• It was very close to many shops and restaurants.
• The hotel staff was rude and acted as if they couldn't be bothered to help us.

“The hotel was in a great location near a lot of stores and restaurants. The staff seemed bothered when we needed help. The whirlpool was not working. The breakfast we ordered from room service was good. We also ordered eggs in the restaurant in the hotel, but they were not good. We had to send the first plate back because the eggs were not fully cooked. The server acted like we were bothering him, even though we were the only people in the restaurant. The room was nice and clean though. I would stay at the hotel again just because of its location.”

“Really a great price. Excellent staff in a good location. Very clean and well maintained rooms. The breakfast on the weekend is a bit pricey. I would certainly stay there again and recommend to my friends.”

“We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago on business and the water in the whirlpool was a nasty brownish color. This time it was closed down. The pool water was colder than normal, and had a funny smell to it. My son got some water in his mouth on accident and told me it was absolutely gross (not like other chlorinated water). Beds are pretty hard and none of us slept very well.”

• The hotel suite was lovely and spacious and the staff was outstanding.
• The was a small bug in the bathroom and when l mentioned it. No apology was given.

“This was an excellent hotel for the price. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating. The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there.”

• The handling of the reservation and the HVAC in the room didn't work.

“I will not stay at this hotel due to the problems with the HVAC in the room and the complete lack of help from the staff. That was the toper after the handling (or rather mishandling) of the reservation.”

• It was convenient and the desk manager guaranteed I would not be double billed this time.
• Being called a "Suites" I expected a better size and quality room.

• The pool/hot tub area was not well kept. The nonsmoking room smelled like smoke.

“The Holiday Inn in Cary, NC is everything you could want in a 4 star hotel. Quiet, clean, well appointed, roomy, elegant yet relaxed, with room service, an indoor pool and exercise facilities. I wish they were all like this. We did not need the restaurant.”

• The room had a pleasant smell when I entered .
• The room had cob webs in the corners of the ceiling and a lady bug (I think, it wasn't red) crawling on the wall.

“The hotel was very nice but the pool was just off the main lobby ad the lobby smelled of chlorine. The room had cob webs in the corner of the ceiling and I found a small bug crawling on the wall. I think it was a lady bug but it was not red in color. Other than that the room seemed very clean and the lobby looked very nice and the bed was firm and comfortable.”

“Most of Carys hotels are tucked away in undeveloped areas and are difficult to locate. This is no exception. Clean, attractive without any special attributes. They have a note in the room that you may request a special pillow but no one answers the extension when you call to make the request.”

“Not a bad hotel. Very disappointed that both the pool and exercise room were closed for repairs. We stayed for 3 nights, but the room card key was not programmed properly, and every day we had to get it reprogrammed so we could get into our room. Hotel would be a better value if breakfast was included.”

• Staff is friendly and attentive to needs of guests.
• Chlorine smell in lobby due to the indoor pool is a common problem at Holiday Inn.

“This hotel is very convenient to the RDU airport, shopping, downtown Raleigh, and surrounding areas. About a block from the freeway entrances, so it's easy to get to, but you don't hear the noise. The staff is very prompt and attentive. The restaurant and room service were better than I expected.”

“My husband and I stayed at this hotel two weekends in a row. His kids are in Cary NC and his daughter graduated. We normally just stay the day when we go to Cary but we loved the hotel so much, we will be making reservations to stay more often. Great location. It's next to the mall, movie theater, home depot, lows, etc. So we both are satisfied!”

• I liked the fact that the hotel had a Jacuzzi, swimming pool, and exercise equipment.
• I ordered from room menu. The next day I went to the restaurant and was told the room menu was old.

“If I stayed at the hotel again in carry, I would have to have a bigger room like a suite if they had them. The hotel itself was convenient to a shopping center.”

“The location was wonderful for shopping. The hotel was up to date and keeps clean. We loved the room which was more like a suite. It was nice to watch TV without having to lounge on the bed.”

• The hot tub was very nice, and the room was comfy.
• Breakfast was not included in the price of the room.

“The hotel was very nice, if a little hard to find. The pool would have been nice except for a group of very rude kids the hotel seemed to have no control over. Breakfast was very good, but not included in the price of the room.”

“Class. A hotel all the way. Very clean, comfortable, and well-managed. Only problem at all is the location. It took me about 30 minutes to find it because you cannot see it from the main road at all. Once you get there, though, you should love it.”

“Hotel was nice. Beautiful lobby area. Pool and exercise room looked nice although I did not use. The room was decorated nicely but compared to other 3 stars I have stayed in, it was a bit small. Asked for a wake up call because we had an important meeting. Was assured we would be called. We were not! Woke up late and almost missed my meeting.”

• The rooms and facilities were impeccable.
• Housekeeping could have been better. One daytime desk-woman had a poor attitude.

• Very pleasant staff and upgrade to design of hotel.
• It was just not in the same category as other 3 star hotels. It was nice, just not up to a 3 star.

“Hotel has recently been re-decorated. We got put in a room but the elevator, which was noisy. Bed was comfortable, hate down pillows though. Not really close to either place we were going, had to take cabs everywhere we went.”

• There was a refrigerator, a microwave, a table and a couch.
• It was very noisy, with kids running everywhere and banging doors at all hours.

“It is a nice hotel, but they should put children and people attending weddings in the lower floors ao they wouldn't disturb anybody, and put business people in the higher floors so they could enjoy a peaceful evening and sleep through the whole night.”

• The hotel was not far from a great shopping area but far enough away for privacy.
• There are no negative things to say about this hotel that I experienced.

“This hotel was very clean. It had a welcoming atmosphere. Being a cold night when we arrived, there was a fire in the fireplace. The staff was very cordial. The room was clean and spacious. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Quiet location. Nice sized suite.
• Restaurant small, not very private.

“Hotel was remodeling common areas and guest rooms as of January 2007, but we saw very little evidence of that - meaning it didn't disrupt our stay at all. Enjoyed our two-night stay. We were in a true suite - as in having a bedroom separated by the bathroom and "living" area separated by a door. Staff was very friendly. We requested a change from one king to two double beds, which was done cheerfully. Food was good - ate one dinner in the restaurant and room service for one breakfast. Restaurant is small and too open to the common areas, and not very private. Service was excellent though.”
