• The king-sized bed was extremely comfortable. Decor was fresh and bright.
• It was a bit hard to find the driveway entrance to this hotel. Not well marked and out of the way.

“I would definitely stay in this hotel again and also tell friends about it. Very clean, comfy and an excellent price for the facility.”

• Even though renovations was going on it was very clean and the location was great for restaurants and nearby sight seeing.
• Each hotel room need a refrigerator and microwave.

• Convenient location, clean, friendly staff, great breakfast.
• Under construction and a little noisy at present. No pool or exercise facilities.

• The furniture and rooms were all old and needed to be replaced.

“This hotel is unlike any other Marriott that I have been to. Even for a Fairfield. I was surprised by the cracks in the doors, chipped paint, musty smells, uncomfortable beds, and overall old appearance. This hotel would be great with some renovations.”

• A covered driveway would have been helpful since it was raining.

• Clean, comfortable room. Convenient location. Quick and easy check-in.
• Small bathroom facilities.

“Conveniently located just off exit 126A of Rt 95. Excellent location for north-south travelers on 95. Hotel is within walking distance of about 5 or 6 restaurants and within one mile of about another 20-30 restaurants. Clean room with wireless internet service, facilities. Good, quick complementary breakfast. Excellent value.”

• I loved the comfort of the room, and the location of the pool.

“Outstanding stay! Where in the world can you get to stay at a Fairfield Inn my Marriott for such an inexpensive rate? Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, amenities were superb, and room and public areas were immaculate. Breakfast was outstanding!”

• The continental breakfast was well presented. Food fresh, staff was nice.
• Hotel under construction and very dusty. Plastic runners on floor dirty. Bad smell.

“I would not recommend this hotel in its' present condition. Perhaps once renovations are finished it will be more enjoyable. Rooms were not fresh smelling. Hallways dusty and unsightly.”

“Very clean room and common areas, great service from a very friendly staff. Restaurants nearby, however for late night there is only one vending machine in entire hotel. Otherwise excellent facility for the price with a very convenient location.”

• I thought they had a waffle maker for breakfast, no waffle maker however still a high quality breakfast.
• No waffle maker, pool was nasty, room was not ready at 3 p.m. even though I was there at 11 a.m.

• I did like the room as I first saw it, and the hotel seemed newer.
• I disliked the morning /overnight staff person. She was very rude.

“At first this hotel seemed new as I expected and it looked very clean. When my wife and I walked into the room, it also seemed very clean until we used the bathroom several hours later in our room. The bathroom smelled of urine, and seemed generally unclean. We also noticed that the A/C was not working very well, and failed to blow out any cold air. When my wife and I checked out the next day, I simply explained the room's problems to the night/morning counter person. This night counter person explained that the rooms were in the process of being remodeled. I asked her if this made a difference, and she just ignored my question and tried to send me off. I was just about to leave when my wife reminded me that I needed a final bill statement from a credit card that had been swiped from the prior nights check in by the counter staff.”

• Hotel would not give me a copy of my receipt.

• Poor attitude of front desk staff.

“Rooms are large and comfortable. Bathroom is sparse with poor lighting, plastic liner for shower curtain and minimal toiletries. Continental breakfast buffet is decent. Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate available in lobby is a nice feature. The hotel only has two cots, which were not available at check in. I complained to the desk staff regarding the lack of cots, as did other customers. The front desk staff was unfriendly both on the telephone prior to my arrival and upon check in and check out.”

• Staff were very friendly and pleasant, they had many options at continental breakfast, had a workout room.
• HBO, the only channel we wanted to watch, was the only one that did not have volume.

“For simple, affordable, clean accommodations visit the Fairfield Marriott. Although not romantic or quaint, it is pleasant.”

• It had a nice small inside pool and nice breakfast.

“The hotel was conveniently located, had a small indoor pool, and was clean and quite. We were next to the elevator, but never heard it. They serve a hot better than continental breakfast. No complaints here.”

• For us only staying the weekend nights only it was nice.

“Considering we have been staying in the Fredericksburg area on weekend business for 6 years this is by far the best and nicest hotel for the money. Easy access to rt 95 and the continental breakfast with waffles a plus. The budget hotels in the area which are dumps usually want more money for their rooms. ”

“This is my second stay at this facility. While the accommodations are adequate, my stay was not good in terms of getting needed rest. Some of the housekeeping staff finds it necessary to make as much noise as possible while cleaning empty rooms. Although I display the do not disturb sign on my door, certain staff members would slam doors around me while cleaning rooms. In my experience in travel, I usually find that this is an attempt to get late sleepers up and out of their rooms, so that access can be had to occupied rooms as early as possible. I usually do not require room service, perhaps other late sleepers do, but for whatever reason the noise occurs, it is unacceptable. Instead, I have booked my own room, and have actually done well with having my needs met.”

• I liked leaving this hotel, that is the only thing I liked.
• Hotel staff very UNfriendly, rude, and not very helpful

“This hotel has a great location and appearance. The hotel staff were very unfriendly, rude, and demeaning. The staff wasn't helpful or friendly. This is the 2nd time I have been to this hotel and it's the second time it has been a huge disapointment. I give every hotel 2 shots and I will never return to this establishment again. In my opinion this hotel would embarass the marriott name. I am a marriott consumer and I have stayed at many marriott hotels, and I have never been to a hotel like this and I will NEVER return.”

• The hotel was convenient to I95 and my chidren.
• The night time staff was not friendly

“I like town place better. The rooms were bigger and a cheaper price. I was very disappointed in the size, the amount of towels in the room. I was also disappointed at check in. The staff was so disappointed - they had a bad attitude.”
