• It had a refrigerator in the room.
• Room was too small for 2 unrelated people.

“Good for the business traveler. Not so hot for two friends staying together. Bath area was too small. Designed for the single male business person. Things were too tall for a short woman.”

• This hotel has fabulous rooms for the price. The 42" plasma screen TV was nice!
• The bathroom was a little small.

“This hotel was in the final stages of renovation. The rooms were completed and very impressive. I would rather stay here than a four or five star hotel. The location is great. I will be back!”

• The cleanliness and the room decor were excellent.
• They charged me my credit card for the room.

• I feel that the hotel was excellent, and the room that I stayed in was awesome.
• There was nothing that I could say badly about this hotel.

• The room was very modern, clean, and had a great big screen TV! I loved that it was nonsmoking in the whole hotel.
• Served crappy Maxwell house coffee for breakfast.

“This was an excellent hotel for a business traveler, but it would also work well for a family because of the pull out sofa bed separated from the queen size bed. It wasn't necessarily romantic, but I don't think most hotels are. The free wireless internet is a huge bonus. My only complaint was that the breakfast, although free, was not great. The food was decent but I almost expected a bit more than cereals, pastries and hard boiled eggs. The coffee was horrible. I would definitely stay there again.”

• The roof didn't leak. Everything else s-u-c-K-e-d!
• Horrible smells everywhere. Ripped carpet. Hard beds. Incompetent staff and bad food.

“If you want to pay top dollar for a hotel that's on a par with the worst super 8 in existence, this is your place. Come smell our awful stench. Rest leisurely on our rock hard moldy beds. If you can wake them up, get slow service from our incompetent staff. Then top it all off with some rotten bread and stale jam for breakfast. Be putrefied at the amerisuites!”

• Modern, clean, corn beef hash & hot breakfast.
• None.

“We just stayed 1 night, Sept. 29,06 on our way to Florida, the hotel was Heaven sent, I didn't want to leave, it was that nice !! The breakfast was very good , eggs and corn beef hash, bacon, waffles, etc. The hotel was clean, clean, clean, the staff was polite and treated us as guests, not pests. I hope to stay there again on our northward journey home. They even had a discount coupon in the Virginia travel book which we used.”

• The staff was friendly and helpful.
• The bathroom was not very clean, mold and mildew in corners of shower.

“The Hotel was clean in the lobby, the room for the most part was clean. The Maintenance crew could watch for mold and mildew in the shower.”

• Restaurant staff messed up food order; mine as well as others at the hotel.

“Overall, a good experience. A bit difficult to find due to location and new construction but worth figuring out how to get to drive. Clean, quiet, room nice. Restaurant in hotel made consistent errors with orders for dinner while I was there, with myself as well as another diner (ordered salads which never came; I canceled mine but other diner requested with meal. Commented to me that it wasn't worth waiting for and he should have canceled.) My dinner however was fine.”

• Nice common areas.
• Mold and maintenance problems, terrible TV or cable selection or reception.

“Absolutely the "Hotel From Hell"!!, 1st room the toilet was Broken off in the floor (upon arrival), then they tried to move me to a room that had mold growing up the window curtains!, then moved to a room where the TV stopped working, then moved to another room where the TV stopped working, then moved to a room where the window (double pane glass) seal was broken and the freezing cold air appeared to confuse the heating thermostat (heat would not turn off, so the room was either freezing cold or blazing hot), then moved to a room that was just shabby. Note staff reports that the hotel is due for Renovation in October 2006. I believe this Hotel housed Hurricane Katrina Victims. Although identical, this Amerisuites does not compare in anyway to other Amer suites I have stayed at.”

• I was impressed with the size and conveniences of the mini-suite.
• The bed was too small for 1 adult so me and my wife could not sleep together.

• The Full Breakfast is a great positive.
• No negatives on this trip.

“The Amerisuites hotels are consistently the same this allow a level of comfort in staying. The full breakfast is a large decision in my hotel selection. The staff was incredible. Located on a main street with easy access.”

“The hotel was conveniently located to areas for shopping and dining. It had a great fitness room, and the best was the full breakfast in the morning that was always set up before 7 am. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. I will stay at this hotel again.”
