• Clean. Friendly staff.
• Too far away from Myrtle Beach.

“Nice hotel. Clean room. Friendly staff. Only detraction was the location to Myrtle Beach area, a good 20+ miles away. Still a good place to stay especially if you are staying near or at North Myrtle Beach.”

• Desk staff was not helpful on arrival.

“We did not receive the rooms requested and were put in smoking rooms. One occupant has a health problem and we requested a non-smoking room because of it.”

• The complimentary breakfast and overall location of the facility was nice.
• I found the staff unhelpful and the room absolutely unbearable.

“This was by far one of the worst trips I have ever taken. The hotel repeatedly told me that they had no non-smoking rooms available, but I, later, found out that they did indeed have a non-smoking room because I overheard another gentleman check in (who had not made previous reservations) and he was booked for the last non-smoking room. I am not a smoker and have strong allergies to cigarette smoke - so I opted to spend most of the night in the hotel lobby (that was smoke free) and then spent the remaining hours sleeping in my car to avoid staying in such a room.”

• Staff was great. Very friendly and courteous.
• A little far from shopping and restaurants.

“The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel staff is very friendly. It is a little far from major shopping and dining attractions (almost the last hotel in North Myrtle Beach) but we would stay here again. We had a great experience.”

• Breakfast was more than continental. Hotel had a hot tub too!
• Too far from everything. Could not ride my bike to the beach because the hotel was on the wrong side of the busy highway.

“I was surprised at what the hotel had to offer (pool, hot tub, breakfast) for the price, but didn't expect it to be as far up. I would have preferred one closer to Broadway and on the Beach side of busy Hwy 17 so I could ride my bike to the beach and around. It was surrounded by decent restaurants, but since I had to drive to everything else, it really didn't matter.”

• For a smoking room, it was quite clean and the facilities were fine.
• Only king size bed in smoking room was available. They made little effort to accommodate any change over four days despite cancellations and turnover.

“Its convenient to the highway, great restaurants and North Myrtle Beach, the less developed part of Myrtle beach. However, if they are going to cater to a country wide audience, they need to lose the smoking rooms and king size beds and go to multi bed non smoking rooms. The hotel staff also varied in niceness - one guy called us three days after we arrived and asked if we'd gotten our crib yet. Some of the staff, I think one of the owners were a bit rude and curt. Other staffers was nice and helpful, but I think it depended more on their personalities than hotel management policy. The cleaning staff was not that good and my wife was sure her makeup had been touched/used.”

• Even though we had a lot of problems & complaints the staff came in a fixed them immediately.
• It was not clean, the face of the AC unit fell off dirty sheets.

“This hotel room was reasonable for the holiday weekend. The room was not clean or neither was it well kept.”

• The king size bed.
• The slow wireless internet service and the TV.

“The hotel was nice and clean, but the wireless service was not high speed and our TV was messed up. Probably won't come back since we prefer ocean view.”

“Overall, the hotel was very nice. The room was clean and the staff was nice. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the hotel and they offered a couple of different pieces of literature about the city and attractions. The pool was small but we were there for the beach.”

• Good coffee! Need to have cookies available 24/7 like clarion!
• No cookies! In the lobby by the coffee!

“This was a nice place to stay- a little distant from the condo where my kids stayed but nonetheless very comfortable especially the beds! I slept like a baby! Good pillows, good mattress, nice so nice down comfort! Loved my restful stay! The only thing was that the rooms seemed geared to men and their tastes with the dark cherry furniture and dark bed spreads.”

• Initial room had adjoining room door and was very noisy, had to move.

“This hotel had all the basic necessities one needs when traveling. It was simple, clean and friendly. The Gratis breakfast bar was a nice perk.”

• To far from attractions, did not have the requirements I was told it had.

“The hotel in general is great. The pool was very small but fun, the workout room only had 3 pieces of equipment and we never got a turn. But, the hotel was clean at all times and the staff were beyond friendly.”

• It was within walking distance to restaurants.
• Light switch in the bathroom had exhaust fan first instead of light. King size bed was too close to the wall. Non-smoking room had previous smokers.

“The front desk folks were very pleasant. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the room. The cleaning staff were also pleasant and accommodating.”

• Nothing -- promised a non smoking & given a smoking room.
• Staff was rude and unhelpful. Also hotel was dumpy.

“I would never stay at this hotel again nor would I consider staying at another location due to the fact of the rudeness of the help and the fact that a non-smoking room was requested because my child has asthma and was given a smoking room. Also was told too bad not their problem.”

• The room was clean and check in/out was easy.
• The location was too far away from the festival I was attending.

“My hotel stay went very well. the check in/out went smoothly. the rooms were clean and the staff was nice and very helpful. the room contained many amenities that we forgot to pack(iron, hair dryer, ironing board). and the continental breakfast was better than I expected. the only problem I encountered was the hotel was too far from the activities I was in town for, but overall, my stay was fine.”
