• Business center and comfy bed.
• Bathroom needed updating, remote location.

“The hotel was in a very remote location. However it was nice when we needed to fly out in the morning. I believe the airport is the ONLY draw for this hotel. We didn't have any choice but to eat at the hotel (due to its remote location), yet we were surprised at the pub grub we had in the "sports bar", it was very good.”

• Proximity to airport (on site) the gentleman at front desk 2nd shift 1/21/08 was exceptionally friendly, yet professional. Liked having a balcony.
• Bartender was cold & drinks expensive.

“If you need a hotel because of an early or late flight at go, this is the only one you want. It is on the property. We walked out of our room and were curbside at the airport in 5 minutes flat.”

• Mostly met expectations.
• I did not like that the room wasn't cleaned after the first night's stay and I had to change my bed linen.

• Staff was very friendly and helpful and room was nice.
• Fitness center was terrible.

“Fitness center was called state of the art and was anything but that. Treadmills were at least five years old or more (hardly state of the art) and two of the three treadmills didn't even work! Very disappointing for a Marriott.”

• I only stayed one night.

“I love Marriott hotels, and this confirmed it for me. I would highly recommend them. The location is beautiful, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Fabulous service!”

• The hotel was clean and bed was comfortable.
• Hotel overbooked on dbls and never brought rollaway that was promised.

“The hotel itself was a decent full service property, however it was a bit hard to find (easy to miss as there are no highly visible signs). It was also out of the way. I came to Greensboro for a very specific event (show at the barn theater), but if Id had plans to do a variety of activities in Greensboro, I would've found the Marriott to be very inconvenient. This was not a huge deal though. My only real concern was the fact that when my mom and I got to the hotel around 4 in the afternoon, we were advised that there were no double rooms available. I really couldnt be angry. The desk agent said they'd send a rollaway. The rollaway never came. When we got back from the show around 11 and called to check on our missing rollaway, we were told that the only rollaway that was left was broken, but they could give me an air mattress. Now I have nothing against air mattresses, but Im a grown woman! The idea of sleeping on the floor on an air mattress does not appeal to me at all. The person at the desk offered us complimentary breakfast as compensation. When we got up for breakfast the next day, I suggested to my mom that we needed to stop by the front desk first to see if we needed vouchers or anything. The a.m. Staff seemed a bit confused, but did provide us with vouchers. Despite those couple hiccups, the property is nice. Not fabulous, but nice, and I would definitely stay here again.”

• Clean rooms. Lots of pillows large and small. Quiet.
• Restaurant was marginal for breakfast. Service in the bar was poor.

“Good value. Comfortable rooms. Courteous staff. Getting there was very confusing due to major road construction in the area by dot. Was quiet even though located at the GSO airport.”

• comfortable bed, large shower stall, iron in room.
• WiFi not included, small pillows, no continental breakfast.

“This hotel is in a great location, you cant even hear the planes overhead for being as close to the airport as it is. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were tiny, not king sized like the bed. I am sure that seems picky but I had to put two pillows together to make a standard size, and it was not comfortable. The high speed internet which seems odd for a hotel which seems to be trying to pander to the business traveler market. I would think free high speed would be included, as it is in many less expensive hotels. Also, for the price I would have expected some sort of complementary continental breakfast, of which there was none, although the woman at the front desk did offer me a cup of coffee "on us". The staff was pleasant, the room comfortable for the most part, however if they are going to have an average price on this room, they need to step it up a bit. I would have felt ripped-off otherwise.”

“Nice, clean, and quiet. Good location with the exception that with the construction that was going on around the airport and the hotel, getting to the hotel via auto was a bit confusing.”

• Great bed and quiet room despite being next to airport.
• Typical full-service hotel charges for internet, coffee.

“Quiet hotel on the grounds of Piedmont Triad airport. Excellent bed with plush pillows and covers. Fridge in room with coffee maker. Plenty of parking with easy walk to entrance. Typical of full-service hotels, they charge for breakfast, internet access, and lobby coffee. This was not a problem, but I think its interesting that the more hotels cost the more you have to pay for. Nice stay!”

• So close and free parking while we were away.
• Airport told us they called Marriott to pick us up when we returned but no one came so I walked (5mins).

“Nice pool, good food, nice room, great location. Only problem we had was noisy neighbors who we did not complain about till 0430 ( last straw) and they left 0445.”

• no security when called,loud screaming &violence thru out night

“Hotel staff did not notify security or they did not come after repeated attempts of contact. Only when I said I was calling 911 did they respond. One should not feel safe or secure with hotel staff&security if there was danger.”

• Very convenient location, friendly staff, reasonable price.
• The cost of the meals could be more reasonable.

“I have stayed at this hotel on approximately a quarterly basis when I visit my parents in their retirement community for a weekend. The staff is always friendly and helpful and often recognizes me from prior visits. I particularly like this personal touch. The rooms are well appointed and even though the hotel is next to the airport I have never been bothered by airport noise. I generally arrive late Friday evening and it is very convenient to have the hotel so close.”

“My parents have retired to Greensboro and I stay (when I can) at the Airport Marriott. It is convenient to their retirement center and for my air travel to and from Greensboro. The staff is always pleasant and several have remembered us from prior visits. The facilities are also quite nice, particularly the breakfast buffet. However, what keeps me coming back is the great staff. They are to be applauded!”
