• All rooms had a view of the beach, just out the door.
• The light switch was outside the bathroom for the bathroom.

“The hotel was nice. Rooms were slightly small, but on a vacation, I hope you are not staying in a hotel room but to sleep or change clothes. Beach access was wonderful. Not over crowded.”

“Great location, friendly staff, but the carpet outdoor walkways stayed wet the entire time. Hotel room was nice but very small, and we had to keep the AC cranked to keep it from being damp. Shower had drainage issues in spades. Also, the "pool" is so small it was kind of hilarious. Beds were nice though, and it's right on the beach. Ok for the price but don't try having more than 2 people in a room unless you want to climb over each other.”

• Close to the beach, good beds and nice continental breakfast.
• Noisy, very family oriented, messy hallways, walls were thin and parking was a challenge.

“This hotel is very nicely located right on the beach. It is a very family oriented hotel. If you are looking for somewhere romantic go elsewhere. The walls were quite thin and I could hear the neighboring rooms bathroom fan running and a man snoring in the next room. It was reasonably priced but not a hotel I would go to again. Isle of Palms was beautiful.”

“The hotel was great for our vacation. The rooms were small, but they were clean and the shower was real nice. The location was great and the staff was friendly. The only thing that I didn't like was the five dollar a day parking.”

• Rooms too small for family, need to get two rooms.

“Hotel room was nice but too small for my family of 5 (2 adults, 2 boys, 1 toddler), I will stay again but I will be getting two rooms next time. We did have a problem but the staff was very quick to correct.”

• The Windjammer next door played music until 2 a.m.

“It was overall decent because we mostly were on the beach all day. However when we were there at night, the Windjammer next door played loud music/live bands until it closed at 2 a.m. It was not pleasant and was difficult to sleep.”

• Room was really cramped and smelled musty. Had to pay for parking.

“The hotel is located close to the beach and has a nice terrace overlooking the water. The rooms are small and amenities are few. Wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, which I think was because the remodel job wasn't professional (tile improperly set, etc.) The town of Isle of Palms is very quaint and is great for a getaway where you don't want any night life, stores or entertainment. Maybe good for a honeymoon where you don't want to see or talk to anyone.”

• Location was perfect. The hotel was undergoing remodeling so it was difficult to really rate fairly.
• Our room was very small.

• I was not told the pool would be closed for remodel.

“The hotel was nice. The rooms were clean. I did not see any bugs. It is an older hotel, however you can not beat the location. We were disappointed that we were not informed that we would not be able to use the pool. Having a pool, and seeing how nice it looked on the roof top was part of the reason I chose this hotel.”

• It's cleanliness and it's location on the beach and near restaurants and clubs.
• The shared balcony and the beach view was not seen as expected.

“I don't spend a great deal of time in the room when I travel. This hotel served it's purpose in giving me immediate access to the beach and to some dining and fun in other surrounding places. The staff is friendly and efficient. I will definitely recommend and return to this hotel.”

• It had very clean and comfortable rooms with great bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
• They need some kind of table or desk and chair in room but rooms are small.

“We were there in the off season so it was quiet and very clean. rooms are lovely and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations of places to eat. Parking is a little difficult unless you have a small car.”

• Loud bar across the street on Friday and Saturday nights.

“Great location and room for the money. Go during the off-season and you won't have to worry about parking. Hotel has parking across the street but we found parking steps from hotel in the median that was free. Great restaurants and nightlife nearby with a short walk to a public park.”

• Continental breakfast provided minimal selections of prepackaged food only.

“Great location on isle of palms with easy access to Downtown Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. Beachfront access is great with large sandy beach that the Carolinas are known for. Standard queen room did not have a desk for a laptop. Wireless access provided good connectivity. Bathrooms are very spacious with tile and oil brushed brass factures. Continental breakfast did provide a large selection, so we decided to eat a local diner across the street. Overall this good hotel in a great location.”

• The hotel room was clean and decorated nicely. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.
• No desk to work from. TV was small and reception was fuzzy.

“Overall, I had a good experience. The only reason I wouldn't stay there again is because they did not have a desk for me to do my work. However, they did have free wireless in every room.”

• No desk in the room (free internet, but no place to work).

“What a great little hotel. In another setting it would be disappointing, but positioned right on the beach. Wow! While nothing special as a hotel, it was clean and nicely operated. The room was ok, with a great tiled bathroom and shower (bathroom was otherwise a bit sparse). The bed was comfortable, but there was no desk to do any kind of work, but who wants to in such a nice location. Everything you need is within a few minutes walking and Charleston is maybe 15 or 20 minutes away. Great little hotel.”

“It was a great place to stay. Inexpensive. Only a few minor problems. Shower curtain and towels were dirty. There was no parking and you had to pay to park your car. Also no washer or dryer in the hotel or internet access. Otherwise it was pretty good.”

• The room had great furniture and a walk in tile shower. Also the hotel was on the beach.
• Have to pay $5 for parking or park on the street with quarters.

“Except for parking, it was a great experience. I had a beautiful classy room. The hotel is in walking distance to tourist shops, restaurants and clubs. It was not a great day for the beach, which was why I got the room so cheaply for a hotel directly on the beach. They had a free continental breakfast and the staff was friendly.”

• The rooms were small especially for 2 beds - door hit second bed.

“We enjoyed our stay at the seaside inn. The rooms are updated and have nice decor. The rooms are equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave which is convenient. The hotel is located on the beach which is very nice. However, the room was not very big. We had two queen beds and we had a little difficulty getting out the door because the end of the first bed was right at the door. But overall we enjoyed our stay.”

“The hotel was clean and the rooms very modern and spacious. The location was excellent on the oceanfront of a very nice beach with restaurants and shopping within walking distance. It was also a very short drive to mount pleasant and downtown Charleston for easy access to all the town offers. I would definitely stay here again. Particularly, during warmer months.”

• Parking was limited. Had to park a block away-motel lot full.

“Room was clean ocean view. Walk to the beach was short get there early for parking in the motel lot. Right next door to a music venue, but noise was not an issue. Complimentary breakfast was adequate-take to your room type of items. Friendly staff. Southern hospitality evident.”

“This is a lovely hotel with a most comfortable bed and fluffy towels with a great beach atmosphere. It is centrally located on the Isle of Palms, convenient to shopping, dining, leisurely strolls on the beach and beach entertainment. A most relaxing atmosphere.”

“I found the Seaside Inn to be a charming small hotel. The hotel was right on the beach with a deck on the second floor overlooking the ocean. The rooms were clean, nice and well furnished. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was within easy walking distance to several restaurants and in a safe area.”

• Loud bar next door.

“The hotel was nice except when we arrived into the room later at night to discover the bar next door rocking at peak volume until the wee hours of morning. Half of the hotel is facing the bar.”
