• Very nice staff and room, nice and comfortable.

“Arrived and they told me we'd been given an upgrade to a Parlor room. It was huge, big table, sofa, kitchenette, but it only had a full sized Murphy bed. Went back down to the lobby and they were happy to move us to a regular room with two fulls. Everything was spotless, even though it was a busy weekend and they were dealing with crowds. Ate at the lounge and had one of the best burgers I've ever had, especially at midnight. $4.00 a day parking in a nice, secure garage. I would gladly stay again at the Hyatt.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• The walls were thin and with the tattoo convention it was a nightmare!

“The room was at best a 2.5 star due to cutting corners during renovation. When I think of 3.5 to 4 stars I think luxury. This room had mismatched colors as far as door handles, fixtures, fittings, and picture frames. It had a shower head that was too short for me at 5 feet 5 inches in height. The shower felt like you were in a closet because it was very confined. Some paint was chipping off. It still had 1970s ceiling popcorn! I couldn't help but notice since I got no sleep because of the noise coming from the room next to us. I stared at it for a very long time. Because of the tattoo convention there were no other rooms available.”

• Nice rooms the staff overall was ok.
• Food over price. need better handling of accounts.

“Over all everyone was very pleasant. However I paid my stay with part cash and the over portion from my checking debit card. When I check my bank balance the entire amount of the two stay was deducted from my checking account and I had to wait several days to have the money replace in my account. Not very good with the handling of bills.”

“Great hotel! I stayed here last year and was just as happy. They always put you in a room on a high floor so you have a great view of the city and can't hear the street noise. Coffee, tea is always available in the lobby. Only $13 to valet - wow! Rooms are large and beds are comfy - but surprised they don't have screen TVs yet. Didn't experience downtown at all because I loved my room so much!”

• Swimming pool has a lift for disabled people! Thats incredible!
• Cleaners are not too particular. Only one hand basin, two is better. No fridge.

“It is overall very good, apart from the fact that room cleaners were not very fastidious. I am extremely impressed by the lift into the pool but I would like them to get advice about the bedrooms for disabled people. The beds are way too high. I have to be lifted in and that is not cool. It is actually dangerous. It can be easily fixed however, take the beds off the metal base.”

• Stores close early around it.

“Great hotel and great service. Being from Boston I know how expensive valet parking can be, and for 13 dollars I was delighted to let the guys in Red Park my Bentley. I see so many reviews talking about this horrific 13 dollar parking fee. With unlimited ins and outs and friendly valets even though they don't have to be, you should want to do valet. As for the hotel, everyone at the front desk was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the presidential suite is very nice. Overall it was a great stay. The chicken marsala at the Palladio was divine.”

• Friendly to customer.
• Big noise because closing to highway, heating system is not working well.

“Also, it's not in a good location. Downtown area looks not secured, though easy to get to highway. Huge noise from highway 190 to make people hardly sleep.
Heating is not working well, you still feel cold even after several hours.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and upscale in decor, with a great view.
• A refrigerator and microwave were not included. Also, the cable stations were very limited.

“The accommodations were very nice and the bed was luxurious and comfortable. In addition, the staff was very helpful. Overall, my experience was great and I will likely return to the Hyatt Regency when the opportunity arises.”

• Room wasn't up to star level - no toilet paper, no tissues, torn pillowcase.

“The public places were very nice and staff was very friendly. They have a nice fitness room. The cons were with the room. Upon check-in there was no toilet paper or tissues in the room. Had to call housekeeping. The pillowcases had holes.”

• Loved the coffee French press in my room.
• Had an overpowering smell of perfume quite annoying.

“Room was what you could expect from a depressed area out of date hotel, small, bathroom truly cramped and an over powering smell of air fresheners, which would have been fine if it was a French hen house but as it was. Food was ok but pricey. Parking the same. I wouldn't stay here again.”

“Outdated bathrooms with no counter space. Unfriendly and slow staff. Hotel seems to enjoy making sure they charge for extras such as water and parking and then making it difficult to get out of the parking lot. Parking lot was under construction. Staff told me to walk 2 blocks for a cup of coffee when the store in the hotel sold coffee. Internet service is charged per day instead of just being included.”

• Staff was prompt, professional and extremely customer friendly. The room was chic, clean and spacious.
• The hotel was difficult to find at night as was the parking garage. A complimentary continental breakfast would be the icing on the cake.

“I love staying at this Hyatt and would highly recommend it to other travelers visiting Rochester. The only thing lacking is some type of complimentary light breakfast fare and coffee service, even if offered at an additional, minimal cost (i.e. five dollars add on to room).”

“Main problem was that there were no non-smoking standard rooms with either twin or double/queen beds. Only available non-smoking rooms were for handicapped access and had double/queen beds. We had a party of 3 and would have preferred either two rooms with twin beds or at least one room with twin beds.”

• It was conveniently located near the college that my son attends. We stayed there while taking him to his first year of college. I will stay again.

“I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel for any traveler in the Rochester area. They have a very nice pool that you can relax after a long trip. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. I will be back there again.”

• Housekeeping falls far short.

“This hotel has problems. The first room we were given, the AC thermostat was defective, and the closet door was off the track. The second room we were given was already occupied! The third room (non-smoking) had had someone smoking in it. The fourth room, we stayed in, but some of the furniture had not been properly dusted in weeks, the carpet had not been properly vacuumed, the telephone cord was tangled up in a knot, there was no do not disturb sign for the door, the TV remote was defective. The manager contacted us about our problems and was very solicitous, but this hotel needs to be rescued.”

• The spacious and wonderful panoramic views of the city.
• The weekend (Saturday) room service needs improvement. No soap, shampoos, coffee, etc.

“I loved the hotel and I have stayed there before. Unfortunately the week-end cleaning staff need to follow some check-list of conveniences (soaps, etc) that revealer's except. Many calls to room service did not help.”

“This hotel was in a bad area, parking was $13, we asked them to honor it, they said no. The lobby looked nice, but the halls to the rooms were old looking, many times there was garbage in the hallways. This was by no means a 4 star hotel. There was no where local to eat, no coffee. It was a terrible experience.”

• I like the work out center and the down comforters on the beds!
• Parking fee each time you exit, unfriendly staff, one-depth pool.

“This place is not for everyone! Would not recommend this place! The pool is all one depth and is hard to relax in; the hot tub is very small not enough room for more than 3 people on top of each other. Hotel is hard to find when there are detours all over the place. You have to pay to make even local phone calls, and you have to pay $4 each time you leave and reenter the parking garage! Staff was not the friendliest either! Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, and the place was very quiet though.”

• Parking! It was $15 to park thought it should be cheaper for hotel guests. Garage was a little scary.
