• The hotel staff was friendly from the beginning. It was in a safe clean location.
• It had two small spiders that came in from outdoors.

• Breakfast was good, staff was fine.
• Doors to room leading directly outside to the parking lot, poor safety, old with dirty bathroom floors-an aged motel.

“Hampton Inn has no right putting their name on this old motel. But this was a cheap motel anyway. My opinion of Hampton Inn, if they are buying old motels, has seriously dropped and I now can't trust the quality of Hampton Inns.”

• The hot coffee all times of day was great.
• I didn't like the outdoor room entrances. It was very noisy at night.

“My stay was a positive one overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Compared to other Hampton Inns that we have stayed at, this one was just slightly less nice than usual. The furniture in the room was dinged/damaged a bit. There was no closet area, but instead a large wardrobe in the middle of the room that took up too much space and made the room seemed cramped. And there wasn't really a hot breakfast, but some ready-to-microwave selections in a small refrigerator. Overall it was a great.”

“As a solo female traveler, I was not happy when the check-in staff announced my status, room number and car license plate number in the midst of some questionable type people checking in ie. The room was clean but smelled musty, the furniture was probably several decades ago, and it felt cramped.”

• They served ice-cream at the pool.
• A rat got into my car!

“I will never stay at this hotel again. After our stay, we found a huge rat in our car. It got into our luggage and took a free ride with us. The room was not pristine, but it was not really dirty. It just was a room.”

“On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and the beds were quite comfortable, on the negative side, very small rooms, tinier bathroom, dark and dingy looking. The hotel was all the way across town from where I wanted to be. It took a half hour every time I left the hotel to get where I needed to be.”

“The room was attractive and comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good. I used the outdoor pool area which was very nice. The only drawback was that I traveled by air and had no car. There was nothing very close. I thought I would stay in on one of the days that was rainy and watch a movie but I felt $12+ for the pay movies was extremely excessive. Overall though it was a nice experience and I would recommend the hotel.”

• The breakfast was fabulous, even fresh pineapple in the fruit mixture.
• The feather comforter was heavy and lumpy.

“This hotel had a very nice lobby, good personnel, a comfortable room (although we got two double beds), and a fantastic breakfast. The fresh fruit even included fresh pineapple. The only things we did not like were the feather comforters were heavy and the feathers/down had shifted during the laundry so not light and fluffy. Do not try the omelet for breakfast. It is a piece of bread and a bit greasy. Many other choices though pancakes, French toast, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, donuts and coffee cake, juice and coffee/tea/etc. The USA Today is a nice feature, too.”

• The bedding, pillows and mattress was wonderful, wanted to take the pillows and comforter home.
• There was nothing that we didn't like.

“We loved the hotel. Even though it said 2 stars it felt more like 4 stars. If I'm in the area again, that hotel is my first and only choice. Everybody at the front desk were extremely nice and very accommodating. I would recommend that hotel to anyone.”

• I would have preferred a King bed over the two doubles.

• The staff was nice the rooms were okay I feel it was the better hotels in the area.
• Heat was hard to work and maintain/no microwave but had frig.

• I feel that this was a good hotel for the location and I would probably go back again when I am in the area.
• I dont have any thing to say that I didn't like for the type of hotel we had and the area it was in as I feel it was satisfactory for us.

• The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The shower was great.
• It did not have an open closet. It was a big cabinet.

“The hotel was great and the staff were very pleasant. The room was smaller than I expected but comfortable. The room was very clean especially the bathroom. The shower was relaxing. The breakfast was very satisfying and well organized. It was better than some of the hotels that I have stayed in that had a full breakfast. The afternoon and night shift staff was helpful in making sure my family was satisfied.”

• No outlets to plug lap top in around the bed.

“This is an excellent hotel. The only problems were the room was not ready on time and the lack of outlets. They are very clean and comfortable.”

• I liked the bathroom's tile which covered all the areas in the bathroom and it clean.
• I did not like the old television.

“The hotel was nice for the price. However, I prefer rooms inside of the building. The rooms were clean and smoke free which I especially enjoyed. The staff was excellent. I did not have to call for anything because I had an ample supply.”

• Small room/relatively unattractive.

“The rooms were clean and minimally functional; not particularly attractive. Hotel is close to highway (I-95) but distant from restaurants and other facilities in Fayetteville. Breakfast provided was adequate, but relatively unimpressive; however gets you off early in the morning and included in price.”

• The staff is very nice, and friendly, made you feel at home.
• We were getting dress & place the do not disturb sign out; they kept trying to come in our room.

“The only thing I didn't like is when we put the do not clean the room sign out, the housekeeping tried 4 times to come into the room and we were getting dressed. Made us feel like we had to rush so they can come in. My husband didn't like that one bit. The bed was so cozy and it was great!”

• Though a smoking room. Smelled like urine.

“Decent hotel. Different for a Hampton Inn. Doors open to the outside. Happy they did as the room smelled like urine when I first walked in. yes I know. It was a smoking room but it should not smell like urine. Not many restaurants nearby and the one next store was not that great. Very comfortable bed and chairs. Awkward design for the worktable. The table faced the wall with your back to the TV. you could see the marks on the wall where people tried to turn the table. Quite a task and I decided to forget the work space. Its basically wasted space. Did not like the pillows. I don't understand! Why have windows that do not open. Please hotels correct this problem. Unless you have a great ventilation system whether the room is smoking or non you have to have windows that open.”

• The staff was extremely helpful and very polite!
• It was a quite a distance from Fort Bragg.

“The hotel was quite some distance from Fort Bragg Army Base which was my destination. As well as very difficult to locate. The hotel staff was excellent!!! From the front desk, repair person and the cleaning staff was just wonderful so willing to help you in any way they could. Every single person I dealt with was very kind and helpful. The light switch between the beds had had a short in the switch. When I turned the light on it actually shocked me. This was reported to the front desk. The staff took care of the problem immediately and very professionally. The only thing I feel was not up to par was the distance between the hotel property and Fort Bragg. Every thing else was great.”

• One of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had. Superb!
• Large group was staying there so it was noisy at times, but that's not the fault of the hotel.

• Comfortable furnishings, wireless access gr8!, proximity to food places & highway.
• Didn't get a Non Smoking room as requested, also room didn't have Refrigerator & Microwave.

“This hotel is Just far from enough from the Interstate Noise! Good options of eating places nearby .With family, could have used Refrigerator & Microwave (I thought it was common ?)”

• Both the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff were exceptional.
• The rooms open to the outside, but we still felt very safe.

“We've traveled extensively over the past five years and Hampton Inn Fayetteville is without a doubt the best two star hotel at which we've ever stayed. The rooms and facilities seem to be newly renovated. The beds were comfortable and everything was neat and clean.”

• The room was nicely designed.
• My air conditioner did not work, maintenance would not be in till 7am!

“My air conditioner did not work! they told me I had to wait till 7am for maintenance they came around 9am the following day and replaced the whole air unit. I wanted to stay another night but they offered no discount after I suffered all night in a hot sticky room. ”
