“Excellent hotel, across the bay from Charleston. Beautiful city, great location with view, very clean and attractive hotel, nice people and quiet. Enjoyed being just down the road from the bridge between Charleston and Mt Pleasant SC. This is our 3rd stay, and 3rd time I used Priceline.” Sep 13, 2009 by
Sandy from Chesterfield,MO
“This hotel is very elegant and lovely. The area is like a small resort away from all the noise of the city, but close enough to be able to take time to see the city and still enjoy the resort.” Sep 11, 2009 by
Tyra from Munford,AL
“This is the place to stay! and if in the area again I would definitely stay at this hotel. The surrounding area is nice and I we felt very safe.” Aug 26, 2009 by
Mike from Greer,SC
“We had dirty pillow cases, looked to be stained. Does not deserve the rating for the price. Would not stay there again.” Aug 16, 2009 by
mary from Canton,NC
“very resort feeling with good service but the basic was still just a hotel, hopefully new expansion will increase the feeling of a resort” Aug 4, 2009 by
becky from Matthews,NC “Hotel is old. It has moisture problems. Very small rooms. Not convient to anything!!!!!!!!!!” Jul 11, 2009 by
Dave from North Bend,WA
“Motel was very nice. Purchased two rooms. They were very dis-similar. One had a flat screen, wall unit, ceiling fan and a premium bathroom with a jet bath. The other a regular T.V. a normal bathroom and nothing else fancy. A very nice but boring room. Both rooms were nice. One of the better hotels that myself or other family members had seen or stayed in. Definitely worth the money a made for a pleasant stay. Only caveat. The breakfast was a rip off. We arrived for breakfast late (about one hour before the posted end time). They did not replenish the food trays. They charged $16.00 a plate for fruit and thats about all. There were no eggs, meats, potatoes or other sides available. They did not inform us of this. They charged full fare for a limited menu. We should have been informed of the limited menu prior to being seated. The breakfast was very disappointing and degraded what would have been a great stay.” Jun 22, 2009 by

“I would have rated the resort higher had it not been for what happen with my arrival. I arrived 30 minutes before the check in time at 4 PM. The front desk clerk informed me that my room would not be available until 4 PM but I could get into a suite immediately if I wanted to pay $40 additional a day. I decided to wait until 4 PM. When I returned at 4 PM, the front desk clerk informed me that my room had been given to someone else and that the resort would now give me a suite at no additional charge. It seemed to me that the resort had given my room away prior to 4 PM and had already decided to put me in another room. The suite that I was given was next to the noisy chiller, under the laundry, and fitted for the handicap. When the dryers were operating, the hot air rose up to my balcony. I was not impressed by the resorts attempt to make me pay for their mistake or for the suite that I was given.” Apr 15, 2009 by
Ning from Charlotte,NC
“The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a nice vacation overall. There is construction noice going on outside our room. It's a bit pricy for the space of the room.” Apr 11, 2009 by
Pat from Solon,OH
“Pleasant.” Jan 5, 2009 by

“Resort was under construction. Trash receptacles, size of Kleenex box, no trash bags and no large receptacles accessible. Management staff was unsympathetic and uncooperative. Baggage carts were limited and require attendance from staff at all times. Avoid this place.” Nov 20, 2008 by
Ann from Darien,IL
“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the room was bright and clean.” Sep 29, 2008 by

“Only stayed for a night, but the staff was very nice. Wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the amenities.” Sep 10, 2008 by

“Wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, not large, but was very comfortable and well appointed. The resort is beautiful and the pool/beach area is quite lovely. We dined off site, but in reviewing the menu, the prices didn't seem fair.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Mildred from Statesville, NC
“From the entrance through the entire resort is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this resort to someone else.” Jul 17, 2008 by
Nadine from Portland, OR
“This resort hotel is situated about 20 min away from downtown Charleston via water taxi and about 10 minutes via car. It is lovely, beautifully decorated and has a very accommodating staff who were very helpful. I loved my well appointed room, loved the view. Found the staff went out of their way for me in recommending things to see and even walking around the hotel to find a hose to wash off my sandy aqua socks. For families they had special activities and equipment to rent for the pool etc.” Jul 14, 2008 by
Lisa from Marion, NC
