“The hotel was in a very remote location. However it was nice when we needed to fly out in the morning. I believe the airport is the ONLY draw for this hotel. We didn't have any choice but to eat at the hotel (due to its remote location), yet we were surprised at the pub grub we had in the "sports bar", it was very good.” Jan 25, 2008 by
Kelly from Falmouth, ME
“If you need a hotel because of an early or late flight at go, this is the only one you want. It is on the property. We walked out of our room and were curbside at the airport in 5 minutes flat.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Donna T. from Germantown, MD
“Should have been advised of reduced staff availability. Guests do not expect to make own beds.” Nov 29, 2007 by
Dawn from Pollocksville, NC
“All the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Also, very clean.” Nov 21, 2007 by
Randy from Hendersonville, TN
“Fitness center was called state of the art and was anything but that. Treadmills were at least five years old or more (hardly state of the art) and two of the three treadmills didn't even work! Very disappointing for a Marriott.” Nov 19, 2007 by
Pam from Bloomington, MN
“I love Marriott hotels, and this confirmed it for me. I would highly recommend them. The location is beautiful, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Fabulous service!” Nov 8, 2007 by

“All Marriott are great for comfort. They treat customer very special.” Oct 31, 2007 by

“The hotel itself was a decent full service property, however it was a bit hard to find (easy to miss as there are no highly visible signs). It was also out of the way. I came to Greensboro for a very specific event (show at the barn theater), but if Id had plans to do a variety of activities in Greensboro, I would've found the Marriott to be very inconvenient. This was not a huge deal though. My only real concern was the fact that when my mom and I got to the hotel around 4 in the afternoon, we were advised that there were no double rooms available. I really couldnt be angry. The desk agent said they'd send a rollaway. The rollaway never came. When we got back from the show around 11 and called to check on our missing rollaway, we were told that the only rollaway that was left was broken, but they could give me an air mattress. Now I have nothing against air mattresses, but Im a grown woman! The idea of sleeping on the floor on an air mattress does not appeal to me at all. The person at the desk offered us complimentary breakfast as compensation. When we got up for breakfast the next day, I suggested to my mom that we needed to stop by the front desk first to see if we needed vouchers or anything. The a.m. Staff seemed a bit confused, but did provide us with vouchers. Despite those couple hiccups, the property is nice. Not fabulous, but nice, and I would definitely stay here again.” Oct 18, 2007 by
Jason from Knoxville, TN
“Very nice public grounds and nice staff. The rooms look like an older property that may have been purchased and never brought to Marriott level.” Aug 30, 2007 by
Gordon from Atlanta, GA
“Good value. Comfortable rooms. Courteous staff. Getting there was very confusing due to major road construction in the area by dot. Was quiet even though located at the GSO airport.” Jun 21, 2007 by
Kathrine from Brevard, NC
“This hotel is in a great location, you cant even hear the planes overhead for being as close to the airport as it is. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were tiny, not king sized like the bed. I am sure that seems picky but I had to put two pillows together to make a standard size, and it was not comfortable. The high speed internet which seems odd for a hotel which seems to be trying to pander to the business traveler market. I would think free high speed would be included, as it is in many less expensive hotels. Also, for the price I would have expected some sort of complementary continental breakfast, of which there was none, although the woman at the front desk did offer me a cup of coffee "on us". The staff was pleasant, the room comfortable for the most part, however if they are going to have an average price on this room, they need to step it up a bit. I would have felt ripped-off otherwise.” Jun 10, 2007 by
Kate from Summerfield, NC
“It was clean and comfortable and the price was right. Room service was above average and the pool looked so pretty. Staff all smiles.” Jun 2, 2007 by
Anthony from New York, NY
“Nice, clean, and quiet. Good location with the exception that with the construction that was going on around the airport and the hotel, getting to the hotel via auto was a bit confusing.” May 2, 2007 by
Danny from Charlotte, NC
“Nice hotel and convenient location.” Apr 1, 2007 by
Robin from Forest, VA
“It was very nicely decorated and the rooms seemed nice and clean. Staff very nice. Restaurant in the hotel was expensive.” Jan 24, 2007 by
Brian from Wendell, NC
“Overall, I enjoyed my stay at a very clean, comfortable hotel managed by a very friendly staff.” Sep 20, 2006 by
Andy from Duluth, GA
“Quiet hotel on the grounds of Piedmont Triad airport. Excellent bed with plush pillows and covers. Fridge in room with coffee maker. Plenty of parking with easy walk to entrance. Typical of full-service hotels, they charge for breakfast, internet access, and lobby coffee. This was not a problem, but I think its interesting that the more hotels cost the more you have to pay for. Nice stay!” Aug 29, 2006 by
Stephanie from Conyers, GA
“This hotel location is very close to the airport. Maybe 5 min from restaurants and shopping. The lobby, staff and room was nice. The bathroom was OK but could stand for a makeover.” Aug 10, 2006 by
Linda from Madison, WI
“Good location, extraordinary work out facility, pool and whirlpool area, friendly staff. An excellent choice in Greensboro. I would definitely stay there again.” Jul 25, 2006 by
Mike from Radford, VA
“Nice pool, good food, nice room, great location. Only problem we had was noisy neighbors who we did not complain about till 0430 ( last straw) and they left 0445.” May 11, 2006 by
Curtis from Burnsville, NC
“Great for business travel and is close to retail businesses.” May 7, 2006 by
Robyn from Glastonbury, CT
“This hotel was clean, neat and the staff was exceedingly friendly. I did not like the location of the hotel as it was not close to anything except the airport (although the airport did not in any way effect the noise level at the hotel).” Oct 13, 2005 by
Vic from San Rafael, CA
“Quality, cleanliness, quiet, friendly staff, good room service and wireless internet.” Aug 31, 2005 by
Jo from Salem, VA
“Hotel staff did not notify security or they did not come after repeated attempts of contact. Only when I said I was calling 911 did they respond. One should not feel safe or secure with hotel staff&security if there was danger.” Jun 2, 2005 by
Bruce from Edina, MN
“I have stayed at this hotel on approximately a quarterly basis when I visit my parents in their retirement community for a weekend. The staff is always friendly and helpful and often recognizes me from prior visits. I particularly like this personal touch. The rooms are well appointed and even though the hotel is next to the airport I have never been bothered by airport noise. I generally arrive late Friday evening and it is very convenient to have the hotel so close.” May 29, 2005 by
Dan from Franklin, WI
“Completely peaceful, even though it was on the airport property” May 25, 2005 by
Doug from Galax, VA
“Great hotel! Employees really went the extra mile for us- Excellent facilities all around and as I said before, service far exceeded expectations! Will definitely go back to this location again.” Sep 2, 2004 by
Bruce P. from Edina, MN “My parents have retired to Greensboro and I stay (when I can) at the Airport Marriott. It is convenient to their retirement center and for my air travel to and from Greensboro. The staff is always pleasant and several have remembered us from prior visits. The facilities are also quite nice, particularly the breakfast buffet. However, what keeps me coming back is the great staff. They are to be applauded!” Hotel Representatives:
