• Every encounter with staff proved them all to be very courteous and professional.
• I had to go up to the next floor to get ice. A minor nuisance.

• I had to contact the front desk to have my room cleaned in late afternoon.

“Hotel Staff always acted busy and uncaring. I had to contact the front desk to have my room cleaned the second day later in the afternoon otherwise it would not have been serviced.”

• Great gym!
• Old sheets/coverlet on beds, knobby, need to get new ones!

“This hotel is similar to a Red Roof Inn or other motel decent but nothing spectacular. Old furnishings in room, worn out bedding and a tiny bathroom.”

• No continental breakfast.

“The facility as a whole was very clean. I loved the new carpet in my room. I wish my stay would have been a little longer. I would have used the indoor gym and pool.”

• Convenient location for the route we were driving.
• It was shabby and worn - not what I expect from a Courtyard.

“It was worn and tattered around the edges, and the staff was business-like, but not particularly courteous. The smell and noise of the pool (and the wet bouncing inconsiderate children coming out of it) polluted a major passageway entrance we had to pass to get to our room. Very disappointing example compared to my usual experiences with this chain.”

• The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
• One day the room was not cleaned but they tried to offer it to be, I told them I just needed coffee.

• Ground floor rooms had heavy drapes and extra security on windows.
• One member of front desk staff took personal phone call while guests waited.

“Nice hotel. Other than the one front desk person who took a personal phone call while I waited, staff was acceptable. It was convenient that stuff from mini-grocery could be charged to room. Free internet access was nice. TV guide that was in room was out of date.”

• Very helpful staff.
• Very difficult to find. No signs to indicate exit off I-40.

“I was moved to 4 rooms before we found one where the internet service was working. Hotel was not conveniently located. The other Marriott's in the area didn't even know where it was.”

“The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was clean and I encountered no problems while staying there. It is located off of a major highway with several convenient shopping centers and fast food locations within walking distance.”

“The Residence Marriott at Research Triangle, Durham, NC, was a very nice facility. My wife and I arrived at 1:30am from a late flight to Raleigh/Durham AP. We requested (1.5 months earlier) a King size bed and a non smoking room. Upon check-in, we were told we would get a smoker's room with two double beds (not Queen or King).”
