• Location.
• Breakfast priced too high for selection 2 people 25.00 most hotels would have been free for what was available.

• Location of this hotel was very good and the room was nice too.
• The cable was not working the morning that we left.

“This is a nice hotel in a good location in Myrtle Beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed anything. The bed was excellent and very comfortable to sleep in. Elevators were a bit slow to arrive when called on, but no big deal there. The hotel is very clean in the lobby area and the pool and whirlpool were clean and nice. The hotel was also very quiet and the parking was ample and well kept. We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.”

• Beautiful contemporary room. Staff was beyond excellent.
• Non smoking and no indoor pool.

“I loved the hotel appearance, beautiful and contemporary. Coffee makers, iron/ironing board, hair dryers all in room. Excellent breakfast buffet, and 24 hour fresh delicious coffee in the lobby. Pool was nice as well as hot tub! Staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. (especially the grave yard shift!). The housekeepers were the BEST! VERY friendly and professional! Everyday they gave me extra coffee and towels! I really enjoyed my stay and will return every year from here on in!”

• Front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant.
• Maid service started at 8 AM, towel shortages daily.

“Very pleasant front desk staff, ample parking, across from Broadway on the Beach, clean. Some rooms had balconies, would highly recommend getting one due to towels. Hotel had paid laundry, no baskets or ways to transport laundry once done though. Swimming pool and area small but clean. Maid service starts very early and does not like to asked to come back, daily shortages of towels. Fair location, about a mile from the beach itself, but a straight shot to just head down the street; community wonderful, people friendly. Glad we started here, now we know what we want next time we come to Myrtle Beach! Front desk staff helped with meal suggestions and sightseeing needs.”

• Door to hall was not sealed properly. Didn't have to turn on bathroom light because light from hall was enough.

• Location was great with Broadway At The Beach just a short walk away.

• Location is very good if you want to be by shopping.
• The location is garbage if you thought you were bidding on a beach hotel.

“If shopping and location is your primary goal, this hotel is a very good choice. It's an honest 2.5 to 3 star hotel. However, if you planned on a beach vacation with a nice view, it's about 10 minutes from the beach.”

• Large parking - close to the Broadway at the Beach.
• Very small pool - expensive breakfast - no helpful when we needed hot water to make meal for kids - main lobby doors open by hands for luggage in/out.

• Outdoor pool, 1mile away from beach, front desk staff, small room.

“The front desk person was rude when I arrived. He assumed I knew the are and seemed to be displeased because I wasn't familiar with it. The other staff was friendly. The hotel room was very small. I called the hotel to ask for a double because I had 2 infants and 2 teens as well as myself and spouse. There was never any towels in the spa area and the door to the pool which has door key access would not shut so any one could enter/exit. I was displeased when I first walked in the door.”

• Every morning the maids room was next to our room and it would wake us up at 8:30 am with glasses hitting each other.

“First and second morning no soap was left after room was cleaned but staff made up for it after we told them. Staff was friendly, room and hotel was clean.”

• Nowhere near the beach and hard to take a family here not enough beds.

• Very clean. Friendly staff.
• No refrigerator in room, no microwave in room, not ocean front, was asked for queen beds & had full size beds, pool was stunk, hotel keys were kept quitting.

“I was very unhappy with the hotel for the price. Wasn't ocean front, it was close to Broadway at the beach but you still had to drive after it was made to look like you were right in Broadway at the beach. No fridge or microwave in the room. But the hotel can afford to put sashes in the rooms. They should use that $ towards a fridge. Me & my friends were very disappointed in the hotel.”

• The way you were treated by some staff.

“The hotel was well located. It was across the street from Broadway at the Beach and approx. 1.2 miles from the beach itself. The hotel was very clean and most staff was very friendly. They had one guy that worked the front that was very rude and not customer friendly and had to file complaint with manager. Overall good stay except for evening clerk.”

