• The location was perfect for our weekend plans.
• The hotel doors has an opening of at least 2 inches from the floor to the bottom of the door and the noise level was not enjoyable.

“Hotel was descent, however for the price I spent I have stayed at better hotels. I could not believe how poorly the room doors were. I was able to hear everyone who walk past the door. I felt my privacy was not secure. If I heard everyone who walked past, I'm sure they could hear everything I said.”

“The hotel is very close to the Rainbow Bridge into Canada and it is within walking distance to the New York State Park. The common facilities look attractive. The problem was the cleanliness of the room and the air conditioning unit.”

• Bathroom was a bit on the small side.

“The hotel is located across the street from the Seneca Casino and just a few blocks away from Prospect Park (which includes the primary falls overlook and access to the Maid of the Mist). The Pub restaurant in the hotel was pretty good, too, if a bit overpriced. Parking was free, after getting the lot ticket validated. The hotel lobby was always busy, but the room floors were quiet. Recommended, overall.”

• The beds were extremely comfortable.
• The physical layout of the hotel meant that hotel rooms face each other, decreasing privacy.

“Overall, the hotel is one of the best choices in Niagara Falls, USA. It was packed with families and business travelers from a variety of cultures. The staff was exceptionally helpful. The beds were plush, although the remainder of the room was small. It appears as though portions of each room were renovated, but the carpets look old. There were a number of insects in the first room.”

“This is a great place to stay if you are going to Niagara Falls. It is right across the border from the Canadian Falls, within easy walking distance. So, you can stay in a great hotel. They even validate your parking!”

• We liked everything about the hotel and our rooms.

“The hotel was beautiful. Very clean with a very friendly environment. Our room was beautiful with the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in! The bathroom felt luxurious with marble countertops and a tiled shower stall. I would stay at this hotel again without any hesitations!”

• The restaurant needed some ceiling work done.

“This hotel was wonderful, the staff was friendly and the convenience was nice. You didn't have to fight for parking as there was a parking lot to the left for the hotel parking. You get a ticket when parking and take it to the front desk to get stamped so you don't have to pay for the parking, otherwise it would be $10.00 a day if you forget to get it stamped!”

• Great location - close to falls and casino. Nice room.
• Stench of smoke in hall and room. That is a huge issue and even bigger issue because I had the kids with me. Guy at breakfast buffet was rude - rushed us.

“Hotel was nice. There should be some way to indicate non-smoking requirements. The stench was disgusting in our hallway and remnants of the smell of cigarette smoke were in our room. Other than that, the hotel was nice. The waiter in the restaurant for breakfast was awesome! However, the guy manning the buffet made no bones about the fact that we, at 10:45 am, had to hurry up and get what we wanted because they were closing the buffet and why did we come down so late? Unbelievable! Is there something going on with hotel restaurant staff? This is the second time I've run into hotel restaurant staff (Holiday Inn in Sarnia recently) where the waitress/staff were not only not pleasant, but downright rude and unwelcoming.”

• Room was dirty; shower moldy, tub grunge, dirty rugs sparse hangers, full of dust all over room.

“Hotel was centrally located and across the street to the casino. Good food in restaurant, and entry to star bucks from hotel lobby nice. All externals were nice in the hotel. Our room, however, was filthy. Multiple stains on carpet, dusty, shower/tub mold on tile grout, tub grunge, sheets looked like they were not changed from previous guest (I found 2 hairs under the pillows when I first opened up the sheets, and a bunch of small brown dust-like things in the bottom of the bed. We asked for a non-smoking room, and the sheets smelled of smoke. My husband was bitten in 4 places on his body, and I had to run out and get an antibiotic crème for the bites. I think there were bedbugs here. The hotel claimed there were no other "non-smoking" rooms available. I would never stay here again, or recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• The location was perfect for touring the Falls. It was clean and safe. Very family friendly.
• The hotel did not have a hot tub and the lifeguard in the pool area was an old grumpy man.

