• The hotel clerk refused to give me a room with two beds.

“The hotel clerk refused to give me a room with two beds because it was a suite hotel. I was traveling with my mother and didn't want to share a bed so ended up sleeping on a sleeper sofa.”

• This was not a hotel, it is a motel.
• It's a motel, looks unkempt, a 2 star not a 3 star.

“The motel not a hotel is a cluster of out buildings with exterior staircases nor accessible to the main lobby without car travel! The room was a bit run down, very cheap everything.”

• Room features exceeded my expectations.
• Nothing at all.

“The rooms were awesome. Clean and large, with full modern kitchens, living area, and fireplace. Continental breakfast had hot foods which were delicious. Every staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcome, especially the lady security guard. I got two rooms here at an amazing price through Priceline. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Durham area.”

• The pool was very clean

“Hotel is very comfortable with nice big rooms and ammenities. Nice quiet grounds with nice lawn and shrubs so it is rather peaceful and good for extended stays.”

• The front desk staff was very helpful. They have pre- printed directions to any local place!
• The breakfast staff removed the food before everyone had been served. One trashcan in the room.

“This was a very good hotel. We thought the front desk staff was very friendly and had many helpful tips. The pre-printed directions to major facilities were accurate and very helpful. Having the Southpoint Mall three miles away was a plus! Breakfast could be organized differently. Otherwise, we had no issues and enjoyed coming back to the room every night.”

• Suite was quiet & private.
• I was surprised at how worn and ill-maintained the suite was.

“We expected to be able to take a shuttle from the airport to this hotel, but instead it cost us a $25 taxi ride. The suite was more basic than I expected, but it was clean and the area seemed to be good and convenient to restaurants.”

“Stain on curtain had to complain about leak/wet floor by sink; breakfast only so-so; not enough seats in breakfast area.”

• Good breakfast, convenient location.
• Bedside light did not work.

“Easy access to RTP, restaurants, and some shopping (Saks Fifth Ave discount store). Friendly people, did the job. It's not the Ritz, it's Residence Inn.”

• Very professional staff.
• The door to the room opened to the outside. Very little security.

“I loved the hotel and staff. My main concern with staying there again or recommending it is the security situation. The room door opens to an open area and that left me feeling vulnerable. I prefer a hotel that has indoor entrances to each room along with security cameras.”

• Very large room and easy free parking
• Required guest to sign statement that there would be only 4 people in a room

“This hotel features large rooms with a kitchette in each room. While a family of 5 people can comfortably stay in one room, they hotel forces guests to sign a form stating that there will be no more than 4 people to a room.”
