• My 16 year old twin sons really enjoyed all of the pools and fitness center.
• The big black geese - bite.

“I enjoyed Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC. Next time I would try to stay closer to the beach. The shuttle service to the pools and beach was great, but I did enjoy the nice walks. It was very peaceful and convenient to lots of shopping.”

• The pools and the splash pools.
• Rooms were dirty and had bugs in the carpet. Condos were not same quality as a hotel.

“We were disappointed. We were under the impression that it was the hotel. The condo building had no amenities, no restaurants and the room had bugs. The crib they brought us had a terrible plastic mattress that the man that brought it to us threw a sheet on top on the crib, we had no idea if it was clean or dirty. It wasn't even folded.”

“Warning: Condos & Villas are privately owned, and not all are clean! My 1st room was filthy & smelled musty. They switched me to another room in which a roach ran accross my kids pillow. At 10pm they switched me to a 3rd room where we found two dead roaches. But hey, the 4th room was nice. No Lifegaurd on duty! The safety bumpers were not on the pool ladder, as a result my son has 6 stiches in his foot. Ruined our vacation. He couldn't walk around the amusement parks, and couldn't go in water. The hotel offered no apology or compensation for the injury or inconviences caused by it. Poor Management!”

• It's on the beach! The front desk staff is great there was enough room for our family to be together.
• The maid service of a non-suite room was as if we were the step-child. It was clean, but had not, and was not replenished with care.

“The Plantation/ Embassy Suites is a great stay at the beach. (It also has a water park for people who do not want to face the waves or salt.) We had a wedding and simultaneous family reunion there and I think that everyone will always remember it.”

• The grounds were beautiful.
• The outdoor pools are not heated.

“The grounds and available amenities of this hotel were fabulous. Very family friendly. I wish the outdoor pool was heated. I also thought our condo would be ocean view and it was not. That said, the lake it faced was very pretty and it was a very short walk to the beach.”

• The complimentary breakfast and managers reception is the reason Embassy Suites is my 1st choice on any trip I take.
• One of the three elevator banks were out the entire weekend. The elevators are old and rickety. I had to drive to the indoor pool.

• The room and all the resort facilities were very clean. Everything was easily accessible on and off the resort. It is the best place to stay at MB.
• I thought the life guards were a bit arrogant and needed attitude adjustments. The towel hut staff member was not friendly at all.

“Kingston Plantation does a great job of meeting your vacation needs and wants. The resort is safe, peaceful and clean. I cannot wait to go back.”

• The view was fantastic and the room was beautiful.

“The resort was beautiful and we will probably go back we were very disappointed in how we were treated about the breakfast buffet. The "customer service" representative told us we did not gt breakfast because we got discounted room and when I explained that we chose this resort because one of the amenities was free a breakfast, she acted as if she did not believe us and was not concerned. ”

• I was glad our vacation was finally over. I honestly can't say anything positive.
• Charged for ice and bucket, no housekeeping service, wasn't anything like advertised.

• With warm temperatures, pool areas are nice. However, outdoor pools are not heated.
• Problems with service from start to finish - broken a/c, indoor pool heater, response for cups, directions, etc.

“We were very disappointed with this hotel - we had heard some really great things about it. Although our confirmation said we'd be staying at the Embassy Suites, we were put in a building next door. The A/C was broken, and it took over an hour. We were then told to move to another room where the a/c was also broken. All of this going on around 9:00 at night. Just getting someone to call us back was extremely difficult, and then we were told that they did not know where the repair person was. We also had no response to a request for coffee cups although we were told they'd be right up (no one ever did show). Hotel staff was not friendly or helpful (not even giving us directions to local attractions when asked). Children's program coordinator showed up late, unprepared and did not interact with the kids at all (shark tooth hunt). Someone dressed up as the Easter bunny was in the lobby area (clear sight of lots of kids), but refused to take pictures with kids who saw him/her unless they were paying customers of the photographer on site. How do you explain to your child that the Easter bunny only takes pictures with customers who have a photography appointment? Also, the outdoor pools were not heated. However, we were told the indoor pool at the health club was. When we went to the indoor pool, we were told the motor was broken, and the heat was not working.”

“Nowhere do I remember seeing this reservation say "condo" during the search process - only after I printed the conformation did I see "condo". I thought I was getting an embassy suite not a condo 100 yards from the hotel. To top it off; complementary breakfast was not included. Shame on me this time.”