“This hotel was perfect for a family. The location was perfect for touring the Falls on the American and Canadian side. We were able to walk to many attractions and it was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only bad thing was the fact that there was no hot tub in this hotel and the lifeguard in the pool area was a grumpy old man.”

“Check in was a breeze. Requested a king room and had a double but they quickly accommodated. Hotel had gift bags on the bed with a sleep package (mask, ear plugs, soothing music CD). Originally heard kids running in the hall but not for long and we slept through the night on their comfy bed without using any of their sleep package freebies. Definitely would stay again. Never moved our car; just walked from one thing to another as it's so close.”

• Carpet was wet in first room, check in time was at 4 and did not allow early check in.

“Check in time was at 4 pm. They did not allow early check in even at 3.15 pm. They made everyone stand in line for 4 pm check in but did not care about people who jumped in to avoid the queue. They allowed 4 person to be checked in who jumped in front of me even after when they know that they are not standing in line. The first room given had its carpet wet and soaked in water. They offered a room change but it smelled like a smoking room when I have asked for a non smoking room.”

• The beds where great! The room was clean.
• The people at the travel booth. The tour was not what they said it would be.

“The hotel was great. I liked everything about it. You could walk to everything. The room were great. They had everything you needed in they I would stay there again! Just don't use the Gray Line Tours. We took the Presidential Tour and it was nothing like the said it would be! Half the things we were to see it was dark out side so you could not see them but they told me it did not matter we got to go.”

“The hotel lobby was small and crowded. There were only two employees checking guests in and there was a long line. When we finally checked in my husband asked for a king size bed instead of two doubles only if we could get a rollaway for our 18 year old daughter. We checked into our room and found it stuffy but damp and moldy smelling. We left to go out for the evening and returned to find no rollaway bed. I called the front desk and was told that they were out of them - they were first come first served, even though we had requested one earlier. We asked to change to a room with two smaller beds and were told that they were all booked. They did offer to send up blankets so that someone could sleep on the floor. Those blankets never arrived. We had a miserable night with no sleep. The next day when we were checking out, my husband told the person at the desk about our ordeal. She said she was sorry and offered us free lunch at the hotel restaurant. We ate our free lunch and left.”

“This hotel has friendly and helpful staff, it is a short walk to Falls, The Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds, all located within the NY State Park. And with the casino just across the street what more could you want. With a short drive or walk across the bridge to Canada you can get the great view of the falls without all the additional expense.”

• This is a decent hotel on the New York side of Niagara Falls. I have stayed at this hotel before, and am, overall, pleased with their service.
• The air conditioner in the room was loud. Also, a room with two double beds was not available. The cot they provided was uncomfortable.

“I will stay at this hotel again. It is a decent hotel on the New York side of Niagara Falls. The hotel is clean, with comfortable rooms.”

• Very clean, very near to falls, very pleasant. You have everything in and around hotel.
• I do not see any negative points at this hotel.

“Stayed for one night and excellent experience. Nice beds and nice location. You have casino right in front of the hotel and falls just minutes walk away. You can save a lot of time and parking fee. Just do math before selecting a hotel which is far from the attractions.”

• Free internet, HD TV, AC wireless control, quality of bed (pillows etc.).
• Little noisy AC, shower and sink were in one room.

“Hotel accepted my request to change rooms with 2 queen beds after occupying (was 1 king and additional folding bed). Less waiting time for elevators. But sink should be separated from the bathroom so that people should not need to wait to brush their teeth while another person is showering.”

• Only 2 elevators situated at one end and hotel room was at the other end. So lot of walking from elevator from room.

• Not only was it a very nice hotel with modern attractive room furnishings, but parking was free, and it was a short walk to the falls.
• I can't think of anything I didn't like about this hotel.

“Perfectly located within walking distance of all the sights and sounds of the American Falls, the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls New York is quite likely the best hotel in the city. It has modern furnishings in the large attractive rooms, a standard of cleanliness that exceeds most places I've seen, and friendly knowledgeable staff that could gave us excellent advice on the best places to eat. I would not hesitate to stay there again; in fact I can't wait to do so.”