“Great attention to detail. Bedding very comfortable and reasonable prices for everything. Atmosphere is amazing with sandy beach with dock and multiple ways to travel to downtown Charleston. You feel that you are in luxury in everyway.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Linda from Danbury, CT
“The size of the Charleston Harbor Resort was just right; not too large or busy with crowds. It was quiet, beautifully decorated both in the lobby and the room and their man-made sandy beach beside the pool looking out to the harbor was spectacular. I hope to be able to stay again when in Charleston. What a great tucked - away find!” Jul 11, 2008 by
Jon from Simpsonville, SC
“Great place to stay just minutes to Downtown Charleston and Sullivans island (a non-touristy beach).” Jul 8, 2008 by
Eric from Asheville, NC
“Very well appointed public areas, fantastic views and well intended staff. Rooms are basic with substandard baths, televisions and lighting.” Jun 29, 2008 by
Lisa from Greenville, SC
“We arrived very late, close to midnight. We were exhausted. When we woke up we realized that we were in an unclean room. Used soap, trash in the trash cans, used towels and the guest before us left a pair of expensive sunglasses. We went to the front desk. Not only were they less than helpful in accommodating out needs for the expected toiletries and clean towels because the house keeping office was closed, but there was no manager on duty. I was promised that I would receive a call from the manager. Three days later still no word from the hotel or anyone from the property management.” May 24, 2008 by
D from Norcross, GA
“Overall, I had a good experience. The hotel was a good value and was quiet and well located for nautical views.” Apr 13, 2008 by
Mary C. from Lakeland, FL
“I'd definitely stay here again. I walked into the hotel room after a long business trip (this was the last night. From the choice of flooring to the bed, bathroom, and view I was extremely happy.” Apr 4, 2008 by
Fred from Novato, CA
“Very pretty; nice location; across the bay from Charleston; provided shuttle service each 2 hours. Extra charges for refrigerator; rooms beautiful. Wireless reception very poor in rooms, so had to use computer in lobby. Adjacent to Maritime Museum where you can board battleship, aircraft carrier, and submarine: fascinating: must see. Staff friendly.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Chris from Atlanta, GA
“Have stayed here in the past, would stay again.” Mar 29, 2008 by
Cathy from Arden, NC
“Beautiful setting for a hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was neat and clean.” Mar 8, 2008 by
Michael from Chicago, IL
“We had a great room and a great view of Historic Charleston from our window. Great place to get out of the city but close enough to get anywhere quickly.” Mar 6, 2008 by
Scott from Greenville, SC
“Beautiful location and hotel close to all of the attractions in Charleston. Service was very good.” Feb 17, 2008 by
Michael from Snellville, GA
“Nice place, friendly staff, quiet and secluded. Nice place to go to just get away.” Feb 14, 2008 by
Ryan from Greer, SC
“This is a great hotel. Patriot's Point is a great area of town, but the hotel is all the way at the end of the point. If you know anything about the South Carolina coastline, you know that there is never a straight-shot from point A to point B. You do have to wind around to get to the hotel.” Feb 13, 2008 by
Linda from Woodstock, GA
“Very nice. Great location. Seems to attract more of a younger crowd. Rooms are nice. Suites are very nice. Recommend you request a room away from the college crowd before all upgrades have been given away. We enjoyed our stay once they moved us shortly after we checked in.” Feb 6, 2008 by
Steve from Dacula, GA
“Small rooms, quiet location, clean rooms, friendly staff.” Jan 18, 2008 by
Patti from Gainesville, GA
“Great location on Patriot's Point in Mount Pleasant, SC. It is right next to the Yorktown at the marina and a Military Museum, so my fiancé loved it. It is right on the water and they had an oyster roast on Saturday. Convenient to everything. There is a water taxi that can take you to historic Charleston which is right across from Patriot's Point. There is also a trolley that can take you to and from the resort to historic Charleston. Loved it here.” Jan 17, 2008 by
Barry from Quincy, FL
“Hotel staff was great. I loved the location. I would definitely stay there again.” Jan 8, 2008 by
Bethany from Atlanta, GA
“This is a lovely location and nicely decorated rooms. There was a lot of machine noise in the night - perhaps heating sounds, though much more than what you would expect - made it difficult to sleep.” Jan 5, 2008 by
Patrick from Warner Robins, GA
