“This was one of the finest hotel stays I have ever experienced. A luxury hotel with friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Spa, pools (both indoor and outdoor), excellent media patch board in room. HD flat screen TV, marble baths. A most comfortable experience. I highly recommend the Westfield Marriott.”

“The room had a great flat screen TV with HD. The bathroom had a second sink outside the tub area with a magnifying mirror for makeup, but the light was so poor, I couldn't use it. Room service pizza was late and burned, but they took off the charge.”

- TV seemed to be slightly on the fritz but was probably due to bad weather (i.e. satellite).

- Staff was wonderful and cooperative. The hotel was private and secure. Grounds were lovely.
- Poor signage. Shower/bath bottom too slippery, that should not happen.

- The hotel is clean and the staff is courteous.
- We were given a room way at the back of the hotel. It took us ten minuets to walk there. We were told this was a king bed, it was not.
“They moved us into a 2nd room, which also was supposed to be a king bed. It still was not. The reception clerk was clueless about it. She kept saying it was a king, but it was not. No coffee in my room, only tea. Not happy about that. Had to get dressed to walk to the cafe to get one. Got all the way down there and it was closed and the restaurant wasn't open either. The time was 10:37. The cafe closed at 10:30 and the restaurant was supposed to open at 10:30, it was not. So I ended up not having any coffee at all as I was preparing to check out. This was supposed to b a romantic getaway for my husband and my quarterly 'date night', we thought by paying the extra we would experience more than other hotels that we've visited but we experienced the opposite. Wish we had gone to the Embassy Suites at Dulles. They have beautiful rooms, microwave and fridge, separate bedrooms with real King size beds and free coffee and breakfast. Marriott strikes me as very cheap on anything remotely extra. And we had to pay $22.00 for valet parking! That's horrible in my opinion. We will not be returning or using Marriott hotels in the future.”

- Shuttle from airport was helpful and well-priced.
- Too inconvenient for shopping and dining.
“Nice facility. My coffee maker did not have any coffee on the first day. Also, I was not provided with one of those doorknob hang tags for an early morning breakfast order on the first day. What I ended up ordering off of the room service menu was comparable but much more expensive. The beds were comfortable. My room was very far from the elevator why do they design hotels like that?”

- Good off-airport location, close to Dulles Airport.
- I'm whining, but the parking lot was 200 yards from the hotel (the rain made a bit uncomfortable).
“We arrived at this hotel on Sunday in early December. It is located about 25 miles from Washington DC and about 7 miles to Dulles airport, both were easy to get to from the hotel. The hotel is set in a nice area off the freeway and away from the airport. The onsite restaurant (an Irish pub) had pool tables was cozy. The hotel was very quiet the night we stayed as there weren't many guests. This was quite nice. The staff was friendly and the hotel offered many nice conveniences (computer to print boarding passes, restaurant/bar, and fitness room).”

- Very nice, great location for business needs and it's a Marriott, no smoking.
- Poor quality TV in comparison to other Marriotts I stayed, and this Marriott seems to have high quality, but did not reflect it with the TV.

- The beds! Big fluffy comforters, pillow top mattress and 5 fluffy pillows made sleeping dreamy. Very nice room.
- Cell phone reception was poor in this area - not really hotels fault. No wireless in room only in lobby.
“This is a gorgeous hotel with all the amenities. Beautiful location - well decorated throughout. Rooms are beautiful and the beds with big fluffy comforters, pillow top mattress and 5 fluffy pillows made sleeping dreamy. Two pools (indoor and outdoor) make for wonderful relaxation. Well equipped fitness room. Great business center. All areas are staffed with very nice staffers ready to help and support you. Restaurants have first class service. Very close to Dulles. Will definitely stay there again!”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Westfield Marriott. This hotel is breathtaking and huge. The public areas are very large and spacious and very well kept. The hotel staff is very friendly and I did not encounter one person who didn't have a smile on their face and was welling to help if you needed help. Westfield Marriott is a very luxurious hotel, very spacious, extremely clean, and a very peaceful, safe, atmosphere. It is located close to major shopping centers, Dulles Airport, Washington, D.C. We could not have asked for more in a hotel. We will definitely stay at Westfield Marriott again. To describe this place in one word - Wow!”

“The hotel was beautiful, quiet, and safe. The scenery (Virginia woods) was wonderful. There were quite a few events at the hotel over the weekend that we were there, which didn't bother us much. Unfortunately, the one real complaint that we have is that our cell phones wouldn't work anywhere in the hotel, and that we had to pay for wireless internet access, which the website claims is free in the lobby.”

“This is a nice hotel, but not for the business traveler that needs to get rest at night. The staff is always bustling about delivering room service, cleaning rooms early in the morning and late at night, also the walls are thin. - Parking lots were a good walking distance when full.
“We were treated to a 5 star / 5 diamond hotel on our merger motor court budget. It was a pleasure to just lounge around and relax for a while after seeing all the DC sights. Our teenage boys used and enjoyed the amenities as well as we did. I was even so impressed with the decor that the Hope Diamond could have been displayed there instead of the Smithsonian.”

- The employees are very professional and greet you with nice words.
- They have their own transportation, but they charge you each way to the airport.

“Great hotel, but no complimentary shuttle. Totally inappropriate for business travelers. Hotel does have a shuttle at limited times but charges $15.00 each way. Will not be staying there in the future.”

- The registration desk was exceptionally good and friendly.
- The carpet in my room was not in excellent condition.

- The decor of the Hotel inside and out.
- They charge $15.00 for trans to and from the airport.
“Overall, the hotel was worth the price. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would say the hotel was geared more towards the business traveler. The room was clean, and beds extremely comfortable. Very nice Spa and workout Room. 2 pools, 1 indoor and one outdoor. I would definitely stay there again.”

- Hotel was clean, beds comfortable
- Hotel was very far away from where my conference was. Parking was very far away from my actual room.
“Hotel was clean and fine for me needs. Workout facilities were excellent; ten times the amount of equipment that I've ever seen at any hotel. There were indoor and out door pools as wells as tennis courts. It was very far from my conference in Reston, when you add in the traffic at 7:30am and 5:30pm. It took 45 minutes to go 13 miles. Also, the self-parking was quite far from where my actual room was. There is no continental breakfast and they charge 9.95/day for internet.”

- The hotel feels like it's an Ivy League college campus.
- Lack of non-hotel amenities within walking distance.
“The Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles Hotel and Conference Center is so beautiful, that a guest feels like he or she is on the campus of an Ivy League college. Despite the very low rate I was paying, all employees treated me with courtesy and respect.”
