• The room I stayed in was recently renovated.
• Location - requires a car or shuttle into town which stops running at 9 pm.

“The Residence Inn is a hotel with potential. Currently under renovation; the workers were active at all hours. The biggest draw back is getting to Forbes Ave to get something to eat. The shuttle van stops running at 9 pm. Due to flight delays; I did not arrive until 8 pm.”

• Overall 'at home' feel, felt like our own apartment.
• Needs wireless internet, better lighting in shower area.

“When we arrived at our 2.5 star hotel, we expected as much. to us though, it was easily 4 stars. there was a kitchen in the room and we felt like it was our home away from home. Complementary breakfast buffet was AMAZING! We both wanted to stay longer, and really loved the room and the services.”

• Mini suite, with whole kitchen, living room area.
• Location is hard to find and farther away from city.

“The Marriott residence is a very amenity full hotel, especially for travelers who need to stay at least a week. They are mini suites with a full kitchen, dishes, silverware, etc. Each room also has a living room area that is separate from the bed area with a couch for relaxing by the TV before you go to bed. The indoor pool and hot tub was nice and empty. The full breakfast buffet was one of the best Ive had and it was included in the price.”

• Size of and amenities in the room were super.
• The manager was excellent but regular desk staff surely.

“Kind-of a hike from Pitt's campus but the shuttle service was excellent. Good breakfast & the room were very comfortable and clean. I would stay there again.”

• Convenience and hospitality were great.
• Taken to the ballgame by shuttle, no return ride.

“Great location for Carnegie Mellon/ Pitt stay. Breakfast was great and all amenities, including laundry were adequate. The rooms are excellent and roomy.”

• The size of the suite, complete with fully equipped kitchen.
• The location, nothing much around it.

“I was very pleased with the hotel, and the staff was the friendliest I have ever encountered. A nice breakfast buffet was included. There was even microwave popcorn in the room.”

• My wife and I pretty generally agreed that it was our very favorite hotel stay of our lives, we only wished we could have stayed longer.
• The cold air vent in the bathroom .

“If you have business or pleasure in the university section of Pittsburgh especially if you prefer to look after your own culinary needs. This is the hotel for you. And it's even got an indoor pool and spa.”

• The kitchen in the room was great.
• I did not appreciate having to pay for parking there.

“The room was comfortable, clean, and a good value. Nine dollars for the parking was outrageous. The breakfast that was included was a nice bonus.”

• nothing - I like it all

“the marriott residence inn was perfect for our family. the room was clean, comfortable and with the amnities we expected from a residence inn. It was close to univ of pitt campus, which we needed & the price was great. Also a lovely breakfast. ”

• Large Rooms, Free Shuttle was very helpful. Good Breakfast.
• The bed was old and very uncomfortable

“Generally the hotel was very nice, room was large and well laid out. Location was a little difficult to find but convenient to the area where I was conducting business. Renovations are in progress.”

• The rooms were large and well kept.
• The staff was horrible. They were rude and unknowledgable.

“ALthough the facilities were nice, the staff at the hotel made my stay so unpleasant that I would never stay there again, nor would I ever recommend that anyone else stay there.”

• There is an extra parking fee of $9.00 per day.

• Clean, accomadating,heck, this was the best hotel I ever purchased

“This hotel was the best ever that I aquired. The rooms were spacious, exceptionally clean,the staff was courteous and accomodating and the amenities, such as the pool, exercise room, and hot tub were excellent. This efficiency room had a spotless refrigerator, bathroom etc. and internet capability witgh plenty of workspace. A-1 in my book.”

• I was late because shuttle bus took much longer than promised.

“This hotel was fine, but I've stayed in many other 2.5-star places that were nicer. There was a full kitchen in my room, and the room was fairly large, but the quality of the room and the hotel felt little better than a 1-star motel.”

• The room was great for the price we paid.
• I did not like that you had to go in the bottom of the hotel to get to the guest check in.

“The hotel was great. It was easy to find from downtown Pittsburgh. Our room was great. My husband and I have been to different hotels and we thought this was a great room. It was far nicer than the Hershey Convention Center room we had a few years ago. Great job in picking hotels.”

• The rooms were clean with nicely equipped kitchen
• Location is a bit away from the sites

“The price I bid was worth it. The kitchenette is nicely equipped for in-room meals and the furniture is comfortable. The room was clean. The location is a bit off the beaten path, a plus if you want to be away from traffic; a minus if you prefer walking to sites.”
