• Firm but comfy bed. Big screen LCD TV too.
• Dead space in the room between the bed and window.

“Very comfortable, and well worth the price I paid. Only issues I had was the dead (open) space between the bed and the window, and the prices the hotel charges if you want a soda or snack, as you pretty much have to buy it from them rather than a vending machine.”

• Nice big room and king size bed.
• There was nothing that I did not like.

• 4 miles to ocean. Too far to the water.

“This hotel promotes itself as Ocean view, it is a convention center hotel. You could see the ocean from the room,.4 miles away. This is too far to haul baby stuff to the beach. Very disappointing!”

• Found a roach in the bathroom.

“There are too many pre-military people loitering in the hotel lobby. A woman traveler can not feel comfortable walking through the lobby or getting on an elevator.”

• The rooms were very nicely decorated and carpets and bed linens clean.
• Bathrooms seemed like they had not been modernized and were much more worn.

“It was very clean in the room and beds and linens were very nice and pleasant. It had a good family sitting area in the room. The TV is flat screen and fancy but overly large for the room. The bathrooms need an overhaul. The breakfast was nice for continental.”

• I liked that the hotel was newly renovated.
• The pool was not open due to ongoing repairs.

“The people at the front desk were very pleasant and helped make my stay enjoyable. My room was modern with separate living and sleeping areas. Most importantly, I felt safe leaving my valuables in the room while I was out for the day.”

“This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. From the 42" plasma TV with DirecTV, to the nice work area, to the friendly staff, it exceeded our expectations. This hotel made us very happy. Loved the ottoman too. Just the right height and it had wheels to enhance our experience.”

“Overall I was very impressed. The crowd at breakfast was mainly because of a soccer team of young men that arrived at the same time. I was not impressed with the bar where you could purchase additional breakfast items - looked like everything was going to be done in a microwave over.”

• This hotel has fabulous rooms for the price. The 42" plasma screen TV was nice!
• The bathroom was a little small.

“This hotel was in the final stages of renovation. The rooms were completed and very impressive. I would rather stay here than a four or five star hotel. The location is great. I will be back!”

• The room was very modern, clean, and had a great big screen TV! I loved that it was nonsmoking in the whole hotel.
• Served crappy Maxwell house coffee for breakfast.

“This was an excellent hotel for a business traveler, but it would also work well for a family because of the pull out sofa bed separated from the queen size bed. It wasn't necessarily romantic, but I don't think most hotels are. The free wireless internet is a huge bonus. My only complaint was that the breakfast, although free, was not great. The food was decent but I almost expected a bit more than cereals, pastries and hard boiled eggs. The coffee was horrible. I would definitely stay there again.”

• The roof didn't leak. Everything else s-u-c-K-e-d!
• Horrible smells everywhere. Ripped carpet. Hard beds. Incompetent staff and bad food.

“If you want to pay top dollar for a hotel that's on a par with the worst super 8 in existence, this is your place. Come smell our awful stench. Rest leisurely on our rock hard moldy beds. If you can wake them up, get slow service from our incompetent staff. Then top it all off with some rotten bread and stale jam for breakfast. Be putrefied at the amerisuites!”

“We just stayed 1 night, Sept. 29,06 on our way to Florida, the hotel was Heaven sent, I didn't want to leave, it was that nice !! The breakfast was very good , eggs and corn beef hash, bacon, waffles, etc. The hotel was clean, clean, clean, the staff was polite and treated us as guests, not pests. I hope to stay there again on our northward journey home. They even had a discount coupon in the Virginia travel book which we used.”

• Restaurant staff messed up food order; mine as well as others at the hotel.

“Overall, a good experience. A bit difficult to find due to location and new construction but worth figuring out how to get to drive. Clean, quiet, room nice. Restaurant in hotel made consistent errors with orders for dinner while I was there, with myself as well as another diner (ordered salads which never came; I canceled mine but other diner requested with meal. Commented to me that it wasn't worth waiting for and he should have canceled.) My dinner however was fine.”
