• It was very clean!
• Rooms could have been a little bigger.

“The hotel was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Stayed with 3 kids under 8 years old, and no complaints!”

“This hotel was nice and quiet. It had a very nice breakfast buffet and they kept fresh fruit out around the clock for guests. Nice queen sized beds and spacious rooms.”

• The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was updated and clean.
• We got lost trying to get to the hotel. I called to get help but they could not help me. Wish someone would have been able to give me directions.

“Liked this hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was updated with granite counter tops. We got lost trying to find the hotel. Wish the hotel staff would have tried harder to help us find their location. That was frustrating but the hotel exceeded my expectations.”

• Room decor excellent and staff was very helpful and friendly.
• Someone had smoked in the room. Staff offered another room but on 3rd floor.

• I didn't feel like I was entering a 2 star, it was a lot nicer than I would expect for a hotel/motel along I-95.

“I was pleasantly surprised to get such clean and comfortable amenities alongside I-95. We were expecting just a clean place to lay our heads for the night and got a lot more for the money. We stopped at the same place on the way back up I-95.”

• The small fitness center.

“This is a great hotel for a short stay while visiting family. I will stay here again in the future. It's convenient to I95, stores and restaurants. This has to be one of the better places to stay in South East NC.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• We asked an employee where the Cracker Barrel was and she looked at us like we were stupid and sarcastically said next door.

“This hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was only one incident that puts a bad twist to our trip. My husband and I worked most of the day and then drove 9 1/2 hours to get to the hotel. It was midnight when we arrived and we were exhausted. The next morning when were checking out, we asked an employee that was leaning on the front counter, where the Cracker Barrel was because we were meeting someone there for breakfast. She looked at us like we were stupid and sarcastically replied, "It's next door." My husband replied to her, "Oh, okay, thanks. It was midnight when we got here and we didn't go looking for it." If someone is a guest at a hotel, I think it is a safe bet to say they are most likely from out of town.”

• I liked the complimentary internet access to guests in privacy room.
• Nothing.

“I enjoyed the excellent complimentary breakfast buffet. The choices were pleasing to every taste preference. I enjoyed the complimentary internet access in a private room off the lobby area. The queen size bed was incredibly comfortable and I would like a bed like that in my own home. I very much enjoyed the location and proximity to the interstate access.”

• Comfortable bed, nice breakfast buffet, complimentary newspaper for guests.
• Could use a little more outdoor landscaping and maybe some grassy areas.

“A good choice for an overnight stay for those traveling up or down the east coast on I-95. Very clean, pleasant accommodations and location is about the halfway point from Jacksonville, FL to Washington D.C.”

“The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The stay was better than I had anticipated. The complementary breakfast was good and the hotel was located next to a restaurant that was child friendly. I also felt safe traveling with my children without my husband.”

• The pool was never open.

“It was comfortable and clean. The only real disappointment was that the pool was very small, and was never open during our stay. After traveling on the road on a very hot day and the kids looking forward to it all trip, it was very disappointing.”

• Lobby decor was too fussy.

“Staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. The beds unexpectedly plush and comfortable. The hot breakfast exceeded expectations and the staff worked really hard to insure we were all well fed. This was our first experience with the Fairfield chain. We will definitely stay again.”

• As always Marriott hotels are nice.
• I did not notice any thing wrong.

“This hotel is a great choice to stay for business. It is well worth the money. Rooms are very clean and smoke free, the hotel stuff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is more then just a donut. I believe this hotel should be 2.5 stars not just 2.”

• The staff was very friendly and out of their way to be helpful.
• It took 2 days for the computer to be fixed.

“I had a wonderful stay, the beds were great, staff very helpful and friendly even to the point of remembering our room number when we came in and needed something. Breakfast very good, waffles delicious, and the times for breakfast very accommodating All things considered, I would rate this hotel an A+ and up there with the one in Denver, Phoenix and Sacramento.”

• Renovation not complete & we were not warned!

“It WILL be fine but it said "newly renovated" and it was only "in process"! Not fair! One ice machine for entire motel, tools everywhere, etc. But what was finished was nice and the breakfast was great. Good for $45 but not for $89/night. ”

“Nice location for an overnight if driving up I-95. Hotel was under renovation when we visited, so there were many workers in the hallways and in the lobby laying tile and carpet. However they were respectful of customers and not a big problem. Nice beds & room furnishings. Cracker Barrel right next door. The family was happy staying here.”

• The room was not cleaned...dirty towels on floor bed not made.

“The hotel was under construction. our room was last room available, the room was not clean. There were dirty towels on the floor, bed was not made. It looked like someone had just left. I had to wait 30 minutes at 11pm while the front desk attendant removed the dirty towels and made the bed with clean sheets. I will never stay at a Fairfield inn again..”

“Since I didn't call ahead to request a nonsmoking room, I (and my family) were given a SMOKING room, which required us to open a window before going out for dinner, to alleviate the odor. And a single bed, instead of 2 doubles. The year before we hadn't asked for these items (non-smoking, dbl-beds) but were given them anyway.”
