“There were some problems - previous occupant of the room we were supposed to have had left TV on, so staff thought he was still in there and never cleaned it. Desk was exceptionally friendly and moved us to another room, which reeked of curry, but I don't mind curry smell so it was OK. Then (as is a risk with these efficiency places) someone burned their toast at 3AM, and the fire alarm went off and the place needed to be evacuated until fire dept could come and shut alarm off. The friendliness of the staff really mitigated how upset I probably should have been about the problems, and they did seem like two kind of freak problems.” Aug 20, 2009 by
Linda from Cazenovia,NY
“The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was worth the price we paid.” Aug 4, 2009 by
Charles from Caledonia,MI
“If you are sweating in the hot sun each day you will enjoy coming back to your room and cooking your own dinner. Hopefully you will be tired enough to skip the tiny TV and the few channels and fall right onto the bed and not fuss about comfort. This is a rough and ready place for folks who don't need much and want their own space.” Jun 20, 2009 by
Neville from Rochester,NY
“Over all good. It was good to see that the appliances provided were all in good working order.” Jun 17, 2009 by
Kyle from Bethany,CT
“Had a great time, everything in the kitchen worked and was clean. No complaints!” Nov 1, 2008 by
Tim
“It is nice hotel and nice rooms but not as in nice beds or when need internet they charge for.” Oct 23, 2008 by

“Good hotel and will come back again.” Sep 12, 2008 by
Donna from Rowlett, TX
“It was clean, comfortable and the person at the desk was friendly and informative.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Joel from South Amboy, NJ
“This is a 1 star property at most. No ice machine, the hallways smelled really bad, like old stale curry. The room was tiny, the bathroom was dirty and the shower had no soap or shampoo. The kitchen had no paper towels at all, and one little bath towel. The TV was from the 1980's. It was a 19" CRT. I haven't seen a TV that small in 20 years! This dump was 2 stars. The last time I was in Rochester I stayed at Clarion that was also 2 stars, it was 10 times nicer than this place!” Aug 25, 2008 by
Pam from Medina, NM
“The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. Location, kind of hard to find as very small sign but quiet. Good for the business traveler.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Bob from Yonkers, NY
“People at this hotel were very low class. The rooms were very basic. I would consider it a 1-star hotel. Not a 2-star. It is not conveniently located at all, and it is hard to get to.” Aug 22, 2008 by
Tez from Cambridge, MA
“In general a good looking hotel and friendly staff. Good to stay with family.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Marty from Rochester, MI
“The place was dirty, beat-up, extra charges on everything, the vending machines didn't work, the place was hard to find. No stars!” Aug 20, 2008 by
Rodney from Greensburg, PA
“I asked for two beds and got a room with one bed.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Mazyar from Fenton, MI
“It was in a nice quite area; had access to highways, price was good. Aside from the rooms service which was not included, I rate the room 2.5-star. If someone wants to stay there for couple of days not getting room service can be fine, but there is an option of paying extra $3/day for room service.” Aug 11, 2008 by
Linda from Victor, NY
“The kitchen allows me the ability to make food and not have to pay restaurant prices.” Aug 8, 2008 by
Sarah from Lawrence, KS
“The hotel had a strange smell to it but it seemed clean. It was a 10 minute ($24) cab ride to the airport and there was no shuttle. The Extended Stay hotels work on a limited staff and there is no overnight person at the counter, which is fine except we needed to check-out at 4:30 in the morning when no one was working. I wasn't able to get a receipt for my stay.” Aug 3, 2008 by
Carol P. from Kenmore, NY
“The room was dirty, hair and dirt on the kitchenette table, a potato bug on the bathroom floor. The bulb in the lamp next to the bed was out, person at desk said they could send maintenance the following day (would have been after I checked out). There is no restaurant and no night crew if you need anything. The room smelled dirty.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Roberta from Markham, NU CA
“Excellent for one person and longer stay, not enough bed for two single person. Hotel was very clean with small kitchen is a plus.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Elisa from Mount Vernon, NY
