• You can hear people in the hallways very easily.

• It was perfect and the pool was great.
• I liked everything.

“Our experience was only a positive one, our room was perfect. The beds were more than comfortable. The shower curtain was bowed out, which left more room in the shower. The staff met our every need.”

• Thin walls- we were kept awake one night by partiers in the next room.

“We were celebrating our engagement and the staff went out of their way to make this stay special for us. We received complimentary wine and cheese upon arrival and congratulations everywhere we went. The service in the bar (both food and drink) was outstanding. This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had.”

• The Marriott has the most amazingly comfortable beds - you don't want to get out of them!
• Everything was exceptional.

“For my first visit to Raleigh, I couldn't have asked for a more pleasurable stay. The hotel is very contemporary and comfortable and beautiful. The rooms are spacious, the beds are the best, and the customer service can't be beat. They are all about the customer - I asked for a different room and was accommodated with no problem. They have a beautiful bar area. And it's located directly across from the best mall in Raleigh. Ten minute drive to airport - centrally located to everything.”

• The recent renovations are very attractive. The hotel personnel were very helpful with the little ones, directions, etc.
• The walk light at the intersection was very short.

“Our family stayed at the Marriott for my daughter's birthday weekend. We were close enough to the mall to walk across the way. All of the Marriott employees that we encountered were very kind to us. They took the time to speak to my daughter and ask her about her day. We had been to see Disney on ice-princess wishes-so she was very talkative. The pool and hot tub were very clean and well maintained. It was a very enjoyable weekend.”

• Did NOT like the heavy, thick comforters. Too hot even though the thermostat was turned off, I also asked for help to get online, no help came.

• The bedding is super comfortable. The new room decor is great.
• The room was a little small. The shower did not have much pressure.

• Upon checking out, they tried to bill me their regular room rate and it took a long time to resolve it.

• It was a good full service hotel.
• All basic services were extra charges like high-speed internet and phone calls.

“The parking lot was inconvenient especially during bad weather. The basic services were extra which are normally free in other hotels. The hotel was a full service hotel and was clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly and professional.”

• Not maintained well...Old building appears more than its age.

“These older hotels are not maintained very well. Most of the decor, room levels are out dated, the bathrooms are not caulked well, tiles are damaged, uncomfortable mattresses, etc. I'm sure the Crabtree Marriott hosts large business events, but it is not geared for the leisure traveler. I think the LaQuinta Inn nearby is nicer than the Marriott. The rooms are nearly the same in price, but the La Quinta has a much better handle on the overall aesthetics of the hotel. It's a two star, and it looks like a three star. In today's market, appearance is everything. I am willing to sacrifice some of the services in order to have an aesthetically pleasing environment. I've worked for Marriott in the past, and I know they can do better than what I found over the weekend. The experience was a bit disappointing, but I understand the Marriott way. I respect it as do all of its employees. All of the staffers were fantastic. I prefer staying at Marriott brand hotels, the manager just needs a bit more help in maintaining a higher level of detail and quality. Who knows, maybe it's time to demo the site and build a new, modern Marriott that reflects today's tastes and values. ”

• The Hotel was clean, beautiful n well managed. Staff was good. The rooms were clean n cozy.
• The only problem was that breakfast arrived 40 mins after we placed the order.

“The Marriot was a great experience. We always enjoy our stay with this group of hotels. it is tons better than Holiday Inn. We were disappointed with the stay at Holiday inn. I would strongly recommend the Marriott to anybody.”

“My hotel stay at the Marriott was very enjoyable. I wish I could remember the employees' name that registered me, she was very helpful and accommodating. She found out that I was celebrating my birthday and included free breakfast. I have never been dissatisfied with the Marriott.”

“The room was small. I had called to request a refrigerator in my room which they said they could provide, however there was not one in my room. The sheets did not stay on the bed as we slept, I had to keep remaking the bed.”
