• Ease of check in, friendliness of staff, location, price.
• No microwaves, fridge, Jacuzzi, did not like elevator.

“This hotel is located near a Marina in little river, so close to Cherry Grove Beach. The marina lights and dock were nice to look at. If you just need a room not far from the beach, this is comfortable enough but would rather prefer more amenities such as a microwave and refrigerator.”

• The restaurant overlooks the harbor - very picturesque.
• This was a little far from where all the family activities were, and we had to drive past a section of the road that had a lot of gentlemen's clubs.

“The hotel was very nice and clean. It was farther away from the activities that we planned (Broadway) than I expected, and we had to drive by a lot of strip clubs on the way there. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find a beautiful harbor full of yachts. The restaurant overlooks this and it was lovely. There is another upscale looking restaurant next door.”

“We were in Myrtle Beach for our grandson's wedding at the Sea Watch Resort. Otherwise, we would travel in October and have a timeshare. As far as hotels go, this was very nice.”

• Clean; attractive; nice restaurant with good breakfast overlooking great intercostals waterway view with yachts.
• Nothing.

“A great surprise. A clean hotel with nice view and within short distance of all local attractions including the beach. Enjoyed eating breakfast with a view looking over boat docks and intercostals waterway and lighthouse. Rooms were comfortable and attractive.”

• The air smelled very clean, nice ocean breeze, nice night lighting view.
• Computer area was a bit greasy, maids did not speak or understand English.

“The smell of the room was inviting, the ocean breeze ensured that the air in the room was clean and fresh, the light from the large windows also ensured this. The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. Always nice to have a guest laundry. The front desk clerks were friendly, polite, hospitable and accommodating.”

• Not very crowded.
• We found animal hair all over our room, in beds, chairs, bathroom etc.

“I personally would not ever stay at this hotel again. There was not a lot of places to eat other than fast food. It was close to the beach which was good. The first night we got there, there was animal hair all over the room. The restaurant closed at 10 am so you couldn't sleep in if you wanted to eat breakfast there. The pool was shut down for cleaning for 2 whole days souring our stay. The first day we talked to the front desk and they told us that it would be clean within a few hours and it wasn't cleaned for another day. That was frustrating because we wanted a hotel with a pool so that we could swim and we didn't get to go swimming for 2 of the 4 days we were there and the hotel did not try to make up for it in any way.”

• Easy to locate on the main street.
• Dining was not available at convenient times for us.

“Very small space consider the fitness center. No hot tubs no refrigerator or micro wave would have been nice to have while staying that amount of time. Did smell smoke on the non smoking floor and heard little dog yapping at night. Beds were comfortable and water was hot. Cable selection was not that great and side door did not work for late entry, had to park one side of hotel and walk to the other. OK for some but I'm too old.”

• Location near marina/water. Very good restaurant next door. Staff of the hotel were very quick to resolve problems.
• Non smoking room smelled like a smoking room. The bed pillows were very uncomfortable and had an unpleasant odor.

“Although this was a nice hotel, it did not meet all of our wants. We had wanted to be closer to myrtle beach and we did not have that option when selecting a hotel.”

• The towels were scratchy and the laundry room did not have soap to buy.

“The hotel was easy to get to and was quiet but it was almost too far from "things to do". It was clean and neat but plain. The staff was friendly and willing to answer my questions.”

• I liked when we finally left this humid, disgusting hotel.
• The room was so humid that the sheets felt damp. The bathroom was very dirty, and the room had a smell of urine.

“This hotel was so disgusting that we considered leaving a day earlier. There were stains in the toilet left from a previous guest and not cleaned. The room was so damp that I could not get warm and get a good night sleep. The odor in the room was unbearable (similar to urine). We couldn't wait to leave.”

• The junior suite was very nice. I liked the extra living room/dining area.
• I wish we were right on the beach.

• Smelled moldy.

“Hotel had a moldy, mildew odor, and reeked of cat urine. No coffee pot in room, only a cheap paper cup you insert under coffee pot. I then went to lobby for coffee and saw dead bugs on the wicker type wall unit they had the coffee stored in. Asked for dehumidifier but never got it. Couldn't access internet, had to go to front desk to ask them to turn my phone on.”

