• It was very nice, I like the fact that we could not hear any airplanes at all even being right next to the airport.
• Nothing.

“Great location and plenty of parking, very nice gym and the pool area. Everyone was so nice. Even though there were several different venues going on we did not have any trouble with noise in the hallway. We will stay there again if we have to go to NC.”

• The rooms were clean.
• The resturants close entirely too early and the shutter in the morning to airport doesn't start until 7am. What a disservice to guest!

• We loved the indoor and outdoor pool. We loved the concierge lounge.
• The pool was slightly over chlorinated and nothing major.

“We loved this hotel. The staff was friendly and professional. We loved the concierge lounge where we could relax and spread out a bit and use computers, etc. The room was very clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Overall, it was a relaxing and fun experience.”

• Staff, for the most part, was friendly, a few were having a bad day.
• Maid service was elective with no sign or means of knowing you would not have fresh linen.

“This is a well maintained facility with ample parking. Pool was nice, modern and with clear water. Exercise room was also nice. Rooms were clean and updated. I would certainly stay here again.”

• They had no rooms with 2 queen beds. The list shows a breakfast buffet. Once there, we were told it was open from 7:00-7:30 only (on Saturday).

“Nice for a 3 start but we get the same and more from most 2 star hotels PLUS a free breakfast. Not worth the extra money. We can't believe people pay the full price. We felt we overpaid for what we got and what we wanted. Next time we'll just go back to Best Western or Comfort Suites.”

• Location and initial appearance.

“Had to call for sheets, blankets etc. The blankets were more like a flannel sheet than a blanket. The room was noisy and needless to say uncomfortable for sleeping. Needless to say after a night of very little sleep I was delighted to have an early morning flight out. This practice should be forbidden.”

• A little out of the way - perfect for airline travel.

“The hotel was perfect for overnight stays if you are an airline employee or frequent traveler. The location is about 10 minutes away from big name restaurants and such. It is the closet hotel to the local airport. Very nice hotel and worthy of the three star rating!”

• Hotel is under construction, right outside our window although they did not start work until 09:00. Room was subject to lobby noise.

“For the rating of hotel, I expected a good nights sleep which I did not get due to noise in halls and children or youth running hallway. We have stayed there before and never had a problem. Would appreciate when there are groups with children, that the staff not put a couple on a hall with a big group.”

• Extremely small room located in the nosiest part of the hotel (outside entrance).

“The hotel was nice. Passed some other rooms on the same floor the next morning while they were being cleaned. Much bigger and seemed like they had better decor and upkeep. I think I was treated as a second class citizen because of the price and was extended. I felt that complaining would have been futile.”

• Need wireless internet access in the rooms and not charge $10 per day to use your own computer.
• Was charged $10 per day to use my own computer. Have you not heard about wireless internet?.

“Heavy construction in the area to create better traffic flow from the airport. A little confusing when trying to find the hotel with the GPS system. Hotel does not offer wireless internet service. So be prepared to be charged $10 per day to use your own laptop. Great hotel, friendly and very nicely decorated.”

“The hotel was extremely conveniently located, essentially on airport Property. The fact that they charge for internet usage was less than ideal for me as a business traveler, I ate dinner in the bar and the atmosphere was not extremely welcoming to a solo traveler, but my meal was great. I will probably sacrifice convenience in location for some other amenities that are important to me and spend a little less next time.”

“A very nice hotel located just a short distance from the airport but with very little noise. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel is situated in a pretty setting with generous parking available. The staff was attentive and eager to help to make my stay an enjoyable one. I would definitely stay there again if returning to the same area.”

• The food from the on-site restaurant was awesome!
• The rooms could have been a bit bigger.

“This hotel was extremely clean, accommodating, comfortable and relaxing. My husband just wanted to give me a break from the kids for a day. The decor of the room was nice and clean. The room could have been a bit bigger. The size of the room wasn't a huge issue at all, considering the comfort of the bed, great movie selection, and awesome on-site restaurant selections. We'll definitely return!”

“I would say to anyone that is looking for quality with in most peoples budget, this is the one. The beds at this hotel simply relax you and take away your cares until you have to leave to face what that next day brings. If staying in the Greensboro, North Carolina area, I would say stay here for a few days and relax.”

• Smelled smoke in the room. Other guests were unruly, knocking on our door twice in the middle of the night.

“Facility was fine, experience was not. Other guests were loud, rowdy, running and playing in the hallway, and knocked on our door twice in the middle of the night. Also, we could smell cigarette smoke in our non-smoking room.”

“It was fine and you could not hear the planes at all for its location next to the airport. The bathrooms were small and when others opened and closed their doors, our door jumped, so you always heard them. The quality of the bed was great and the service was wonderful however. Overall, good for staying next to the airport for morning flights, but not close to anything to do. It is almost like being on a deserted island.”

“The hotel was in a very remote location. However it was nice when we needed to fly out in the morning. I believe the airport is the ONLY draw for this hotel. We didn't have any choice but to eat at the hotel (due to its remote location), yet we were surprised at the pub grub we had in the "sports bar", it was very good.”

• Proximity to airport (on site) the gentleman at front desk 2nd shift 1/21/08 was exceptionally friendly, yet professional. Liked having a balcony.
• Bartender was cold & drinks expensive.

“If you need a hotel because of an early or late flight at go, this is the only one you want. It is on the property. We walked out of our room and were curbside at the airport in 5 minutes flat.”

“Fitness center was called state of the art and was anything but that. Treadmills were at least five years old or more (hardly state of the art) and two of the three treadmills didn't even work! Very disappointing for a Marriott.”

• The hotel was clean and bed was comfortable.
• Hotel overbooked on dbls and never brought rollaway that was promised.

“The hotel itself was a decent full service property, however it was a bit hard to find (easy to miss as there are no highly visible signs). It was also out of the way. I came to Greensboro for a very specific event (show at the barn theater), but if Id had plans to do a variety of activities in Greensboro, I would've found the Marriott to be very inconvenient. This was not a huge deal though. My only real concern was the fact that when my mom and I got to the hotel around 4 in the afternoon, we were advised that there were no double rooms available. I really couldnt be angry. The desk agent said they'd send a rollaway. The rollaway never came. When we got back from the show around 11 and called to check on our missing rollaway, we were told that the only rollaway that was left was broken, but they could give me an air mattress. Now I have nothing against air mattresses, but Im a grown woman! The idea of sleeping on the floor on an air mattress does not appeal to me at all. The person at the desk offered us complimentary breakfast as compensation. When we got up for breakfast the next day, I suggested to my mom that we needed to stop by the front desk first to see if we needed vouchers or anything. The a.m. Staff seemed a bit confused, but did provide us with vouchers. Despite those couple hiccups, the property is nice. Not fabulous, but nice, and I would definitely stay here again.”

“This hotel is in a great location, you cant even hear the planes overhead for being as close to the airport as it is. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were tiny, not king sized like the bed. I am sure that seems picky but I had to put two pillows together to make a standard size, and it was not comfortable. The high speed internet which seems odd for a hotel which seems to be trying to pander to the business traveler market. I would think free high speed would be included, as it is in many less expensive hotels. Also, for the price I would have expected some sort of complementary continental breakfast, of which there was none, although the woman at the front desk did offer me a cup of coffee "on us". The staff was pleasant, the room comfortable for the most part, however if they are going to have an average price on this room, they need to step it up a bit. I would have felt ripped-off otherwise.”
