Dick Glensiter from Annapolis
“This property has undergone a major renovation (the owners say over 5 million dollars) and it would now be one of the best properties I have stayed in over recent months. All rooms are remodeled, new pool, fitness center and a great healthy breakfast. I would recommend this to any traveler or family who are planning on staying in Hagerstown. Handy to the prime outlets and a excellent on site restaurant and night club. A great stay.” Oct 6, 2007 by
Kevin from Owings, MD
“The configuration of the hotel was awkward. The route from my room to the front desk was circuitous. There was no mention that the hotel has an indoor pool so I didn't bring a bathing suit. Not sure I would have swum in the pool after seeing how worn-down the rooms were. Luckily I wasn't expecting a Loews hotel room, so I wasn't completely disappointed for the money I spent. The pillows were totally useless as my head just sank to the bed whenever I laid down on one. For some inexplicable reason my electronic room key stopped working midway through my stay.” Oct 4, 2007 by
Kevin from Camp Hill, PA
“I had to change rooms three times. The first room the door would not work. Maintenance had to break into the door. I moved to the next room here the air conditioner did not work. At this point I had to leave for my party. So the staff said they would fix the problem. Later that night when I returned to the room my key did not work. I went down to the desk and they told me they moved me to another room. They presented me with the new room key. I than go up to this room. When I finally got settled I realized that my bags were still in the old room. Therefore, down to the desk I went to get a key to the old room to get my bags. However, the staff was very nice and very helpful and made this experience bearable. However they should disclose to you people that the hotel is under construction. Construction is the problem and the hotel should not be rated a class A.” Sep 23, 2007 by
William from Baltimore, MD
“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Other than the employees being friendly. The hotel advertised internet service, it wasn't working, I was in a room over a Mexican restaurant and the noise level lasted until 2 am. It was a very unpleasant stay. The bed was uncomfortable, like I said; it was a very unpleasant experience.” Sep 13, 2007 by
Elizabeth from Knoxville, TN
“I had to travel through downtown Hagerstown to the hotel. The price was right for the quality. It was clean, safe and quiet. Room was up-to-date and comfortable. There is grocery store and restaurants across the street.” Jul 28, 2007 by
Robert from Johnson City, NY
“The conference areas were updated the rooms are in need of remodeling.” May 31, 2007 by
Cheryl from Virginia Beach, VA
“Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was just fabulous! There were many great places to visit in the area. We were very comfortable. It's a family friendly place.” May 8, 2007 by
Steve from Bloomington, IN
“The hotel and conference center is a poorly maintained facility. The staff, though friendly, is incompetent in managing the front desk. The rooms are old and smell moldy. There are leaky ceilings throughout the hotel in public spaces. The electrical system in the rooms appears to be antiquated.” May 3, 2006 by
Kathy from Annapolis, MD
“Beds comfy, bathroom oldish and dull, security door not working, but our hallway was quiet, and we slept well, though we heard some complain about noisy people on other side of hotel.” Apr 23, 2006 by
Karen from Grosse Pointe Park, MI
“Overall, we thought it was a good value for the money. We did enjoy the pool twice, although were quite disappointed about there being no whirlpool when it had been advertised as having such. We thought the room and the location of the hotel were great, and also thought the continental breakfast was presented nicely. The fact that the hotel, especially in the pool area, seemed to be in need of repairs was the biggest detraction. For that reason we would not recommend it without some hesitation, but we were not dissatisfied with our stay. (Housekeeping was a little bit too obvious that they wanted us to vacate the room so that they could get their cleaning done, too.)” Apr 23, 2006 by
Frank from Newland, NC
“All-in-all for our needs the motel was almost perfect. The staff were all pleasant and extremely helpful. The plumbing and mattresses left a lot to be desired, but we were so exhausted at day's end, it all seemed very pleasant -- again, the staff made the difference.” Dec 26, 2004 by
Steve B. from Ashville “One of the nights we stayed they had a VERY noisy crowd. Fire extinguishers being released, excessive drinking, yelling outside as well as in the hotel. We were unable to get to sleep until after 4:00 a.m. I strongly felt we should be reimbursed. The staff bordered on rudeness at the front desk.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 22, 2004 by
Steve B. from Ashville “They had a very rambunctious crowd on one of the nights we stayed there. Fire alarms going off, fire extinguishers being released, etc. We felt very strongly that we should not have been billed for that night. We were not able to get to sleep until 4:00 a.m. The front desk staff were bordering on rude.” Oct 18, 2004 by
“Good hotel at reasonable price.” Sep 28, 2004 by
Darlene S. from Sanford “They are in the middle of some reconstruction, but that did not effect my room or my stay.” Sep 2, 2004 by
Arlene A. from West Hollywood, CA “The restaurant was closed. The room and hallways needed cleaning. I have stayed here before. This time it was worse.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
