• Hotel facilities are run down and do not work. No free breakfast was provided.

“Swimming pool was messy/hot tub did not work. Gym was in poor condition. Was first had a room which had a strong smoking smell. Staff changed it and gave new room.”

• They staff were very kind and help me with everything that I needed.
• I ask for a room on the high floor with a nice view and they give me a low floor with no view. I look out my window and all I saw was part of the roof!

“My room was on the 2nd floor when I wanted to be up high. Then when we look out the only window all u can see was the roof of the 1st floor and they had the vents on it so we couldn't sleep at night cause it was on and making a lot of noise. Then when I want to go in the spa it wasn't working, The staff said there was nothing they could do at that time. But the staff at the front desk were very kind when I call for rooms rive they were fast and nice.”

• The restaurant employee attitude was poor.

“The hotel is at a great location with great rooms. But the pool and the lobby was crowded with loud, noisy inconsiderate guests at all odd hours, the elevators were wet with water from the pool. The restaurant staff was rude and inconsiderate when they chose to answer the phone. In the morning they did not even pick up the phone. When we went the restaurant, they ignored us. Although the quality of food was excellent.”

• The hotel is located near restaurants, movie theaters, shops and other cites of interest.
• The public spaces were too congested and the fitness room should be upgraded or eliminated.

“This particular hotel is located near restaurants, movie theaters, and a variety of stores. The rooms are well appointed and the business traveler should find the room clean and comfortable. The public spaces are somewhat congested, thus, privacy is at a minimum. The breakfast buffet is appealing and should satisfy the tastes of any quest. I would happily return to this hotel.”

• It was near to Cary.
• Noise from all the air conditions outside our window.

“I told the front desk about our room having air conditioners for the whole hotel outside our bedroom window. All they said at the front desk was WOW! They had heard about this from other guests but had not stayed at this particular hotel themselves! Not very good customer service.”

“Great location walking distance to shopping and dinning. The hotel is clean but the smell of the room and lobby were a bit unpleasant. Staff was friendly and helpful and the indoor pool is a good Idea.”

“The hotel is very clean, room and bath also very clean and comfortable. It was difficult to locate the hotel. The walls are very thin. And it appears that weekends are party-party time, while weekdays are more business oriented. More than adequate dining and shopping within a mile of the hotel.”

“Waited until midnight and complained to manager concerning disruptive guests on floor. The voices got somewhat lower, but they were still disruptive for at least another hour and a half. Also found my room door not closed properly so it was unlocked when I returned on a couple occasions. Called front desk to bring this to their attention and they said they would remind maids to shut door completely.”

• The location was wonderful easy access to highways, and many stores and restaurants were nearby.
• The boiler was broken which meant cold showers for most of the stay. It was fixed my last morning there.

“Nice appointed rooms. The walls were a bit thin. I could hear children/ voices in the next room. But overall it was in a nice location and the hotel staff was very friendly.”

• The staff was courteous, and the room was comfortable.
• The only problem we had was a lack of hot water in the morning.

“The hotel was great for the price; I would have paid more. We arrived late, and the receptionist was still very courteous. He even helped us find out if any restaurants would be open in the area. The bed was very big and comfortable, and it had plenty of pillows. The only problem we did have was a lack of hot water in the morning for a shower, but like I said, we only stayed one night, so it is possible something occurred we did not know about. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay.”

• It was very close to many shops and restaurants.
• The hotel staff was rude and acted as if they couldn't be bothered to help us.

“The hotel was in a great location near a lot of stores and restaurants. The staff seemed bothered when we needed help. The whirlpool was not working. The breakfast we ordered from room service was good. We also ordered eggs in the restaurant in the hotel, but they were not good. We had to send the first plate back because the eggs were not fully cooked. The server acted like we were bothering him, even though we were the only people in the restaurant. The room was nice and clean though. I would stay at the hotel again just because of its location.”

“We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago on business and the water in the whirlpool was a nasty brownish color. This time it was closed down. The pool water was colder than normal, and had a funny smell to it. My son got some water in his mouth on accident and told me it was absolutely gross (not like other chlorinated water). Beds are pretty hard and none of us slept very well.”

• The hotel suite was lovely and spacious and the staff was outstanding.
• The was a small bug in the bathroom and when l mentioned it. No apology was given.

“This was an excellent hotel for the price. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating. The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there.”

• The room had a pleasant smell when I entered .
• The room had cob webs in the corners of the ceiling and a lady bug (I think, it wasn't red) crawling on the wall.

“The hotel was very nice but the pool was just off the main lobby ad the lobby smelled of chlorine. The room had cob webs in the corner of the ceiling and I found a small bug crawling on the wall. I think it was a lady bug but it was not red in color. Other than that the room seemed very clean and the lobby looked very nice and the bed was firm and comfortable.”

“Most of Carys hotels are tucked away in undeveloped areas and are difficult to locate. This is no exception. Clean, attractive without any special attributes. They have a note in the room that you may request a special pillow but no one answers the extension when you call to make the request.”

“Not a bad hotel. Very disappointed that both the pool and exercise room were closed for repairs. We stayed for 3 nights, but the room card key was not programmed properly, and every day we had to get it reprogrammed so we could get into our room. Hotel would be a better value if breakfast was included.”

• Staff is friendly and attentive to needs of guests.
• Chlorine smell in lobby due to the indoor pool is a common problem at Holiday Inn.

“This hotel is very convenient to the RDU airport, shopping, downtown Raleigh, and surrounding areas. About a block from the freeway entrances, so it's easy to get to, but you don't hear the noise. The staff is very prompt and attentive. The restaurant and room service were better than I expected.”