• The bed and linins smelled very bad! Had to request new pillows.

“The bed in this room smelled very bad. The staff said it was owned by someone and not by embassy suites, so they could not remove the bad smelling bedding, but did bring fresher pillows. Other than that, my stay was great and would return again, assuming I could get a better maintained room. I did not receive room cleaning the second day at all and had to request clean towels. The owner of this property needs to replace all the bedding in room 1207g.”

• The Condos are very well furnished and comfortable. The housekeeping staff were very accommodating and friendly.
• The food at the grill at the main hotel was disappointing. The lady at the Concierge desk was not helpful.

“This is a perfect location to mix business with family leisure. The facilities are first class and the condo accommodations are excellent. The food served for lunch at the Grill was disappointing. The woman at the Concierge desk was not very helpful and gave inaccurate directions.”

• The adjoining Hilton staff and facility which we were able to use was very good.
• There was construction going on right next to our building, with drilling starting early in the morning - we were not told about this by anyone.

“The Embassy housekeeping left something to be desired. I had to call several times to get attention. Other than that it was a great experience with a good mixture of pool and seaside - and eating establishments. Great place for someone with young kids.”

“We thought our room is in Embassy hotel ($169!!!)but was South Hampton: dirty room, barking dogs (day and night),2days without cleaning service. Chris from the front desk told as "the dogs are owners dogs" so he offer another room in the same dirty hotel (not accepted). ”

• The Villas were very cozy and spacious, we were very comfortable and relaxed.
• Check-in was rather slow, talking hours, too many times the staff left positions to go into back rooms leaving people waiting with no explanation.

“Was very fun for the 4th of July! Cleaning crew was great, Check-in Staff was super slow! Pool area was nice, restaurants were nice, restaurant staff was nice. Location was peaceful and tucked away. Quiet romantic Villas kept you near the beach but away from the hustle and bustle of the main hotel. Fridge wasn't cold at all but we packed it with ice and made it work! Overall we were very pleased and had a great time! Thanks Embassy Suites Kingston Plantation Condos.”

“This hotel needs administrative improvement While we were there, we found out that the hotel booked four families in the same room. this is not a good thing. In addition, the housekeeping service was not the best either as they forgot to leave clean bath towels before we entered the room. The hotel's administration and management needs help.”

• The views were great.
• No air conditioning for 3 days-no ice water-as a vendor this was totally unacceptable.

“The air did not work. We were given empty promises as to when it would work. We were melting and were not even given ice water to keep cool. The industrial fan was so loud we could barely talk to clients who avoided coming to where we were because of the heat! Raw omelet. I would like some type of compensation for the 3 days of sustaining the heat and coming home ill from the heat. It appeared to us that no one cared. No one from management came to talk with us and at the very least an apology and a glass of water! ”

• It was in a beautiful setting.
• We were in a tiny room (not a suite as was described) with a full size bed. Our two children had to sleep on the floor.

“We did not get the type of room we expected and when we call for assistance. We asked to be put in another room so the children did not have to sleep on the floor and they told us we would have to pay a very substantial amount for another room. We did not have a comfortable experience.”

• rooms are hardly condos. 1 room, 2 beds.

“The staff was nice and professional. The ocean view from the room was great. I was not to happy with anything else though. When you walk into the lobby of the building we stayed in (South Hampton) the room is about 6 1/2 foot high. That is no joke¿”

• Room was excellent for the $$. Great location, ammenities, cleanliness, etc. Very pleased!
• Check-in was a pain! Very slow - had to wait 2 hrs after check-in time.

“I was very disappointed in the check-in procedure of the hotel. We had to wait 2 hrs (after check-in) for the room to be ready. I realize lots of guests were staying there, but it is unacceptable to have to wait that long to get in the room. Other than that, ammenities, price, location, etc was excellent. ”

• I loved the huge condo, it was like being at home, except it had daily maid service
• We did not know what kind of room we were getting till we checked in. One bedroom, two or hotel room?

“You truely have the best of both worlds at Kingston Plantation. Our 2 bedroom condo, which we paid goo price a night for, was someone's home, but it was in perfect shape and run by the Embassy Hotel at the Plantation. We had access to a truely world class fitness spa, as well as all the amenities at the at the Hilton, and Embassy Suite.”

“Given the free breakfast buffet, this hotel is a great value. Ours was a Sunday-Thursday stay, so no problems with pool noise or long elevator waits. Staff was very friendly and efficient.”
