• The staff was very friendly.
• The floor and room had an awful smell.

“Problem with the first room, it had a bad smell and the floor was bad to but the hockey team was in the halls with no shoes (LOL). When I informed the desk of the smell they moved me immediately and I was please with my other room. There was a Walgreen's right next to the hotel which was greatly appreciated.”

• Neighborhood was not great.

“The hotel had very little sound insulation, thus the room was loud. I wouldn't feel terribly safe walking in the area around the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable.”

• Located in proximity to many restaurants, and night spots.
• I was happy with all aspects of the hotel.

“Very friendly and helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms, and a tremendous restaurant made my stay a wonderful experience. The location provides many restaurant and night spot options, as well as a great shopping experience in the many shops along nearby Elmwood Avenue.”

“My overall experience was good. When I first arrived I was sent to a room that had not yet been serviced, but the girl at the front desk helped me. She immediately sent me to a clean room that was very nice.”

• I liked that the Hotel room hat both a King size bed and a Sleeper Sofa. I also like the fact that it was located near a Walgreens and other places to.
• I do not like that there was no breakfast served at the Hotel.

“Overall experience was fair, not great. No breakfast was served. Doing so would increase value and the number of people who would stay there as apposed to some other Hotel.”

• Perfect location.
• Expensive.

“I was visiting Buffalo for the Winter Classic and picked this hotel for the Downtown location. It was a little bit more than I wanted to pay, but I was able to walk a block and a half to the Anchor Bar (the Home of the Original Buffalo Wings) and then a block in the other direction to a street with a lot of low-key bars. If you want night clubs it is a bit farther walk. The staff was very helpful when my door key card did not work and even followed me to my room to make sure it was fixed.”

• When checking in, they were very friendly.
• Dirty tub. Bugs in tracks of window, walls were all splader with something.

“It was the most hotels I have ever stayed at! When we got in our room, we saw the dead bugs in window and a broken ashtray outside window, my husband went to tell them. They told him there was nothing they can do because there were no more rooms. They were booked. I am in the same business, and if that was at my lodge, I would have sent one of my grills to check out what the customer was talking about and fixed it. We were not offered any of that. They sent no one! When checking out, I asked for a receipt for what was charged to my credit card, and I could write it off on my taxes but they told me I could not have one. I could not believe any of what they did. We did not argue with anyone about this. We were there to because my husband has cancer, and he had appointment at hospital on Thursday. We don't complain about things like this but no one wants to pay for nice room and afraid to sleep there due to being really dirty. We have enough on our mind then to worry about something like that. I was very dissatisfied with the service there and how clean the room was. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again.”

• One of the best views of the city and the lake.
• There is only one way out of the parking lot and it was often blocked by taxis or people being picked up at the front door.

“One of the nicer hotels in Buffalo. It is in a great neighborhood with some of my favorite bars and restaurants. Much better than being downtown with drunks at 4am.”

• Staff is friendly, location is not too bad close to downtown.
• Boring, not too many facilities like microwave or refrigerator in a room.

“Situated on a Delaware ave in Buffalo downtown area. About 5 or 6 story building not too beautiful from interior. For 2 star hotel it doesn't have enough facilities like microwave or refrigerator with in the rooms.”

“Check in was quick and the staff were very friendly. The room was cozy and everything was there that I needed. I would strongly recommend it to others. I love the automatic checkout also so there is no waiting to check out.”

“We stayed here while visiting family in Buffalo. The hotel is well-located and is convenient to most attractions and restaurants in the downtown area. The staff was consistently courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working properly during our weekend trip, but upon being told, the general manager of the hotel provided us with a complementary two-day stay to compensate us for our troubles. His quick and professional response to an admittedly bad situation left us with a positive impression of the property, and we will happily stay there again.”

• The hotel was very clean, rooms were big and overall I had a pleasant stay.
• The location of this hotel wasn't desirable. It was in not so good part of downtown.

• The location was wonderful and the room was spacious and well stocked with sufficient pillows to accommodate children sharing beds! (Without asking!)
• I was totally pleased with my stay.

“I have stayed at a few other Holiday Inns, and this was by far THE NICEST one as it was impeccably clean and well stocked with ample pillows and towels for family travel (without having had to request.) The staff were courteous and friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel not only for quality for a great price but also for its convenient location which is in a safe neighborhood. Close enough to the night life, yet far enough away for it to be quiet and comfortable near a residential neighborhood.”
