• The clean rooms.
• Hotel restaurant, don't waste your time.

“This hotel was very clean very well decorated and location was perfect between Myrtle and Murrell's Inlet. The restaurants food was terrible though so we went to cracker barrel many a morning. Their coffee was pretty bad too. The tiki bar was ok and the bartender was very happy to make our drinks anyway we wanted them, but the restaurant has a lot of work to do. The neighborhood the hotel is in is off highway 17 business back in a cute little neighborhood with charming upscale three story beach houses surrounding it. Staff was very friendly but missed our morning room service so that prompted us to go down to eat in the restaurant which we should have taken the hint to go out. Seemed most of the food was microwaved from a pre packaged box and just plain nasty. Really recommend they fire the kitchen/restaurant manager and get some one who cares. Other than that rest of the hotel was great and I would recommend it.”

• Great ocean front location, friendly staff, clean rooms with mini fridges.
• Have many smoking rooms, you might get stuck in one.

“This hotel was a pleasant stay. I'm a little biased as the first night we were put in a smoking room, which meant a terrible night for us. Afterwards, however, we were moved to a non-smoking which made for a much better stay. Staff was pleasant, fitness room was ok not great, pool was small but adequate (we were not there during peak time so it wasn't crowded), and obviously it was oceanfront which made it nice.”

• Nice area- hotel okay.
• I was originally put in a smoking room and because of my allergies. I became ill.

“The hotel was okay, I don't like to stay at places where there are pets. I also didn't like my first room because it was smoking with the sound of the air/heat units by my window. Then I requested another room and was moved to another room which was great. But I was told that I may have to move again for the third day. I called the front desk the third morning and the lady told me that she was not going to move me again.”

• It was very clean and attractive, right on the beach. Nice pool and hot tub. Friendly staff.
• They happened to paint the surrounding areas of the hot tub and pool the days that we were there.

“It was very nice. The staff was friendly and competent. The rooms were clean and attractive. It was very convenient to everything and we enjoyed it very much.”

• The ambiance was very relaxing, the location was wonderful and the price is amazing.
• The check-out was at 10am and because I was 30min late, the manager was compelled to know why I was 30min late for check-out. Did not like the rush.

“I would recommend this hotel. Everything was clean, nicely decorated, great location, and nice and quiet for R&R. Also, the price was great.”

• It was very close to all the attractions.
• It was difficult to locate, hidden behind condos.

“For the most part, this was a nice hotel, but we paid extra to enjoy the beach. However, it was very windy and cool. We saw other hotels inland much cheaper and will defintely stay there next time. It was not worth the extra 50.00 to stay on the beach. The beach was not what we had expected. If you are used to Florida beaches, you will not be happy with this beachfront. You can actually drive on this beach it is so compacted down. No white fluffy sand at all! and seashells impacted in the sand everywhere. Just not a good beach to enjoy.”

“Hotel is not a 3 star hotel. It is old, needs repair in bathrooms, and rooms. I would not recommend this to anyone.”

• Might be bit of a challenge to find if you were not good with finding things.

• Shorefront and has a balcony.
• The hotel refused to provide a oceanfront with balcony room.

• Pillow top mattress. Super hot tub!
• Showerhead water flow too restrictive. Had no pressure.

“It is in a good, quiet location. The bed in my particular room had a pillow top mattress. I slept much better on it than in most hotels I have stayed at. The room should have been laid out better. The television is too old by today's standards. The shower head was way too restrictive, so I went and bought one and changed it out while I was there so I could wash my hair and rinse the soap of my body. Last but not least, I asked for a late checkout. I wanted to sleep an extra hour but was awakened by the sound of housekeeping at their normal time. The night shift person did not communicate to the housekeeping staff, that I asked for and got approval for a later checkout. There was supposed to be no smoking in the elevators, in the halls, or on the top 4 floors. Signs were clearly posted outside each elevator to that effect. The very first night while sitting in the hot tub I observed some people smoking just outside their rooms on those floors. I imagine the hotel staff did not even know, even though there were workers walking around cleaning the area around the pool and hot tub deck.”

• The double beds were short and only big enough for 1 person, luckily there was 2 beds, ask for oceanfront if avail/was told $40.

• It was in a quiet oceanfront location.
• We did not have the option of booking an oceanfront room which is what we wanted.

• Well. There was a huge rat by the closed outside bar. Traps had been set.

“My friends upgraded our room to ocean front. So worth it of course! Hotel very clean, staff was very attentive and professional, great location to everything. Not crowded, pool very clean. A wonderful September getaway.”

• Some of the bedding was damaged by a cigarette and unclean in a nonsmoking room.

“The property was generally favorable but there does need to be some work done on making sure comforters are cleaned between guests. The location is great and staff was generally friendly.”

• Great access to the beach, very clean.
• Breakfast was a bit pricey.

“Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room and hotel, good facilities and exercise room. Easy access to the beach and other Myrtle Beach sights. The music playing at the tiki bar carried over to the beach and gave the whole time at the beach a festive fun atmosphere.”

“They put us in a room that had 2 full size beds for three people. They put us in a smoking room and the sheets smelled like mildew and smoke. Housekeeping ran out of deodorizer. Everyone I talked to complained about this. Beach access was closed at night.”

“I would recommend this hotel as a good place for family, personal, or business travelers. It is clean. It has a great beach area. And, for those who don't want to be in the hustle bustle of the strip in Myrtle Beach it offers a quieter, safer place to enjoy the area. You can't get better if you want a great beach experience.”

• I liked that it was right on the beach.
• The room was a little too small for us and our kids.

“Overall this was a good hotel. All of the staff we came in contact with was very friendly. The room, though small clean and comfortable. (It's not very often I find a hotel bed that doesn't make me wake up with a backache) the pool was nice and clean but I could not say the same for the hot tub which could have used a good cleaning. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”