“This is a great hotel. The rooms are a little smaller than we are used to. If Patriot's Point is your destination than Charleston Harbor is your hotel. When you exit the hotel, you are right next to the park. Easy access to the Cooper River Bridge makes this hotel easy access to downtown. I would recommend this hotel if you do not need lots have room.” Jan 4, 2008 by
Keith N. from Belmont, NC
“Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Marina, water taxi makes this area of Mt. Pleasant a plus for visitors.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Maureen from Charlotte, NC
“It was nice to stay at an attractive waterfront hotel that was affordable. The front desk staff was particularly helpful with special needs. The only down side was that the air conditioning did not cool effectively, but at the late hour, we did not call for maintenance.” Nov 27, 2007 by
Harry from Roswell, GA
“The staff was friendly. They will try to upgrade your room and view for $30 additional nightly. My room was typical beach colors, yellow and blue and was spacious. No coffee in room. Apparently my room was next to a large boiler or heater and each time it came on it was very loud and I could feel the vibrations in my room.” Oct 3, 2007 by
Joyce from Sylvania, GA
“We got a room with a view of the dumpsters. All the rooms are non smoking unless you wish to pay an extra $50 for a balcony room where you can go outside to smoke even in inclement weather or pay a $400 fine for smoking in the room. The decor is gaudy (electric yellow and neon blue). The air conditioning was extremely noisy even when turned off. However the room colors kept us awake anyway.” Oct 2, 2007 by
Randy from West Columbia, SC
“This hotel looks very nice outside; the rooms are average (the sheets were stained with something). The computers were down, so we couldn't check in for 2 hours. There are no lights in or directly by the pool or spa. Parking is hard to come by. I expected this hotel to be a lot nicer than it was.” Oct 2, 2007 by
Sharon from Underwood, IN
“I loved the atmosphere and location but had a hard time getting into hotel and obviously with a check in time of 4:00 it is hard when you get in town to do anything without getting into the room first and our time was late instead of early, staff was not very accommodating regarding this.” Oct 2, 2007 by
Debbie from Myrtle Beach, SC
“From the outside, the hotel looks fabulous with all the trimmings of a 3+ star hotel. However, the staff is very cold and unfriendly and seemingly unwilling to help. The room we stayed in on the 2nd floor was in desperate need of a remodel. The carpet was dingy and the furniture tired. The toilet was mostly dysfunctional from the moment we checked in. We reported it, but to no avail. On a good note, the hotel's location beside a marina and next to a battleship museum is wonderful. There are many nice walkways right on the water. And the hotel stocks the bathrooms with Gilchrest & somas bath products. I would not stay here again unless the staff was sent to "customer service school" and the rooms were remodeled.” Sep 26, 2007 by
Paul from Sanford, NC
“Had 3 people in room and with two beds, hardly room to turn around. No coffee in room and after going to lobby found an urn of cold coffee. Beautiful location and view but was charged extra for a view other than of the parking lot. (We paid) very lovely place to walk with nice boardwalk connecting to yacht club and USs Yorktown moored nearby.” Sep 25, 2007 by
Dana from Chicago, IL
“Overall very good experience. I was surprised to find that we did not have any of the problems that other travelers complained about. The hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful.” Sep 24, 2007 by
John from Cumberland, ME
“The hotel itself was fine, but I had to wait close to an hour to check in. I was earlier than the 4 pm check in time.” Sep 19, 2007 by
Frank from Callao, VA
“This hotel has some rooms with balconies and some without. They gave us a room without a couch and had two hard chairs. We watched TV from the bed. The air-condition was stuck, and the room was 60 degrees. The air condition also stopped running and it was hot! After two nights with three visits from maintenance (all visits indicated the problem was fixed) we were offered another room which was considered an upgrade. This room had a balcony and cabinet space, small refrigerator, updated bath & shower, and was quite nice. The sales technique at this motel is give the worst they have then try to upgrade you!” Sep 18, 2007 by
Aj from Lawrenceville, GA
“The staff was great; hotel was clean and nicely decorated.” Sep 18, 2007 by
Piper O. from Maryville, TN
“Right on Patriots point. You can see the aircraft carrier from the front of the hotel. Close to downtown Charleston. The room was clean. Only complaint, there was a row of cabinets in the room which are useless unless you are staying a month in the hotel. The cabinets took up about three foot of the room making it a bit small between the beds and the cabinets. These need to be removed to make the room larger.”
