• Location and price.
• Elevator broke down dirty bath room ceiling falling down no telephone book.

“I
asked for a certain room when
I called and was confirmed.
I got there and they said sorry but that room already gone. Did not like room did not have a digital thermostat, bath ceilings falling down. Drawers were dirty and full of ashes from cigarettes and supposed to be non smoking room. Elevator was down on Sunday. No telephone book.”

• Breakfast and cleanliness.
• Nothing negative.

“Stayed while attending Va Tech game. Rooms very clean, no dirt found, breakfast had a lot to offer. Hotel overall was very nice.”

• I didn't like anything.
• EVERYTHING - Dirty, Smelly, Stained, Terrible.

“WORST HOTEL EVER. The elevator was so bad that the rug was folded up and always in the way and it smelled like old dog and mold. The room was terrible. The couch had so many stains I didn't even want to put my luggage on it.”

• The room was overall clean.
• The front desk person couldn't really understand English and the hallways were littered with trash.

“I would not return to this hotel at all. This hotel really should make their rooms cheaper because the overall experience was awful.”

• It was available during a sold out VA tech v ecru football game.
• The rooms are old and smell. The paint was peeling in the bathroom.

“Only stay in it if it is the last room in town. It wasn't worth the price.”

“This is hands down, the worst motel experience I have ever had. Dirty room, staff needs to take ESL classes as well as learn the basics of hospitality.”

• Breakfast, elevators, clean bathroom and comfortable bed.
• The deterioration of the outside i.e., wall around the parking lot.

“A large, seemingly run-down motel which is being renovated from the bottom up. Management seems to be concentrating on the comfort of its patrons during this renovation.”

• It was easy to find.
• Rude staff, car alarms rang all night, very unsafe.

“This was an awful experience. We were going to arrive very late and I called ahead to let them know. The hotel attendant was very rude on the phone, could not speak English. We arrived after midnight, it was in a very poor section of town and the clients there were partying and drunk and very loud. Car alarms rang all night, I was awakened to a very vocal bunch outside my door, going at it for close to an hour. The room was not nasty but did not feel clean, it smelled horrible. The elevators did not work. I could not get out of there fast enough. I found out later it is known to be a big drug dealing spot.”

• Lobby staff appealing, good breakfast.
• Felt very unsafe, stains on carpet and in shower.

“This hotel should belong in the 1 star category until improvements are made to the grounds of the hotel and the guest rooms. The rooms have exterior entrances and dark stair wells, and I have to say that I'm surprised this hotel fit the same category of stars as others in the region.”

• Very, very friendly and helpful staff.
• Fixtures and furniture are old, kind of dingy-looking.

“This is a cheap hotel which is convenient to Roanoke's downtown and the civic center. It has a very friendly staff, but the hotel itself aims for the minimum level of comfort to avoid complaints. The breakfast, advertised as "full," is heat-it-yourself eggs and a microwave. The A/C is an ancient unit which is either not on or refrigerating the room. And the whole place is due for a renovation. Not a horrible place to stay, but really is "get what you pay for."”

• The hotel is a great deal, with good free breakfast, free high speed internet
• rooms were a little outdated
