• The Neutogena personal care products! The soft, fluffy and hyper-clean bed and bath linens!
• The lobby shop was quite inadequate, especially given the lack of shops right outside the hotel.

“New, hyper-clean and
very comfortable. Neutrogena personal care products and soft, fluffy bed and bath linens. Very quiet rooms and in a quiet neighbourhood. Slightly out of the way, but only a ten-minute fast walk from the centre of Allentown, where all the neat bars, shops and retaurants are. Complicated parking situation, but reasonably-priced. Can park for free at night on the street outside the hotel. Excellent value overall.”

“The DoubleTree accommodations are fine and their staff was excellent. The negatives are the very small parking area in the front for sign-in, and the fact that you have to use their valet service unless you have a folding bicycle. The service is ok, but needs drivers who drive stick. And since there is no feasible way to park yourself, the $8.00 per day charge seems too high. The service is practically a function of the front desk. Often the desk clerk gets your car, or in my case because I had a stick shift, the desk clerk drove me to the garage in her personal car to get my own car. At best an awkward situation in some circumstances.”