“Awful. I traveled with my two boys and my husband and asked for double beds. I was originally placed in a single room and had to pay out of pocket to be switched to a double occupancy room. The scent that greeted us as we entered the room was of heavy rose perfume trying its best to mask the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. It was unsuccessful. The beds were too small to sleep the boys on one and my husband and myself on the other. We ended up having to request a pull out bed and at that, my oldest boy still had to sleep on the recliner. The entire place did not evoke a sense of cleanliness in me. We slept on top of the covers fully clothed. As you looked around the room, the furniture was peeling, though solid. In the morning, we took a quick shower in a tub that made me wish I had packed my pool sandals so I wouldn't be barefoot in it. We had until noon to check out. We left by 9 am.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Buffalofamilyof4 from Buffalo, NY
“This was an economical hotel which was very affordable. However, the room could have been cleaned better (crumbs on recliner, dirt and dust in corners, hair in bathroom). The staff was nice.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Jenefer from Brampton, ON CA
“The TV was small and outdated. The bed was terrible. We both had neck aches from the bed.” Jul 21, 2008 by
A from East Brunswick, NJ
“This hotel is conveniently located close to shopping, restaurants, major highways and major attractions in the Rochester area. Hotel staff are pleasant and helpful. This hotel is suitable for a business traveler, but not for family. Their rooms only have one queen bed and a recliner. Their bathrooms are nice and clean, but they do not have hair dryers. Rooms have a kitchen complete with cooking utensils, a big refrigerator and coffee machine.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Amy from Brooklyn, NY
“This is a good place to stay if you're traveling for work and especially convenient if you don't want to eat out every meal. Rooms come equipped with small kitchens, making it convenient if you're on the road for a while. Definitely a no frills establishment, but it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.” Jul 18, 2008 by
Sheila S. from Sandusky, OH
“Beds were very hard and so were the pillows.” Jul 18, 2008 by
Kim from St. Albans, NY
“This hotel is family and business friendly. It is not fancy but warm and comfortable. It is located in a very nice community, privately situated off the main street but everything is in walking or driving distance. A day's trip to Niagara Falls is just an hour and a half drive. The Sea Breeze amusement park is about a 30 minute drive or less drive. Full kitchen! Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Dave's Barbeque is five minutes away. Great experience!” Jul 16, 2008 by
Milos from Kitchener, ON CA
“Better then I expected. Convenient location. Clean. Affordable.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Cornelia from Vestal, NY
“Tolerable for one night, but with no housekeeping service, not even making the bed or changing the towels, it was horrid for more than one.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Ashok from Newtown, PA
“Great for long term living. Have all the kitchen amenities. We actually did grocery shopping and cooked for breakfast. Not for short weekend trips when you expect complementary toiletries, coffee, etc everyday.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Richmond from Rochester, NY
“It's a decent place to stay with acceptable rooms, beds that are comfortable enough, and very handy kitchen facilities in the rooms for long stays. Rooms are kind of small, but if you're looking for a comfortable place to stay, especially if you're on a two- or three-day business trip, this hotel is a good and inexpensive choice.” Jun 6, 2008 by
Norm from Alfred Station, NY
“Great stay for the traveler needing a basic room without a lot of extras.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Virginia from Salem, IL
“This was listed as an "airport" hotel and was a $22.00 cab ride away from the airport. No one @ the front desk until 7:00 am if you needed someone. I have not been in any hotel in many days that did not have a hair drier.” Jun 4, 2008 by
John from Romulus, NY
“I liked it.” May 26, 2008 by
Lisa from Hummelstown, PA
“First room - couldn't open door with key but hallway filled with cig smoke smell. Second room - bed made but looked like it had been poorly made or already laid on. Third room, the model room, was same as other but bed was made. Training videos stacked next to TV including one titled Blood borne Pathogens. Overall, the room was at best a one star. Threadbare recliner, curtains falling off the curtain rod, no shampoo or blow-dryer. Considered an airport hotel but at least 8 miles from airport and never saw a shuttle. Very disappointed.” May 22, 2008 by
George from Olean, NY
“Good for the price and clean.” May 16, 2008 by
Brian from Toronto, ON CA
“Conveniently close to route 390, otherwise out-of-the-way location. Accommodation stripped down to essentials, unattractive decor but good-sized tabletop/desk area, basic kitchenette facilities but have at least one meal just down the road at Famous Dave's barbecue.” May 27, 2006 by
Vivian from West Milton, PA
“The hotel was in a quiet location but close to shopping and expressways. It was near a walking trail which goes for miles. We walked it and saw wildlife even thought it was close to the expressway. It was woodsy and quiet. We were so impressed by this hotel that we would stay there again.”