• It was on the marina and had 2.5 miles of docks to walk around and a lighthouse. Beautiful scenery. Kids loved it.
• No Patios. Had to pack up and drive to beach. Pool very small and dirty.

“Overall the hotel was great. Restaurant - terrific prices. Family of 4 ate for under $18. View was picturesque. Yachts, boats, docks, lighthouse loved it all, just missed seeing the beach or being able to walk to beach.”

• It's 30 or 40 minutes from myrtle beach.

• This hotel was dirty. It smelled of smoke and animals and unwashed human. We complained and housekeeping was sloppy.

“This hotel was just dirty. It had so many odors, from animals, smoke and humans. Thank heavens we had a short stay. Ask for housekeeping to clean did not solve problem, they sprayed sweet stuff and did not vacuum or cleaned.”

• Clean, close to good seafood in calabash, beach close by, less traffic than myrtle beach.
• Animals, large dogs in the motel are terrible and the barking was bad. People need to know before that large dogs are allowed.

“The hotel is clean, in a nice location, close to world famous seafood in Calabash, close to a beautiful beach which looks like cape cod. Great place to stay. The only bad thing is pets are allowed and that means some big dogs, which means barking at night but if the pets are not there it is a nice place to stay for the money. The most important thing to me is safety and this is absolutely a safe area. I will go back.”

• The hotel was very easy to find.
• For a 2 1/2-3 star hotel (I thought) no microwave in room. Restaurant/lounge only opens for 3 hours. We were put in a handicap room. Extremely small.

“Hotel staff was very friendly. Hotel rooms are very small and a long way from the beach. View from room, it was the parking lot. Restaurant only open from 6-9. Nothing really in walking distance. Saw hotels for the same price across from beach. This hotel very much overpriced for the location at the beach.”

“I would recommend this hotel for short stay travelers. It was a pet friendly hotel. There was no efficiency. Very clean pool, rooms, hallways, bathrooms, laundry room even though one dryer was out of order. The staff was great except the morning we left they had some kind of fire drill and the fire department had to be called at 7am. The staff knocked on every door to tell people they must leave the hotel but neglect to make sure everyone left. The older people across from us vacated after the drill was over. I think the staff needs to have a better drill before lives could be lost. All staff should have a meeting place and one person in each group should have a fire extinguisher and made sure the whole hotel was vacant of all visitors and personnel. They need a better plan and I was not satisfied with their drill procedures.”

• The location for our destination was great.
• After there 2 days the room started to smell like animals urine. It was almost unbearable.

“The location of the hotel was great, the staff was welcoming. However, after there for two days, when we returned that evening I noticed an odd odor. At first I thought it was maybe the air out side coming in through the air conditioning, but the smell was still there the next morning and there the rest of the stay. The carpet was dirty and the beds were a little lumpy. If it weren't that we were not in the room as much, we thought about asking for a different room. It really put a bit of damper on the last two days, epically since it rained the last day. If they could clean the carpets more or limit cretin rooms for animals I would stay there again.”

• The cost for the amount and quality received.
• The hotel's name misleads guests with north myrtle in the title when actually they're in little river.

“Great hotel. Again, I thought it was a little misleading when I specifically requested a hotel in north myrtle but actually got a hotel in a town (little river) two miles out. It really made a difference when traveling to our planned destinations.”

• It's convenience to everything.
• Not good food in hotel restaurant, noise from the road, barking dogs in the hallways & noisy air conditioning unit & dark bathrooms.

“There was only one desk clerk on duty, on a Friday night so we waited 20 minutes to check in. We had to request another room because of street noise after the first night's stay. The tub/ shower area had dark walls and lights. The air conditioning unit was noisy. There were people's dogs barking in the hallway. And the Cochin restaurant food was not good. There was one lady working as hostess, waitress & busboy, so service was slow at best. Not a good experience! And at about $125.00 a night, not worth it!”
