoking.
• Poor quality TV in comparison to other Marriotts I stayed, and this Marriott seems to have high quality, but did not reflect it with the TV.

“Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Cell coverage in that location (Sprint) is bad. They do offer a good deal on internet access however, which includes unlimited local and long distance calls.”

• Cleanliness & comfort of the rooms is important to me. And, the staff was also so friendly, which means a lot.
• I can't think of anything I didn't like.

“Though this hotel is tucked in a business park setting and not on the nearby main road right 28, which made it a little tricky to find. It is a very fine hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful with directions. The rooms are very clean and quite comfortable.”

• The beds! Big fluffy comforters, pillow top mattress and 5 fluffy pillows made sleeping dreamy. Very nice room.
• Cell phone reception was poor in this area - not really hotels fault. No wireless in room only in lobby.

“This is a gorgeous hotel with all the amenities. Beautiful location - well decorated throughout. Rooms are beautiful and the beds with big fluffy comforters, pillow top mattress and 5 fluffy pillows made sleeping dreamy. Two pools (indoor and outdoor) make for wonderful relaxation. Well equipped fitness room. Great business center. All areas are staffed with very nice staffers ready to help and support you. Restaurants have first class service. Very close to Dulles. Will definitely stay there again!”

• Everything, this hotel is easily a 5 star hotel.

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Westfield Marriott. This hotel is breathtaking and huge. The public areas are very large and spacious and very well kept. The hotel staff is very friendly and I did not encounter one person who didn't have a smile on their face and was welling to help if you needed help. Westfield Marriott is a very luxurious hotel, very spacious, extremely clean, and a very peaceful, safe, atmosphere. It is located close to major shopping centers, Dulles Airport, Washington, D.C. We could not have asked for more in a hotel. We will definitely stay at Westfield Marriott again. To describe this place in one word - Wow!”

• That I had to pay for transportation to and from the airport.

“Ok food, poor customer service as far as transportation to and from the airport. Do not like being upgraded to a hotel with hidden expenses. Chantilly should not be included in the Dulles zone it is further than sterling.”

• Atmosphere and Setting (beautiful scenery).
• No wireless access!

“The hotel was beautiful, quiet, and safe. The scenery (Virginia woods) was wonderful. There were quite a few events at the hotel over the weekend that we were there, which didn't bother us much. Unfortunately, the one real complaint that we have is that our cell phones wouldn't work anywhere in the hotel, and that we had to pay for wireless internet access, which the website claims is free in the lobby.”

• Hard to get rest.

“This is a nice hotel, but not for the business traveler that needs to get rest at night. The staff is always bustling about delivering room service, cleaning rooms early in the morning and late at night, also the walls are thin. Also unless you want to use their concierge service, you have to park several hundred yards from the entrance.”

• Smoke free, provided local area maps, friendly staff at all hours, felt like we stayed in a castle!
• Parking lots were a good walking distance when full.

“We were treated to a 5 star / 5 diamond hotel on our merger motor court budget. It was a pleasure to just lounge around and relax for a while after seeing all the DC sights. Our teenage boys used and enjoyed the amenities as well as we did. I was even so impressed with the decor that the Hope Diamond could have been displayed there instead of the Smithsonian.”

• Attention to guests and professionalism. Quiet environment, services appropriate to my travel.
• Internet access should be a complimentary service. Wireless access should be available in rooms.

“This is an outstanding hotel rich with comforts for any traveler, business or leisure. The hotel is conveniently located in the area while providing a secluded area that eliminates noise from traffic and built-up areas. It's a great stay that I'd highly recommend.”

• The employees are very professional and greet you with nice words.
• They have their own transportation, but they charge you each way to the airport.

“The location is not accessible, almost in the middle of a forest! Very pretty, but no restaurants in the area! Although the hotel is only 15 minutes from the airport, the charges to the transportation was costly!”

• The decor of the Hotel inside and out.
• They charge $15.00 for trans to and from the airport.

“Overall, the hotel was worth the price. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would say the hotel was geared more towards the business traveler. The room was clean, and beds extremely comfortable. Very nice Spa and workout Room. 2 pools, 1 indoor and one outdoor. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Hotel was very far away from where my conference was. Parking was very far away from my actual room.

“Hotel was clean and fine for me needs. Workout facilities were excellent; ten times the amount of equipment that I've ever seen at any hotel. There were indoor and out door pools as wells as tennis courts. It was very far from my conference in Reston, when you add in the traffic at 7:30am and 5:30pm. It took 45 minutes to go 13 miles. Also, the self-parking was quite far from where my actual room was. There is no continental breakfast and they charge 9.95/day for internet.”

• The hotel feels like it's an Ivy League college campus.
• Lack of non-hotel amenities within walking distance.

“The Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles Hotel and Conference Center is so beautiful, that a guest feels like he or she is on the campus of an Ivy League college. Despite the very low rate I was paying, all employees treated me with courtesy and respect.”

“Transportation at this hotel is awful. They do not offer a free shuttle to airport and their transportation desk has rude and unhelpful staff. I requested a cab and it was not called for me. I will never stay at this hotel again because their transportation department is a joke. An expensive 4-star hotel like this must have free shuttle to local airport and near by restaurants.”

“Looks like a fine old resort. Tucked away in the trees in the middle of a large business park. Dark bar with food. Nice workout room and indoor and outdoor pools. Nothing within walking distance to eat, to shop and sightsee. Definitely need a car. Airport shuttle is not free, $15 per person each way. Must have reservation to ride.”

• Parking is very far off from the hotel.

“Hotel staff is eager to please, always with a friendly greeting and a smile. Rooms are excellent quality with very comfortable bedding. Only 2 small things that were negative about the entire place, the parking lot is quite far off from the hotel and the television in the room is quite small.”

• Parking was a little far. I was traveling with a Senior Citizen.

“I loved being away from all of the noise and it was very close to the rail system so it made travel really easy. It is close to several communities, so we did a lot of site seeing away from Washington. I would definitely stay again.”

• The hotel was very beautiful and the rooms were very nice with comfortable beds.
• No free airport shuttle.

“Since this hotel fell under the category of airport hotel I assumed that there would be a free airport shuttle. I travel a lot for work and have never stayed in a so called airport hotel location that did not provide this service. They had a shuttle but charged a fee of $15 each way, which basically added $30 to the price of the room. I think that when business travelers are looking to stay near the airport that is something that is expected.”

• Room accommodations were exceptional.
• We inadvertently parked in a wrong area overnight and were corrected by the parking valet person in the morning. Wish we had learned of it on arrival.

• This is a beautiful hotel.
• Long walk from parking to the front door, charges for Internet access.

“The Westfield's Marriott is a beautiful hotel just a short distance but hidden from the main highway. You will love the upgraded amenities. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The buffet breakfast is superb, through a bit pricy. Great relaxation when on business travel but be sure to bring your spouse if possible!”

• The amenities and services available in the hotel are superb.
• The location is a bit off the beaten path but worth the trip.

“Be treated like royalty! The Westfield's Marriott is probably the best hotel in the overall DC metro area. I have stayed here several times over the past ten years and the service consistently gets better and better with each visit. The hotel staff from the front desk to the valet staff is phenomenal. This is a great hotel whether traveling for business or pleasure with a family.”