• It appeared to be clean. The staff seemed to work very hard for this.
• Everything was really great.

“This hotel is at a good location for Myrtle Beach vacationers. It is close to the beach, but not quite close enough to walk. The hotel was very clean - probably one of the cleanest I have been to. The wireless connection is good and reliable. It's 8.95 for a buffet that is basically continental breakfast. There's a really cute bagel shop right down the road - Turn right out of the parking lot and it's across the first intersection. They have excellent French toast and those famous South Carolina Smiling Faces! During your stay, make sure you go to Murrell's Inlet for some real seafood. Divine's restaurant is excellent.”

• Cleaning service arrived at 9:00 am each morning.

“Reception staff was nice. Cleaning service was bad. They arrived each morning at 9:00 am and the first day, the room wasn't cleaned at all. Food in diner was overpriced, rooms were smaller than expected.”

• When you request three rooms they should be as close together as possible.

“Fire alarms in two of the three rooms did not work (one was missing the other disconnected). Pool lights shined into one room all night long. Two of the three rooms we had were next to each other and the other room was on another floor at the opposite end of the facility. Not to mention almost being hit when hotel staff tried dropping a pile of sheets from second floor to container on ground floor and missing. Have made these problems known to Best Western and an anticipating a reply from the hotel.”

“At arrival I was told there were none. I asked to be moved to a king the next day, but my request was ignored. For two days, there were no wash cloths and one day we did not even receive hand towels. The hotel was a disappointment.”

• A little too far from myrtle beach.

“If you are looking for a friendly staff and clean room this is the hotel for you. But if you want to be on the beach this hotel is one mile from the beach, a little too far to walk if you are worn out from the waves. The hotel staff was most excellent.”

• I was promised a fridge and did not get it, had dirty sheets.

“A month in advance they promised us a refrigerator in our room since we have a baby and we did not receive one. Instead it's a first come first serve basis. The sleeper sofa that was in our room had dirty sheets. The staff said if they change those, the sheets would smell "musty".”

• A Courtyard Marriott should be better than this.

“The location is amazing. Right across from Broadway at the Beach. That having been said, I was disappointed at the overall feel of the place; the bed wasn't comfortable and the folks downstairs didn't give much in the way of professionalism or confidence. (I called on the way to ask about available bed choices and got put on "indefinite hold" - this pretty much defines my experience with them at check-in). On the up side of things: clean, non-smoking only throughout the hotel, great snacks downstairs, and fairly quiet. A well-run 2 star but most certainly not what you'd expect with "Marriott" being part of the name. I was expecting at least a 2.5 to 3 star experience.”

• I really loved the location. Walked across the street to fabulous entertainment.
• Nothing comes to mind.

“This hotel was conveniently located across the street from a wonderful location. We were able to walk across the street to the Ripley's Aquarium, the Hard Rock, the Palace Theater, and some wonderful shopping and clubs. There was also the Imax theater. The room was wonderfully comfortable and spacious. We didn't use many of the amenities but the atmosphere of the hotel was one of relaxation. This feeling was much appreciated as we were only there for the weekend on break from Drill Sergeant School.”

• I liked being away from the beachfront hotels. It was too noisy in that area at night.
• Breakfast was too expensive. The one day we were going to eat there they ended breakfast 30 min before it says they do in their hotel info.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard. The staff was friendly, maid service was excellent. Location was good as it was right across from Broadway at the Beach and not too far from the beach itself. I never felt uncomfortable there with my 4 y/o and 1 y/o children.”

• We washed a very large beetle down the drain. Yikes.

• Only the location.
• The cleanliness was really, bad so disgusting.

“This hotel is no supposed to have the many starts as it has, they need to work more for this, as a customer I don't recommend to nobody. The bathroom tub was dirty, hair/pee stain around the toilet area, the sheets were dirty and it took 30 minutes of my time for their staff to clean it, this was ridiculous, I will never stay in another Marriott again.”
